GOOAALL-262-FM13.3.3 by Jesaustralia - The best tactic I've seen for FM13

Iniesta and Xavi are performing quite well both average around 7.5. With Xavi though he does get tired quickly, so is better used as a sub. Iniesta was not great at the start but has got better as the season has gone on, he has scored 3 goals and has 18 assists. Xavi has 6 goals but most are from pens and has 7 assists.

Also now I have got Stambouli, I have put Busquets in the CM role until I can get new players in that posisition.
In regards Espanyol game Messi and Saurez also got 3 assists each and they were awesome. Am getting goals from a lot of players but the poacher setting is giving me a lot of pleasure and of course goals from my strikers.

I'm really glad you experience the positive from the poacher settings - Stambouli is a real steal - I have also changed the centre midfield settings and I feel a deep laying playmaker type will command this position very well - I use either Koke or Pogba in this position - creativity and decisions is absolutely essential and to be honest so is composure teamwork and anticipation for me.

I took a leaf of faith by selling lots of players this season - Bender 40m bought for 23 he didn't overly impress me - Wilshere 46.5m is a monster, but to make room to other players including Eriksen - Pogba - Koke - Virtual Laudrup - Maher - Thiago - Moi Gomez loaned out - I already had 8 midfielders to pick from I promoted one youngster anchorman that I want to develop myself.

As you can see I bought Damiao - he was unhappy - and I'm certain he can be successful if he get to play lol - their isn't alot of space for him so I actually think I'll loan him out - I already got Messi - Lukaku - Maupay - Neymar - I don't think Damiao can command a position in the first 11. I made alot of sales and alot of profit in a very short amount of time - all from players I have gotten cheap or for free - then loan them out - then sell - ofcause a different story with Bender and Wilshere who I sold twice as expensive as what they were valued. I have alot of players loaned out to my feeder clubs mostly to develop them fully so they might be able to command a slot in the first 11 for Barcelona. I have never had Damiao - he got the ppm shot with power I think he could be good - I always see good stats from him in whatever save I play.

Anyway maybe Busquets will do good as a CM - I haven't tried it myself but if I remember correctly he's creative and I don't see alot of goals from this position anyway - this position resides right behind the 2 more offensive CM's and often anticipates passes from the opponent. Jump is good for this position.

Just got Kara back from African Nations Cup and have to say he is awesome, so thanks for letting me know about him. 6 games played and 6 goals scored with 1 assist, so at 7.75M he is also a steal!

Wow mate that's really impressive - 166 gls in la liga 1st season - Messi 65 gls both Suarez and Neymar almost 40 gls - Kara almost a goal a game - Bravery - Jumping - Heading - Strenght = great on corners - concentration - decisions - anticipation helps too i believe. Azpilicueta 18 assists in just 21 appearances - Maupay shows his talent already (I expected that) I see him score 4 goals in some games as a 17 year old - he's fantastic. I see alot of the same Kara averaging best of them all - He's a real steal - Pique and Bartra surprised me alot in your save - solid performances.

I'm not gonna advice you to get other midfielders - Iniesta and Xavi did good - but I will just remind you that their are players that are young and can do just as good, but you know that already.

I'm very happy to see this and I was about to ask you which 11 were your best pic, but you posted it all so thanks for a thorough report mate.

I want to ask you out of interest - who do you use as a assistant manager & who do you use as director of football?
I'm currently using Tassoti as *** man - Frank Arnesen as director

To conclude your first season I just wanna say thank you for testing it - I'm very much convinced now that these poacher settings is as close to perfect and will get most tactics many goals if being used. I feel its a significan't improvement not just to my tactic here, but to any other tactic if utilized - I'm pretty sure if you continue your save with Barcelona you will blossom through the next 2 seasons especially if you don't sign to many players each season - that will enhance it for sure - also try not to sign players in the January window - it can upset the team balance a little.

Its very solid mate - keep it going :)

I have bought Wilshire, Thiago and Doria for the 1st team squad.. Also Baggio and Mastour, along with about 7, 15/16 year old youth players and will see how they develop. Trying not to go mad with transfers in or out.. Have sold a few and sent a good number out on loan. As for Director of Football and Assistant Manager went with what I had at the start and not yet looked into changing.

I have Doria but I loan him out at the moment - is he good normally?
Wilshere when developed a little he will be a rich goalscorer - complete forward schedule i believe or box to box
Thiago is a Barcelona product and I see nice things from him in my save, but again he's a player that gets lost in the middle of Koke - Pogba and Virtual Laudrup.

By the way - Wilshere right centre midfield - Thiago left centre midfield.

I don't know Baggio - I must look him up
Mastour can become simular to Messi - let Messi tutor him - very important same goes for Maupay and for Halilovic - they need to get influence from Messi as it will greatly enhance them in their development.

If you let the assistant do the team talks i will say its very important that you get one that is 16-20 in motivating and get all staff as much as possible to have a certain degree of man management 15+ - I believe this will help you with the squad happiness.

I picked Frank Arnesen as the director not because he is danish but because he's an exellent director that can help you out getting your useless players sold - the lesser ones for a sum. Frank Arnesen was the one that discovered the real Ronaldo when he was bought for PSV - the one that played together with Zinedine Zidane - That Ronaldo was amazing too - I will never forget him :) and I hate when people call Cristiano Ronaldo for Ronaldo as I find it disrespectful to an older legend :)

When I have had Doria before he has been solid and has developed into a very good, not great CD. Douglas Baggio is Brazilian and I think he is at Santos, not had him before but thought he was worth a look at. In regards *** Man, I do usually use Ayerstan (spelling) or even have him as DoF. Will look to see who is available at the moment.

Also Koke and Pogba decided to go to Man City instead of Barca.
 
Tassotti is always the best Ast. Manager in fm. He is one of the best defending coach,have high man management and personality to attend press conference but also high tactical knowledge to give opposition instructions. As a DoF, I could vote for Fabio Paratici,current DoF of Juventus. And I go for Rodolfo Borrell as Head of Youth Development. He had provided my Youth team 2-3 good youth players per years.

Longshots are flawed greatly in fm13 - though in some rare cases its a successful attribute, but way to rare!! - so I will conclude it like this - its very unimportant - if a player has it ok fine, but not a decider whether or not he should play - finishing is more important in my opinion.

CML/R - acceleration - agility - 12+pace - decisions - composure - teamwork - workrate - anticipation - technique - passing 14+ - dribbling - first touch - finishing 12+ - Creativity - offball - stamina - strenght 12+
Thiago - Eriksen - Pogba - Koke - Oscar - Bernard - Wilshere - Messi - James Rodriguez - Isco - Gotze -

CM - Pirlo or deep laying playmaker type - I use Koke as 1st choice - Pogba can do it too - Busquets will do good as well - I find technique and creativity very important - passing less important as he does do alot of short passing - but to be on the safe side 12+passing.

Everyone seems to think pace is the important skill to have - its not - you want acceleration and you want agility - after that pace 12+ - Box to box midfielders in Frankenstein and any Langvatn tactic - I will say if you have workrate - teamwork - strenght - finishing12+ - stamina - some technique (wanyama) - quickness that will be a really good combo.

Same goes for defenders acceleration more important than pace - to have 12 in pace is very good for a defender - if you can back that up with 12+ acceleration as well - hint (KARA) - then perfect - He's a top 11 player in the entire game. If you have build strenght into your defender it would be a very good choice to train him on the sweeper schedule because he then trains his acceleration and anticipation both extremely valuable - I do this with Kara

Back in the day I wanted to edit the original Gooaall 262 to improve it futher - I never had the time to do it or in other words - I was caught up with other tactics or stuff in my life that interrupted any attempts of doing so.

As you can see I have released a new version above which I'm very happy with - Its truely a joy to behold - The original tactic is a highly recommended tactic that I strongly believe in, but this one is made with the purpose to optimize the two strikers in a way they become their best - I feel I have done that - I see them often score 2-5 goals a game and together I sometimes see them score 6-7 goals a game + I changed the centre midfielder to be more attacking and creative which makes this tactic a little bit more lethal than the original.

I'm not gonna show you any screenshots with prove or anything like that - you just have to trust my words that this tactic will give you all what you desire from a top team tactic - Its 3 changes the centre midfielder and the 2 strikers/poachers - so its still very much in the spirit of the original.

I use KOKE as the centre midfielder who still sits just behind the 2 CML/R - Strikers are Maupay SCL - Messi SCR. I like quick - strong and technical. The centre midfielder does not have to have high passing attribute, but I prefer this player to have 12+ passing and then lots of creativity and allround midfielder skills. Pirlo would be a perfect choice.

If you are still playing fm13 and want to try this version - can you please tell me how it goes for you.

Update...

Training

Preeseason - put tactic in all 3 slots
Team cohesion - Very high - 50% - Match preparation= Tactic -
rest before and after match not ticked

The rest of the Season - This I use
Team Cohesion - Very high - 50% - Match preparation= Attacking movement -
rest before and after match ticked - If having intensity set to very high then I highly recommend to individually rest the players after each match - so they will be ready 93%+ to play the next match.

Alternatively
Team cohesion - very low - 50% - Match preparation=Attacking movement - rest day before and after match ticked - you shouldn't need to rest individually and can use the same team over and over again - no need for rotation - if your players don't get 93% condition then rest him after each match, but I believe he should - I can also say that condition equals below 73%=3days rest - below 78%=2 days - below 83%=1 day - above 83=No rest

Hope this helps - you can refer to this for the other schedules as well

Just wanted you to know, that I follow your posts nearly every day! I am a bit lazy in bringing myself in, so I hope everytime when I look for new posts, that you haven't quit your work here.

I'm about to simulate a few years in fm13 because I'm tired of seeing the same players, the clubs doing the same transfers and so on. I hope that with teams full of newgens, I find a new motivation in playing the game.
And of course I am about to use your tactic! :)

I just felt I had to tell you this, because you seem to be a very nice person. Today I watched your video in the langvatn tribute thread!

Oh mate - I'm very flattered - I'm not going anywhere - Sometimes I get tired of it all and wants to go away, but that is not a surprise I got divorced last year and had to move home to my country after I have been living in Australia for about 2 and a half years - it has taken the air out of me and I'm trying to fight my way back to life after this misfortune - that's where FMBASE relief me for alot of stress and everything seems a little brighter - I have lost my happy touch though and I want to come back to that point where I can spread joy here and their - so if I seem cranky once in a while don't take it serious - its just me fighting other frustrations.

I'm very proud of what you just said - It means alot to me - I'm glad I can have a small impact on you guys though its just a game - for me its more than a game when I add this forum to the mix. Its been a pleasure since I arrived in this forum and I'm glad that I can help and advice you guys to enhance the game in general - I feel its necessary to repeat myself often like me repeating how I train the players etc. its always in a different reflection and their for important to repeat it.
