GCSE Options

Off the top of my head this is what i can remember;

Beveridge - beveridge report
Farr - backed up beveridge
chadwick - sanitary report, public health act
Snow - broad street pump
Bevan - brought in the NHS
Galen - Pig experiments, work believed for 1500 years, theory of opposites
Vesalius - disproved galen (no holes in spetum)
Harvey - heart was a pump
Simpson - chloroform
Lister - Carbolic spray, aseptic surgery etc.
Nightingale - Improved hospitals
Hippocrates - 4 humours
Jenner - first vaccine (small pox)
Pasteur - Germ theory, three vaccines
Koch - Proved Germ theory, photoed germs and died them
Fleming - Re-discovered penicillin
Florey and Chain - mass produced penicillin

Should be, just need to learn a few dates and what happened during egypt etc. not until monday so plenty of time to revise

Not much in Egypt tbh. Used charms and believe you got ill when a channel inside your body was blocked
