I'm not getting as much feedback on the tactics posted as I'd hoped. Way less than on FM14 and probably my fault. I'm also a teeny bit glum that the forum just fills up with tiki taka, Guardiola specials and 4-3-3 so early (all tested with Real Madrid for 10 games, ofc).

Endless screenshots of evidently tampered tactics claiming to be good, when you can clearly see the 'edit' icon in the toolbar and 500m worth of players in the team is not for me. My favourite was last year when somebody posted a 'game breaking' tactic using Celtic with Messi and Ronaldo in his side......please!

So! Anyway! Because I'm a boring old fart and I love to talk about tactics and stuff more than purely winning everything, I intend to start a blog soon along the same lines of talking about historical tactics and post all of my stuff there. Of course feel free to use the stuff I leave here.

It's not so much I'm leaving here, but expanding somewhere else :)

If it's ok with the mods, I'll drop a link to my new place when it's up?

Meanwhile, all my tacs are available in the first post

edit:

And thanks for the likes everyone, genuinely made my day to think I might have made yours <3

my problem atm is I really don't like current ME, much like last year first patch. I enjoyed success with several tactics including the beautiful Brazil 1982 of yours, but the truth is every tactic I use I only score (or concede) on crosses or corner kicks/free kicks. Dont' have much desire to play the game atm, which reflects on feedback :P

hopefully you will keep sharing your awesome tactics and recreation, looking forward to see your blog!

Hello again.

I've been insanely busy recently so have yet to get the blog published. I've written tons of stuff but I want it to launch with a load of content so give me time ;)

Meanwhile, I've been chatting with Greebo who did the tactic here http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/share-download-fm-15-tactics/200820-fc-bayern-germany.html.

Turns out that even though he is new here, he's a FM veteran since the 90s and is a total football hipster (he won't mind me saying that) who is in to obscure tactics from Romanian teams I've never even heard of :D. So being two nerds together, we're gonna work jointly on some tactics to be posted here.

I'll still do my own blog thing once it's good enough but from now on, every tactic posted here will be a joint effort between me and him and as such he should receive equal or probably most of the credit.

Our first joint project will be, as requested by Andras99, the incredible Hungarian team of Puskas et al. So stay posted ;)

For information only.

We'll both test with Forest. He'll play with the editor and play a test season so he can tweak what works best without the pain of stupid injuries, having to get the team fluid, messing around with PPMs etc. He will absolutely not edit player attributes or import mega stars. This is just to 'fine tune' the tactics.

At the same time, I will run a full season without changing anything using the data he provides. I won't edit anything (apart from 3 player names because I can't play without having my 3 sons named in the team...I'm a soft old ******* ;) ). The results will be from my 'true' season.

Hello again.

Well I do have a beard. But only because I'm ****** lazy.

hope this works because it would be cool to do some stuff like this. It will take us at least a week to nail down exactly how to set the tactic up. I am tempted to play Puskas as a shadow/treq/dlf in a 3-2-3-2. Any thoughts would be very welcome

I'm always aiming for the classic Ipswich/Robson approach of triangles, pass, move, overlap...

Being very wedded to my 4-4-2, with a hard centre half accompanied by an accomplished ball player, flying wingers, crosses hurtling in, overlapping full-backs, tough man in midfield complete with late runs into the box, and the classic forward line, I do like the idea of a wonderful 70s recreation - oh, to have John Wark reincarnated on FM. Leeds or Holland both appeal, for different reasons. In the meantime, I'm going to see how much Ipswich fancy playing like 1970 Brazil for a while.

Personally I would like to see both the Liverpool Teams from their reign of dominance in the late 70's and the Barcelona Team under Rikjaard in there double winning season.

How is your testing going guys? Any progress?

Mine has gone to waste. Had to format my PC, and I forgot to backup my saves. I am so ****** about this, I haven't played in a month or so :'(.
