didn't paisley just inherit shankleys team? he didn't have to build them up like clough had to do at forest

Also as pointed out before francis was only one of a couple of players which clough spent a signficient amount of money on, unlike liverpool

depends on if you are comparing success? or how a manager madeaclub

Was a tough decision to be honest, great choices JP. Ended up going with Clough, just becuase he built Harlepool,Derby and Notts Forrest up from nothing. Amazing achievments. Michels, as you said, for introducing total football. And Matt Busby....of course

How can you not have Sir Alex Ferguson?! Thats why I didn't vote.

Sorry I didn't see what you wrote about managers currently managing!

Is it me,or did you forget to add Herbert Chapman as a nominee.,mate? Let's not forget he revolutionised the game with the renown WM formation,as well as being the first manager to win the league with two different teams. But,out of those nominees,I'm with Clough. He's like a miracle maker, simply taking poor sides and turning them into fearsome teams that battle for major honours.Respect for the man, although few might argue that it was Peter Taylor who also had a gread contribution to Clough's achievements.
