One note also on match preparation when on attacking move. What I see is better off the ball movement when in attack. Teamwork as you say gives more possession. Not really got an opinion as to which is best. Would say it depends on team and players you have.

Well first off - Lionel Lucas - fantastic name!!!! and what a player he looks to become - a real gem for such a small team. I reckon your team will improve year after year and suddenly take over the top 5 within the next 4 seasons. The Man.u win was tremendous for you - very nice.

Match prep. - I wanna have this preference - teamwork is a helping tool to gel the players - when they reach die for each other - I should switch to attacking movement or defensive positioning - in the meantime it helps the team to play better on the field compared to having it set to attacking movement. Team cohesion in general training also helps with the gel effect - so its a double attempt to reach die for each other. So when that is reached I wanna change to attacking movement then I wanna see possession play still as I was still using match prep. teamwork

Your Preston team should probably use defensive positioning - but if not gelling - teamwork - I will try to go teamwork as long as I have to untill die for each other.

With Preston I go with teamwork as we do have bad runs of results and this means it has so far not got past strong understanding. As for defensive positioning, if team gel was extremely strong I perhaps would, but I get the feeling teamwork is better for my team at this time. Better players help as does winning matches.
 
Season over with Preston and used mostly Def Positioning, with Attacking movement in some games. Was in truth an astonishing season. 7th place in EPL and actually won FA Cup.

Screenshot of a couple of regen players thought I would share, Bulgarian defender looks good with potential. Not as sure about the 18yo Italian midfielder. Perhaps need more game time so loan might be best for his development.

I'm gonna try out the secret sauce tactic with my created Darlington 1883 team. I have created a team with all top training, youth scouting etc the team is based in San Marino but we play in the Blue Square North league. Ive filled my backroom staff with loads of former internationals and also have Josep Guardiola as my Assistant Manager so lets hope i can have some success with my regen squad of San marinese and English players.

Well good job!!!! - hows your economy? - Personally I would like you too establish Preston in the premier league - it seems to me you are not far behind the championship - a few key signings and its going your way - will be interesting how you will carry Euro League. The talents looks ok in my opinion - loan out is a good idea for their development, but make sure its first team football they get. How is the play on the pitch for your Preston side?

I'm still on teamwork - but are at extremely strong understanding - I decided to stay on teamwork untill I reach die for each other - once that happen I will go attacking movement. Both my first 11 and the next 11 the ones I call a cup team is doing amazing - I'm a bit annoyed with Eden Hazard - its seems like he's not good enough for AML - Simular type to Muniain - which is weird to say - he's a world class player, but his finishing sucks compared to Bale - Reus would be good to have - though I have a loaned out Jese' that maybe could do the job if he actually got some playing time :) . As I have formerly told you - I've been watching the match preparation very closely and have come to this conclusion that all teamwork is good for is to improve the teams gel level faster - reach die for each other faster - that's for me a very useful match training options - then I expect they will have alot of possession when they reach this level while going to play with attacking movement.

Barcelona wins all matches except the one they played against us - we have two games in hand and if winning those two games we will be 1 point in front - so big excitement and cool to have such a good competitor in the league. Goals scored comes from many players - So I'm not gonna overthink what match training does - I think the team gel will help with that outcome - I currently score above 5 goals a match and I'm in mid January and I can expect a very compressed match schedule for the rest of the season - CR7 close to 40 gls and has many matches to go - playing as an AMR. Maupay has been tutored by CR7 3 times - that really works - he's 17 and could easily beat Falcao to be in the 1st team - but I like to take it slow so he developes well.

I'll be back with end of season results in a few days I reckon - won everything so far - just 1 draw vs Ath Bilbao away from home some time ago - now we just beat 97% even with the reserves.

Firstly I have turned down the Man City job, as I want to see how my young team develop over the next 2 or 3 seasons. The play with Preston at times is quite wonderful, we do still lose games of course and is generally from silly individual mistakes. The link up play is good with the players, but can at times look a bit ugly, this causes the mistakes and the conceding of goals. So for me the play has got a lot better over this season, but have now got better players. Some young players coming into team and they are developing well. This shows up when watching the games.

Financially we are looking good. Made a profit over just over 30M last season and projected balance is over 90M. That is of course including the TV rights for next season. Not got my transfer budget for next season yet. However it should be at least 20M, like last season. Although I did get another 11M in the Jan transfer window. So am at least making a profit.
 
Played Ath Madrid away in the Copa del rey semi final 1st leg - Ath Madrid is always a team I'm scared to play against especially away from home - almost the team I'm most scared of. So I go down to 10 men after 15 minutes - Carvajal got red carded - so it is laying in the cards this is gonna be a struggle - we will lose 3-1 or 3-0 - 8 of my players are reserve player meaning 2nd choice from the 1st 11 - So the likes of Maupay - James and Eden Hazard plays the cup matches. Here's what happened

So obviously its not an 11-0 win - but it feels just as good because of the sending off so early on - to make matters worse I had to use 2 subs within 30 minutes of the match. Ath Madrid fielded their best 11 or their abouts - I didn't see Griezmann - but they had Victor Fischer instead. I feel this shows the strenght of this tactic - its very strong defensively with my team - its obviously also very strong offensively and I'm not using attacking movement yet.

Anyway I just wanted to show you this - I'm honestly not caring much for the cup games - but its something to win - a trophy you will hide away in the club closet.

Update on Preston. Have finished 3rd season in EPL and was more or less same as season before in league. Ended in 7th place same as last year. Lost in Euro Cup 1st round knockout stage 2-0 on agg to AC Milan.

Guys I did something - I went through all clubs in the premier league - significant Russian clubs - French clubs that I know off - Most significant Spanish clubs including Barca - Ath Madrid - Sevilla - RMA and Valencia - several german clubs and other clubs around Europe and even United states Argentina and Brazil - I gave them all significant financial income - Some more some less, but less was something like 100m pounds - The lesser English clubs got minimum 100m pounds - its then just a matter on how they will use the money - In comparison I gave City and United 800m pounds + a sugar daddy that will pump money into their teams if they need it. Infact I gave most clubs sugar daddy status some foreground - but lesser clubs got it as an Underwriter chairman - So alot of money in circulation in my save and this ofcause add to the excitement of beating Sevilla so comprehensively. It will be interesting to see how they will cope with the lesser opponents on attacking movement.

Tough one to call - but if you keep using this tactic I recommend Barca big time!!!! - then you can also get a chance to see the tactic completely unfold its full potential :)

Interesting update.. Barca are media predicated to finish 3rd, also have to qualify for CL group stage. Will say though the tactic already looks better to watch with Barca than with Preston and is a long way off being fluid. Big job to get this sleeping giant awake again!

Actually I have seen him better than this in my own save, but he certainly is something in your save - maybe you should buy him for Barca for a season or two :)

I got a draw against Barca away - I'm thinking teamwork might be best, I'm not getting more flamboyant results yet with attacking movement - I will stay at attacking movement for the rest of the season. The defence record is the most amazing about this tactic for me - but offensively 93 glsd the 1st 19 league games is special too. Falcao I will sell again - I realized Maupay is to good and its a petty not to use him as 1st choce - Hazard I think I will sell as well - James don't get enough playing time and that's a real pity because he will develop in to an outstanding player given playing time - I got several tanks for the future - one of them he had a debut match vs Bayern away from home - he scored 1 and assisted 1 and he doesn't look all that great - he's far from being fully developed - we won that match away 3-0 which is fantastic in my world - its Bayern!!!

I found some amazing regents that I will buy - and their is probably more to come - we'll see :)

Ok I'm back on teamwork - Their is a very huge difference somehow - I feel it doesn't come down to cohesion - infact the cohesion level went down a level when I started to play with attacking movement and that defeats the purpose of it all. I'm selling Falcao and Hazard - it makes room for James Rodriguez and Isco some more + I'm buying Rodrigo using my transfer trick that I discovered earlier - I only pay 16m pounds for this guy and he supports RMA.

Pogba is becoming more and more the player we all know he will be - Schweinsteiger though is from another planet and together with ball consistant Kroos that's a magnifico midfield. I'm starting to have thoughts about Khedira - so within a few season he will probably go - I got Stambouli and I got Cristante + a huge regent talent from Paraguay coming to the club soon. Muller is hardly getting enough appearances - its almost embarressing how little he gets at the moment - but I prefer 17 year old Maupay in the league games and then I use Falcao for CH League - I also have a loaned out Lukaku that could come back and be straight in the team - then their is 2 tank regents who's first touch is not up their with the best - but both very young and very tall - 205 & 207 - Imagine those as a couple :) - I got Tielemans who is 16 and look like he's 30 development wise - When I had him before in another save I thought he didn't perform the way he should - I hope he will be better in this save. I also got Will Hughes who also is loaned out to Tottenham at the moment and he have developed quite a bit so another great midfielder - in general their is a huge cover in the midfield - hard decisions in that position - I feel Schweinsteiger is someone you keep till he is 38. Best defender in the game for me is Varane - for me he is a RMA player all the way and should be in the club till he retires - Kara Mbodj (watch him at youtube) and Dede is simular types - Strong and tall and both are players with a very high consistancy level - Smalling is great because he also can play DR - incase of many injuries that's very nice to have a player to fulfill an extra cover role. Thiago has the most terrible job in the world - he plays for a team who is an opponent to his favourite club Barca - He's being used as a super sub - I know if I played him more he would develop alot more than what his current level is at. So again my midfield has no room for talents unless I let someone go.

So I just played Chelsea away using Teamwork - I also adjusted CF for the two winger =20 and 18 for the striker - all I did

When you have players like CR7 - Bale or even Messi you want to see them unfold their amazing skills so I did that - and beating Chelsea the way we did is a result that's very rare - It happened against Bayern 3-0 away and now Chelsea 6-1 away - Knock out in the 1st leg I would call it - We went behind and I thought it would be a struggle, but no way they just smashed it and personally this must come down to one of the most magnificient results I have ever had - mostly because its an away win against one of the best opponents in the game.

Anyway my current goal is to get a 37-1-0 record in la liga and win anything else their is to win - doable? yes I believe it is - lets see coming to the end of the season - currently 1st of April.

PS congratulations to the Danish National team - for beating Serbia 2-0 yesterday - it was truely exciting to beat such a good team maybe individually one of the best national teams these days - Football however is a team sport - Serbia don't rank anywhere near the best when it comes down to that - player by player - fantastic players - I also saw that CR7 was having fun for Portugal some great goals he scored.

Cycling: My big passion is cycling 2nd to football - Yesterday The Swiss tour started and I'm ofcause very interested in the danish rider Jacob Fuglsang - he have lost something like 5 kilos and ride better than Nibali at the moment - So lets see if the captaincy is up for grabs coming the forth coming main event of the Cycling season - Le Tour de' France

I will start by saying I was surprised at the standard of players that I inherited at Barca. In my opinion only about 4 or 5 were Barca standard. I bought in 3 teenagers and 2 of them ended up playing more games than I would usually have played them in. I also ended up paying more money for an AMR in the Jan transfer window than I would have liked but at least he is Barca standard player. Saying all that I was amazed at how well the tactic performed with the players I have. Villarreal are the best team in the league at the moment, which makes this season I feel an incredible success. I won La Liga easily, Copa Del Ray was a struggle but won that too. Lost 3-2 in CL Final to Villarreal, but in truth should have been at least 4 down by half time.
