Vergara (Noted) - Shadrach (Noted)...

If you have seen Muller work great as a SCL/R - keep using him like that - He's a great player and if you do have 16 + quickness I believe he will do very good - otherwise ignore anything I say - if he does the job and quickness is not much then I'm wrong.

for me your midfield choices should be - Ramsey 1 - James 2 - Pogba 3 - Wilshere 4 - but can at times be hard to pick

I hope you get an enjoyable season with your new setup

Ok guys its happening - I thought I would never do it, but once getting into it - it kind of becomes exciting - so what am I talking about? - managing a lower league club ofcause :)

Who did I pick and what league?

I picked the lowest league possible - Skrill North and the team I chose was a media prediction 22 team....

I'm not related in any fashion with this team - but I believe I might grow funned of them if I see success - the players are absolutely useless so I sacked most of them - and I'm trying to sell the rest which is like 2 players - then I'm trying to sign a bunch of players who are free, but I'm already fearing for the wages, but I need to collect 22 players in order to succeed with this project. I already got a Kara type in defence I got a pacey striker with finishing 16 - wow right - yea I'm kind of excited - I will ofcause be using Brokeback mountain and I signed a motivational assistant manager to take care of teamtalks - My goal is to collect as much quickness as possible because I think that will destroy the opponents totally - their is no point showing you the players because they really suck lol - but I'm trying to build a team that are the best in the league - got a great goali as well - really high level in my opinion - ofcause I have to lower my normal Barca standards, but I believe that's exactly what you do in lower league management. If you get it right you will see dominance and those amazing double digits once in a while.

I can't wait for the season to start guys - its so exciting - I hope some of you will get motivated to do the very same and maybe get a new kick into the game.

I'll keep you updated....

I've been stalking his thread now for about a week so thought I would post.

Im loving broke back mountain! Strictly in a FM13 basis only, honest

I've been using this tactic along side one of bwompers tactics. I'm having great success using both. I lost my first game last night 3-2 defeat to Man Utd at old Trafford. It's mid jan and they were the first points I've dropped all season. Im currently Chelsea so I'm always going to do ok.

I love the 3 poachers approach it's sweet to watch the free flowing attacking football. Have you thought about adding it to any other of your tactics? Ideally for me one with wingers? The only reason being I started using BBM after the summer transfers and I'm not suited player wise for this tactic. I just spent 50m on a winger!!!!! So I don't want to loose him for not playing etc.

i will try and post some screens of my season later tonight.

so so just wanted to thanks jesaustralia for a great tactic. I look forward to following your skrill league tales. I may start a new game myself.

The name of the tactic is stricktly professional :D - it has no meaning at all - haha!!
You can lose with any tactic you use - that's how it is - it happens for different reasons - in rare cases luck - you still have to consider you are playing a top team - in some seasons you destroy them totally and in some seasons its tough like I lost 2-0 away vs PSG and in other seasons I walked all over them.

In my opinion the wingback works better than the winger and creates balance to the tactic offensively and defensively - so I won't change that. Try and go through this thread starting from page 1 their is alot of information to take advantage off - alot of content - some old and some new.

If you bought an expensive winger their is two choices that I can see you consider and both are good choices - retrain him to become a great wingback - or retrain him to become a striker - in many cases it can work it really depends on his current attributes - meaning how likely he is to succeed in one of the suggested positions.

Their is a 3rd choice to - but for sure that choice will be annoying because that means selling him and take the loss that you for sure will get - I recon 46.5m pounds which seems like the maximum amount you'll get in fm13

You are welcome mate - I just wanted to share what I see inside the game and it seems to me that people like that - so its a win win situation for me.

1st friendly for Buxton...

I played Bristol City (Championship team) at home - to everyones surprise we were their equal creating the same amount of chances as them, but lost the match 1-0 which I count as fantastic. I expected to lose 8-0

My team is almost ready set...I just need a backup goalkeeper - I'm slightly above wages and I can't do anything about it - so that will be the trickery in my season - THE FINANCES!!!!!!

If I'm right - then we will succeed in the same manor as my Barcelona team does it - How?

I'm in the opinion if you get the best players in the division you should see the same kind of success replicated as if you were a top team in spain.

I really can't wait for this to get started I'm so excited - next friendly is against Blackburn - my assistant is in charge of friendlies

So originally the ingame jerseys of Buxton was an absolute disguisting thing to look at - so I changed it up a little bit Black -Yellow & Red my favourite color combination or black & yellow all together - With only 2 weeks left of preseason I thought I should let you know I got all the players that I needed 2 players for each position - I'm comfortable that they will do well and ofcause we will play media prediction no 1 in the 1st game - ****!!!!

The team gel sucks and it will take some time before they will play as a unit. I sold 1 player alltogether and I was lucky 85k for a player that didn't look spectacular - all that money were transfered into the wage budget and still we pay to much wages, but I think its ok.

The preseason friendly matches so far has been amazing - lost 3-1 to Blackburn Rovers then went on to win 3-0 and 3-0 against 2 non league teams - but its all about the gel :) - afterall it is Brokeback Mountain yayyy :P.

My Barca manager had the opportunity to pick between Italy - Portugal - Wales & Denmark - I applied for all 4 teams. The team I picked was Denmark - for two reasons - the first reason is that I'm danish - but the 2nd reason are the quality of their current squad - they were the first team to ask me if I wanted the job - so I said yes - I was very interested in the Wales job - lots of talent in their team too.

Now I must say - I modified a few danish players - not over the top or anything except 1 player - I just become aware that Denmark have an amazing midfielder named Sisto - he's originally from Sudan but speaks fluent Danish and even with a danish accent - Amazing!!! - this player is a jewel - you can watch him on youtube here

So I modified the ingame Sisto as a wonderkid - for me he beats Odegaard everyday for the next 90 years ;) + he's Danish :D - he speaks danish - he looks danish and he's just so danish. I bought him for Barcelona and now I'm selling Koke which I probably will regret

Anyway I can't wait to get this party started - so I hope you will follow this - it might become eye opening.

Buxton - Premier day...

So the 1st match against Tamworth media prediction 1 - we were in the lead twice and lost the match 3-2 away from home - obviously this leagues Real Madrid - the play were horrible to watch and I thought to myself oh this is gonna be a pain, but I went on to the next match at home against someone hehe - don't remember their name you can look at the image below and judge.

I have seen that before, bu with Barcelona - so this already give me an idea that this tactics integrity is kept intact as long you keep the idea in your head that you want to own the best team in the league or the sub best. I think this idea can be replicated in any league - Turkey - Denmark - Austria or even Ireland - as long you have the best players available compared to everyone else - you will be getting great results like you were Barcelona. Now - this is early on and I'm on a high winning 7-0 and feel like I can take on Barca myself right now lol! ofcause we need a half season to be played atleast to be able to judge this environment.

The play at times look really dumb - but overall I don't think it matters - I'm confident that I will challenge for promotion and hopefully their will be many more high scoring matches like the one above - in the last game the centre striker scored 4 goals and he look like a very tall moron :)

Alright guys I'll keep you posted and eyes will open for new stuff

I wanted to spare some players - cause a very important RMA match is coming up 3 days later, but that game will now be in great grave danger of a loss too - due to a morale dive - I'm so annoyed with that

Ok guys a tiny update...

Been experimenting with Barca a little - Gave them an extra long holliday before the season started and it might have hurt them - I can't really conclude that, I just know their will be no more such a thing as hollidays for any team that I manage.

I tried attacking setpieces match prep. and it works, but I feel its not worth it, unless your team is not as great in other areas - so if you are an average team this might help you in any tactic. That has hurt results for Barca in terms of goals I think and I am now going back to attacking movement as I think its the only really good option - though I like defensive positioning, but that hurts your goal average as well - but keep opponents from your goal - because defensive positioning means more possession - some will call it better organized, but less flamboyancy/less goals which defeats the purpose right?

Teamwork I really don't know in what tactic that is good for except for growing your team cohesion long term.

I'm also trying something new with Brokeback M. to see if this has a positive effect on anything - So basically I'm experimenting - I'm still happy with the tactic, but wanna see if something shows itsself visually to me.

I was definitely to fast and enthusiastic when I won 7-0 in a game - I can tell you now - it sucks!!!! - its boring like **** right now and its not as easy as I told you all that it is - my bad guys - this is a very boring journey where you will have alot of problems away from home - but often do well at home. The play is actually a pain to watch so I'm not enjoying that - worse is I'm in October and I'm already in debt - so I'm thinking - disaster will happen. If I had to go for other types of players than I did this club would scrape the bottom.

Yes I'm in 3rd spot and that is good for a media prediction 22 team - We were KO'ed from the Fa cup instantly - the team gel sucks and will probably be alot better after x-mas - so we'll see what happens then, but so far I have to say I admire those who do this, but how they do it without going into debt I don't know. My version of Kara in the team is the best player.

Denmark...
They are doing good - lost at home to Belgium 2-1 but should have had a draw - since then we have beaten Montenegro - Scotland and Latvia all games really good results - We also beat Uruguay in a friendly - all in all what I expected.

I hope you guys are not put off by this journey - how do you do out their?

I took on the challenge Jes, Started new save last night and took a long time to get in players to start season, Skrill south is league I think. Team called Gosport, media prediction 22nd(Last) Got rid of all but about 4 players and 2 were GK's. Have bought in about 20 players. Is not pleasant to watch and team gel is terrible. But should have tactic fluid by about 10 games I hope. Will post something up tomorrow, won't be easy on the eye I fear! Could be wrong, we will have to see!

Very cool mate!!!! - this challenge is a patient game - beware!!! - don't count on an automatic promotion - however funny it sounds this is the toughest challenge their is in fm - any fm lol - but very cool that you are doing it - I will continue mine, but I think it will end wrong somehow hehe - which means I might have to start over which I really don't want to :)

The new tweaks are very promising only using them on Barca - but if they continue working I might say all tactics can be improved with these tweaks :) - so could be ground breaking - lets hope.

It is a very difficult challenge and I agree one does have to be patient with it. For me a league place finish anywhere around 10th to 15th 1st season I will consider a success!
 
My team have started playing a little better visually - they beat a 5th division team in the fa trophy cup - and we have now progressed to the 3rd round which they call 2nd round hehe - the good - their is money to win - I cleared my debt, but will go into debt again and my team has in general started to win alot more - using a new tweak a tiny but significant tweak I think. I'm not releasing it yet because I think it maybe hurt the centre striker for some reason and make SCL/R better even though the striker settings hasn't been touched - oh well you can try for yourself if you like

So tweak:
wingbacks and CM's - Try through ball=Rare - makes CM's dribble more and more dangerous - maybe they should be at sometimes to get the centre striker started again - the wb's also dribble more and they started to score more as well, but as I said I'm not sure yet - I'll keep it on this setting for a while - Lukaku will not be close to 90gls this season.

So did you get a good goalie Ossis?
and what about strikers?

The goalie I have is OK, no more than that, is good enough for this league. However like the majority of the team is on appearance money only, so does not have a contract and could leave at any point. The strikers, I have an Argentinian striker who is my best one but his finishing is only 11. Best player in team is a MC from Norway who is one of the few under contract.

How much do you pay a player in appearance money ? - didn't think of this myself

Tip: If you didn't know - you can get 4 decent loans where you dont pay any salary - well worth it

Could you post an image of a player that's on appearance money only?

You get them by filtering free players?

Yes, Jes.. I look trough the free transfers and out of contract ones as well. Approach them with a contract and see what they want. I found a lot wanted a non contract and appearance money and possibly a striker might want a goal bonus. No wages at all. Just looked and 1 player is on £210 a game and a goal bonus of £210. In regards loans I tried to get players in on loan but all but 1 refused to come to Gosport, not sure I can blame them lol

I am half way through league season with Gosport... Am in 9th place and have an FA Cup 3rd round game away to Southampton, not hopeful of winning that one, but surprised I have got this far. So season is going a lot better than I thought it would. Not pretty to watch but at times it does look OK!

Thats really cool mate - I went away from my tweak and made another tweak instead based on creative freedom lets see how that holds.

Buxton - I'm almost in january and sitting in 3rd spot only 3 points behind the leaders - the great news is it looks like I'm selling 3 players in the january window - for a whooping total of 240k alltogether - at this level I count that as huge - I'm currently in minus 12k and need that to be adjusted - I have a CM who plays for the u21 slovakian national team - I haven't really given him much playtime and I should - so that gives him the chance - and I have looked into the pay per appearance thing which I think looks promising, now though it really depends on who I maybe get a chance to sign - if an offer is to good to refuse then ofcause I will get that player, but he needs to be lenghts better than the others.

I read their is no price money before league 2 - so that sucks :)

I altered CF for Buxton to 0 just to see how that will go - Reversed =20 I did for Barca except the CD's - ANC and SC
