ah i won 3-0 away in the fa trophy and earned about 8k from that -

your southampton game must be worth good money Ossis?
 
Not entirely sure Jes... I lost the game 4-0 but Southampton only scored after my DM was sent off. So held them with 11 players but last 20 minutes they destroyed me. Don't think I will get a pay out for FA Cup until it is finished. However, am on 6th Jan and profit this month is 335K, so that has to be from cup game as last month I made a profit of 2K and projected balance last month was a loss of 111K and now is a profit of 201K. So perhaps cup game with Southampton made me/club 90K. Though as I say not completely sure.

As far as I know - they split the gate receipt/receives? - well the money from the spectators - if they get a prize playing in that round I don't know. That's alot of money so must have come from the facup - good for you should be able to pay off some new signings :)

That is a good point Jes, as I have been able to offer full time contracts to about 6 players since the FA Cup match and have only gone 1 day in save. I get the impression from the finances that the one game against Southampton made the club around 300K, which if true is fantastic as it would put them in a stable position not just for rest of this season but next season also. Not sure about prize money before NPL2, but would not be surprised as this low in leagues is more or less amateur/part time football

Gosport season over and was I believe a success... Just going on media prediction of 22nd and finished in 11th. Trouble was though that finished the season on a bad run of results and picked up 9 pts from last 10 games. Was around play off's with 10 games to go, but form went bad and fell down league.

Well with the players you bought - no-contract players - i think its a great achievement!!

I'm at the moment testing creative freedom - if their is a specific level of CF that performs better than the other - after that I'm gonna test Width.

In the Barca & Buxton save - Buxton is sitting in 1st position at january - but the top 6 are very close to each other - I sold 3 players in January and made alot of money compared to 6th division in england - I managed to turn around the finances and have 230k - but lost 3 good players - so how much that will hurt the team I don't know.

I can also add that training intensity is set to Very low - condition especially in december and january is very struggling - setting training to very low helps out a little.

It will be interesting to see how the season after will be for you Ossis - I hope it will be better - I can't use the money I earned for the club so its a bitter sweet taste to lose those good players that I sold - 1 had 19 stamina.

I do have to assemble a new squad as only about 6 or 7 will stay. Meaning I will have to bring in 15/16 new players. The thing is I get lots of possession home and away, just that my strikers didn't finish the chances when they came. With players I had, yes is a big achievement.
 
Ok did the test - used countless of hours doing this to collect data - the end result was confusion, but I did realize a few things though - creative freedom does not influence the tactic - it influence the player who has it or not - so should you give high CF to everyone? - no definitely not - If you are Barca or a great top team - I will suggest to you not to be scared to give CF=20 to special players - Messi - Maupay - Neymar - James Rodriguez - Pogba - Oscar - or regents like them - I will also suggest to give it to specific positions - SCL/R - CML/R - Wingers - CAM's - and maybe Attacking Wingbacks. Don't give it to CD's - FB's - Anchormen - or a prolific striker you want to do one thing - score goals (Lukaku - CF=5 for him) - CF=10 will be a good number for them maximum.

Width was for me a big one - if you wanna close up shop - make width very narrow - so between 0-5 on the width slider is highly recommended to use if your team is not a top team like Barca - If you are someone like any team below the top teams in terms of quality players - I highly recommend to go 5 in width - if your team is really poor compared to the rest of the teams in the league - by all means go ZERO.

Defensive line and tempo I didn't get much information I feel is worth sharing - Time waste were interesting because its so easily an overlooked slider - I saw some really amazing stuff on time waste=15 - what? yes 15 I said - I destroyed both WBA and Liverpool and got some good results in general - but I also saw positive performances from 0-5 and felt most comfortable having the slider at around 5 - so didn't learn alot their, but for other tactics they should maybe test the timewaste slider at 15 - it might do something extreme for them.

My Buxton team just played no 2 in the league - I'm using BM with poachers and then I adjusted width to 5 and the opponent didn't have a single chance in the 1st half, but got a little better for them in the 2nd half, but they were never dangerous - we won 2-0.

Ossis and anyone who play with low league teams - I strongly recommend you to change the width to 5 - if you feel it does nothing for you - you can try 0 - if that still does nothing then its back to the good old 17 - which is a magic number in brokeback mountain - I think in for instance Frankenstein the magic number is 10 for width - however being an underdog team or worse than a top team I would recommend 0-5 in width in Frankenstein as well - it depends on the quality of players you have available.

I just need to share something - and not only is it showing off, but it is also helping you at the same time.
The subject is Creative Freedom of this post - I put both CM's both WB's and all 3 strikers on CF 20 and I think I saw the most stunning performance I've ever seen in any fm game - Lukaku curling the ball in off the post with outside of his foot - Maupay hammering the ball in the triangle of the frame - Maupay hammering it into the roof and so much more - if I was a good sport I would record a video of this, but I'm not feeling it - so you must experience this yourself and I have already let out the beast and will explain something, but 1st get motivated by these two screenshots.

Yeah poor Valencia - total destruction - I was actually playing them in game before this one but in the cup where I saw a delicious chip from Neymar - and 2 incredible header goals by my 16 year old talent Mazari.

Now I am 100 percent certain that you should forget all about - Creative freedom overrides instructions - it doesn't - I don't know why some people keep saying that - its really annoying and very far from the truth - I want you to take note of this!! - Giving a player 20 in CF unfolds his amazing attributes - you cannot afford to not give it to him - Why? because it looks better in the game engine and the player starts to play the way he's suppose to - which in many cases of a star means he will play amazing!!!!

WWFAN said it clearly - its a flair boost - it has nothing to do with overriding your instructions, but has everything to do with - letting the player blossom - let him free like a bird - Your game experience will be enhanced a hundred times - I see it so clearly now - 7 players given CF=20 in my barca team and they play like being in god mode - I wonder what will happen if I give 20 CF to my defenders as well. If you have quality players - you know what to do with them now - you still give them the normal instructions within the tactic and then he adds his skills to it - that's how you should see it.

Bwomper - if you are reading this or anyone else for that matter - try and load up a save or start a new game - load up RMA or Barca If using Frankenstein -

CF=
SCL/R=20
Wingers=20
CAM=20
DCML/R=20

I promise you the play will be outstanding - take your favourite tactic and do this and then report back what you see - I just gave 2 strikers for my Buxton team 20 CF and it even works at a lower level - saw a volley goal in the last match - So if your player is less skilled like a tank centreforward often are - should you give him CF 20? - YES!!!!!!!! - you'll see why - he will do amazing things hitting the ball to the roof of the goal - amazing headers etc - its worth it!!!! - just do it guys

I'm very happy right now - this is good stuff.

I want to try a muti-role tweak in Frankenstein tactic (your poacher settings for the left striker,Pele role for the rigth striker,Emmerich role for both AMR/L ,the champ Libero settings for the central CD and Im thinking in Messi Role for the CAM or your CAM settings of CAMSTAR tactic)

So in CF terms I will do : CF=20 for the 7 players of the front,maybe 20 for the libero too and 0 for the central defenders.

My 7 of the front will be :

STRIKERS: CR7-MULLER

AMR/L: JESE OR JAMES OR BALE OR REUS

CAM: RAMSEY OR SHADRACH OR TIELEMANS OR ZELALEM

DM: POGBA OR ALABA OR WILSHERE OR VERRATTI

I highly recommend to have the central defenders on 10 CF - other than that I'm looking forward to hear how you go.
Having them on CF=20 should make you visually see them unfold their amazing play - whether it be shots - run with ball - or beautiful passes - hope you get it working!!!

Bearing in mind that the players I have at Gosport are not very good and I have a lot of trouble attracting experienced players. I put the tweak on 0 for the last 11 games... Have now placed it on 5 to see if it makes a difference. Also my team morale is terrible as well.

**** - is it fully fluid? - and is it using the settings above - maybe my team is just too good - I don't know - I haven't used any money to get these players - some of them are picked up in the Free category - so they don't have a club - then some no-contract players as well.

I just checked several of my player would be a good player in league 2 so ofcause my team should do well - I look at current ability. I have been lucky to pick up 2 players from Chelsea and Man.City that can be a good indicator as well - the Man.city player I didn't even field as a 1st choice in the 1st half of the season - as I had others - others that I later sold for profit, but all players are free. This player looks like a no no to buy - but he's doing well though his strenght sucks - his ability is good for most league 2 sides.

This guy was reported to have 4.5 star development potential so I signed him - he's only 1.5 star - it was a mistake - so now i'm stuck with him for the next 3 years

Players will always play a role of the potential of success - and I did go out and got lots of players that I thought would be good for the skrill league - reason for my success I guess. I still strongly believe that width=5 is good for these small teams - its very tough for the opposition teams to break down - this is something I've just learned since starting llm.

Don't go overboard with the CF - at this level they probably need to be more disciplined - 10 should be their maximum in the attack while i think you can go 20 on the midfield - wingbacks should have 0 at this level.

here i am again. always following the thread but hardly ever posting.
Started a new save with Tottenham (yes again :) )
I use Marcelo 3-1-4-2 tactic but implemented the poacher settings and also gave both my strikers 20 CF.
this was my last match against chelsea. i did not buy any world class players, although will hughes and maupay maybe become world class ofcourse.
I was impressed with our play although eriksen made a big mistake which gave chelsea the goal lol
Do you think i should put my cm, dm and wingers on 20 creative freedom as well ?
