GCSE's

I'm in my second year of university at the moment, and to be fair... if I didn't **** up so much this term, I'd be quite confident of walking away with a First Honours at the end of the 3 years.

Now I'm looking at a 2:1 if I work really hard in the next 3 exam terms. I'm such an idiot... I just didn't enjoy the course and got lazy.

A tip for anyone heading to University... By all means, let off steam in your first year, but when that second year rolls around, you'd better be ready to do the work if you expect to get a half-decent degree out of it and not waste 20 grand.
 
I'm in my first year, and im taking it steady cos all you need is 40% to pass. Silly mentality maybe but I dont see the point in stressing myself out when all i need is the minimum - this year doesn't count towards my final grade. Next year though i'm getting my ******* head down.

To be honest, it's still worth getting a decent grade in the first year if you can. It's quite easy to achieve a 60-70% mark (2:1) and not let the social life suffer.

The reason it's useful is if you plan to do a work placement along the line, they take the first year into account. Good luck with your exams, I assume you're doing the January ones at the moment?

I'm managing to pull some encouraging results out the bag in terms of assignments, hittng the 55-65% mark most times. Just got one test back; a 58% in a Poetry exam which is decent. I did my exams before Christmas but I got a sh*t load of assignments to hand in for next week, haha!
 
Maths exam was an insult to my intelligence today, after weeks of hardcore revision... I could of done it blindolded
 
Same here, but what did you get for the last question??? Question 27 about angle QPO or whatever?

I am sure it was 29 but the majority of people on here are saying it was 32?!?!

I do foundation maths (A)...

Maths confuses me and I can't stand numbers, much prefer lessons like Science / Music :P
 
Do you guys all have AQA as your examination board?
 
Yeah, I had Edexcel aswell, but my mate from a different school says he had AQA, so I was just wondering.
 
Just wait until AS-Level, that **** breaks your balls haha! I have an English lit AS level tomorrow, which is quite frankly the hardest exam in the world, purely because you have no idea what the theme maybe. Then history on Thursday. Brilliant FML!

Seriously, this was the only semi-challenging question on the paper.

i have A2 Maths on Wednesday and on Friday, Then A2 history a week wednesday, you think youre ******, all the maths i know, is fifa

is that C3 and C4? If so i have done that too because i do further maths, so i have to do S1 and M2 still! trust mate i feel for you!

angle OPT is 32 im working it out now give me a sec

PQT= 58

how embaressing i cba to do it i need to revise for english lol

Yeah done them 2. Did S1 in As further maths, and M2 in A2 maths.( did M1 in As further mathas aswell)

S1--> doddle.

M2--> was hard for me, but people who do physics found it easy.
 
Did Maths today, got very hard at end but found the start and middle easy, only want a C though so not bothered about harder questions :)
