GCSE's

I have my Mock Highers (A-levels in England) coming up in Feb. I always find that writing down everything you need to learn is a really good way to revise.

Yeah, true, I've heard that theory, they may move me down in Science which means I get to do Foundation paper instead of higher which I am completely fine by.

Just had my mocks and some of grades i got so far, all done without revision

R.S 1/2 Course A
English Language B
Geography D
History B
Biology CC
Maths C
Chemistry DD
P.E Theory D
ICT D

Not too bad considering I haven't revised to be honest, most those D's will turn to C's or B's by time the real exams come along.

Yeah that ain't bad Jack.

Lol,double D's in Chemistry ;)

I just got my results back just on thursday from my maths and all sciences:

Biology : D
Physics : B
Chem : C

Maths : C

I got some modular results back.

Physics : A

Biology : C (Re-sit)

Maths : B (Re-Sit, less than a mark off an A :'(:'()

Got my mock results on Friday:

Maths - C
English (Took 3 mock exams) - A
Science - C (I was lucky to get that, suck at Science)
PE Theory (Resit) - A

So far I have:
A in Science
A in Maths
A in English. This is so far in the 3 main subjects of which I have actually started real exams for.

In my mocks for A level i got:
Chemistry: A
Pyhsics: Doing it tomorow
Maths: B, B

Most offers iv got from Uni's are ABB

How can you less than a Mark off A? LOL. Did you get 63/80 by the way?

Science - C (I was lucky to get that, suck at Science)
PE Theory (Resit) - A

My P.E Theory is awful, I can do most the question until I get to muscles, bones and ligaments :'(

I take it you do all three sciences in one then, cos parts of Biology are similar to PE theory aren't they (that is, if PE theory you study is about anatomy and physiology etc.) You should consider Biology for an A level mate.

found out my physics results on friday - i got pwned haha
target was B & I got a D, how depressing :)
resitting though so no worries (H)

GCSE's aren't as big a deal as teachers make it out to be. They go on as if its a life or death situation.
I manged to do quite alright without much revision at all. Only failed two of my subjects - French & Additional Science while picking up 3 As along the way. The rest i got Bs & Cs.

Most colleges require 5 A*-C passes (must include maths, science and english).

Some universities do look at GCSE's.

Jobs always look at A-Levels so make sure you do fantastic at A-Level.

Colleges like you to have good grades but as my brother found out who failed all his exams accept a E in food tech got in to a College course as they didnt have enough people enrolled in it. So really, your teachers do over exaggerate abit.
For a normal pay salary GCSE's arn't a biggy, but for big wages then there a must.

To be fair, 5 A - C's at GCSE is achievable even if you do the exam papers upside-down and write with your other hand.

GCSES are easy. A Levels are easy. University - tell me when you get there.
