No wins in either Champions League game leaves us looking at another 2nd place finish
Less issues in the League 3 wins from 3
AC Milan legend and coach Kaka leaves us to become the manager of Lazio. Wish him all the best but is it too much too soon? Nobody likes to loose a backroom member of staff but a man of his standing in the game i had no chance of keeping him from this chance.

Successful month fighting on 4 fronts
Jono Calleri went crazy this month finding 12 goals through the month.
Speaking of Calleri he along with Sisto, Barbosa and the summers wantaway man Jorge all extend there contracts till 2023, another 4 and half years. Taking advantage of being the best team in the world while we can.

Lazio still sit on 1 win from 16 and even worse Genoa still waiting for there 1st win of the season.

2 More managers lose there job. Jurgen Klinsmann finally got the chop at Fiorentina replaced with Swiss manager Urs Fischer while Udinese replace Roberto Beni with Didier Deschamps singing the deal on Christmas day.

What the chances? Identical result & scorer as 3 nights ago. Only this was far more dramatic. Juve spent most of the game down to 10 men and scrapped hard but like the Italian cup final they could not find a way through and with Extra time looming Bonaventura a few months short of his 30th birthday decided he couldnt be doing with another 30 minutes stepped up and grabbed the goal that made us the 1st team to defend the Champions League.

End Of Season 2018/19 Review

****** Sampdoria. They hold the Italian Super Cup and with that exception we hold every title we could have won. League was a shame for the neutral that the Juventus challenge came to nothing due to there abysmal form in the last 2 months. Squad wise im very happy that our young players started leaving a mark on the team.

The other big league winners were Atletico Madrid retained for 3rd year in a row which saw David Moyes sacked by Barcelona and replaced with Roma boss Frank De Boer, Bayern return to the top with Joachim Low & Chelsea still managed by Jose and winning the title in early April. What could have been Roman!
Man City finished way back in 7th and rewarded Antonio Conte with the sack replacing him with Porto coach Julen Lopetegui

Clubs pull in over £100m in profit but loose Gabi Barbosa
Much like last summer the transfers were clearing out more squad players to give youth more opportunities.
Ignazio Abate gets a testimonial against Palermo. Signed on youth terms in 2002, a few loan spells led to a move to Torino but after one season Milan brought him home in 2009. In his decade at the club he's played over 20 games in all but 2 seasons despite being the back up DR. Entering his senior years but with lack of a youth DR coming through means he'll still get plenty action.

Not sure what im missing here but he's only 28, played almost 30 games every season for Bayern but sat on the dump heap for over a month till i made a deal to take him to Milan. We will not miss out on a future fee when the time comes. I just felt Bertolluci, Mauri & Mastalli was a bit light in the middle so Thiago with his versatility will be a great addition if not mostly for depth.

Out
The biggest move we made possibly so far was the sale of Gabi Barbosa. No getting away from it he was awful last season and Man City & Barcelona entered a bidding war & thankfully Gabi took the extra £3m or so Man City offered us. Huge profit but will it come back to haunt us? Man City didnt stop there. They spent another £20m to pry Simone Pontisso from our back up team. Both of our backup defenders were sent on there way. With 12 months left on his deal Jherson Vergara was always leaving for Newcastle for £4.4m. The better half of the CB's Rodrigo Ely joined the list of overpriced Brazilians joining PSG for £21m and a potential £10m in future fee's. More players than ever out on loan.

Serie A Transfers
View attachment 147412
We were not the only team selling our star players. Juventus sent Martin Odegaard back to Real Madrid for £30m and Lazio sold Felipe Anderson leaves for Bayern for a meager £8.5m leaving Kaka & his Lazio team to make the biggest deal to buy Niklas Sule from Hoffenheim for £22m. Juventus make one great signing in Pjanic from Roma then a few horror moves adding Serge Gnabry £20.5m & Jason Denayer £12.25m. Better transfers from the other Italian clubs. Marcelo & Erik Lamerla join Udinese, Lazio also add Mario Balotelli, his team mate Christian Benteke joins Inter Milan and FM15 star Tony Sanabria joins Atalanta from Germans Stuttgart.

Out
Domenico Berardi had again complained about the amount of playing time he got in Milan. Suspiciously a few days later Atletico placed a bid and after a quick negotiation we had a deal in place. Never came close to being a starting player and now we have youths taking oppertunitys away from him now maybe was a bit early to sell but his time was almost up. Hirving Lozano was a totally different tale. In his 3rd season at the team and one of a few players that were fighting for Bonaventura's long term position on the left wing. Despite playing for a team that are looking for a 3rd Champions League in a row his head was turned like many before him by Real Madrid. Potential to see an extra £40m of income from these two deals.

The last game of the month seen the first big swing between Milan & Juventus. For the first time were now in a position to go top if we win our games in hand. After the title batlle the top 3 race is a utter mess. 5 points between 3rd and 11th. Poor Palermo & Pescara are the only teams i would say are mid table then from Lazio 14th to Brescia 18th we have 5 teams split by 4 points. Bottom two only a win behind that as well. Calleri is also giving Dybala a run for top goalscorer.
