Jovetic transfer from Fiorentina to Barcelona delayed?
Barcelona do not currently have enough funds to complete the transfer of Stevan Jovetic from Fiorentina.
Barcelona have asked to delay the transfer for a week.
All the players i try to sell keep on snubbing the contract offers as they want way too much in terms of wages and so on. Finding it difficult to generate cash. A few youth players being offered contracts by teams. The compensation from their transfer might generate the million or so pounds i need.

Barcelona hammer Recreativo
R.C. Recreativo de Huelva S.A.D. 0 - 2 F.C. Barcelona (Friendly)
F.C. Barcelona enjoyed near total domination over a distinctly average R.C. Recreativo de Huelva S.A.D. side at Nuevo Colombino this evening.
Experienced winger Aitor showed a sign of things to come though as he nearly gifted Barcelona a goal on 5 minutes. Tireless midfielder Xavi gave Barcelona the lead with a fine header from point-blank range in the 23rd minute.
Enthusiastic midfielder Sergio Busquets completed the scoring for Barcelona with a curling shot from the edge of the area on 72 minutes.

Comfortable 2 - 0 win for Los Culés
Al-Ittihad (KSA) 0 - 2 F.C. Barcelona (Friendly)
F.C. Barcelona produced a good display this evening to see off the challenge of Al-Ittihad (KSA) at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium.
Enthusiastic midfielder Sergio Busquets gave Barcelona the lead with a powerful effort from the edge of the area in the 20th minute. Tireless midfielder Xavi completed the scoring for Barcelona with a screamer from the edge of the area on 37 minutes.

Márquez welcomes Arsenal bid
Rafael Márquez has openly expressed his delight that a bid from Arsenal has been accepted. The central defender declared that he had been angry to learn that he was not in Barcelona's first team plans and now couldn't wait to leave the club.

Hopefully he will accept their offer and get me the cash i need.

How much you getting for Marquez? :)

hes valued at 5.75. I offered him ot clubs for 9. Arsenal made the bid. so unless anyone else bids more i think its gonna be 9 mil. not bad. |)

All square at Camp Nou
F.C. Barcelona 1 - 1 Genoa (Friendly)
View attachment 48389
F.C. Barcelona were held to a draw by Genoa in a close-fought Friendly match played at Camp Nou. Enthusiastic midfielder Sergio Busquets got Barcelona off to a flyer by scoring a placed shot on 8 minutes. Experienced striker Hernán Crespo then equalised for Genoa after 10 minutes with a header.

Comfortable 3 - 0 win for Los Culés
K Sint-Truidense VV 0 - 3 F.C. Barcelona (Friendly)
F.C. Barcelona produced a good display this evening to see off the challenge of K Sint-Truidense VV at Stayen. Things did not get off to a good start for Sint-Truiden as midfielder Seydou Keita seized on an error by Sven Feyen to score a good header from just inside the six-yard box. Enthusiastic midfielder Sergio Busquets doubled Barcelona's lead with a thumping header on 26 minutes. The last goal of the game came from player Albrecht Krott whose 48th minute own-goal will undoubtedly cause him some embarrassment.

Liga BBVA title odds from Sky Bet
Barcelona and R. Madrid have been made 5-2 joint favourites to win the Liga BBVA title this season.
The rest of the main contenders are priced at: 6-1 - Sevilla, 10-1 - At. Madrid, 16-1 - Valencia and 16-1 - Villarreal.
As far as your team is concerned, the bookmakers believe that you definitely have the quality to mount a serious title challenge and that no matter what happens you will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season. The pre-season odds of 5-2 that they have given you reflect this.

Los Culés disappointing despite victory
Bunyodkor Toshkent 0 - 1 F.C. Barcelona (Friendly)
F.C. Barcelona could only manage a 1 - 0 victory over Bunyodkor Toshkent at MXSK this evening. Barcelona finally took the lead when full-back Eric Abidal scored a fine header from point-blank range on 41 minutes. Barcelona were often prevented from playing as they wanted to due to the number of fouls committed by their enthusiastic opponents.

Barcelona fail to make chances pay
Athletic Club 1 - 1 F.C. Barcelona (Supercopa)
F.C. Barcelona could count themselves highly unlucky to only draw in their Supercopa de España match at San Mamés. Barcelona finally took the lead when tireless midfielder Xavi scored a curling shot from the edge of the area on 64 minutes. Athletic's equaliser came through David López as he seized on Víctor Valdés' mistake to score a good header from just inside the six-yard box.

My first competitive match in charge of barca and a disappointing one at that. Bojan and Ibrahimovic both had to be substituted due to injuries and then Xavi got so tired that he had to be brought off as well. Iniesta comes back from injury in a week or so. Will then be able to play a more aggressive game.

Barcelona win Supercopa

Tireless midfielder Xavi gave Barcelona the lead with a powerful effort from the edge of the area in the 30th minute. It was a superb solo effort and Xavi looked delighted. Flamboyant striker Thierry Henry put the home side in front in the 105th minute with a real poacher's effort. An error from Carlos Gurpegi allowed Henry to score a placed shot. Xavi out for 3 months

Ricart advises you that unfortunately the only course of action for a damaged achilles tendon is for the player to see a specialist. It is likely that Xavi will be out for around 3 months whilst he is treated.

Gaudí hopes for positive performance
Antoni Gaudí appeared in an equivocal mood as he met journalists ahead of F.C. Barcelona's match against Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Super Cup.
A journalist from defensacentral.com chose the main focus point for the conference, asking, "Your confidence is admirable, especially when so many managers play down their chances. How do you think your attitude will affect your players?"
Gaudí's response was, "The team are prepared and ready to go out and win with confidence."

Los Culés meet expectations in dominant win

F.C. Barcelona fans celebrated an emphatic 4 - 0 win at Stade Louis II this evening. A brace from Zlatan Ibrahimovic helped Barcelona to victory.

Final Transfers:
Jovetic ended up costing a little more than expected. After the first agreement fell through to insufficient funds, Fiorentina just wouldn't agree for anything below 20 mil. Also two players to sign up at the end of the season. Verratti as shown previously and the other an regen.
The first time i have found a really good regen in the beginning of the first season. Loaded up the austrian and romanian league also so loads of regens showed up there. This guy got suggested during a backroom advise meating and i signed him up pronto.

There were no prizes for guessing who completed the rout on 41 minutes as that man Ibrahimovic popped up again with a placed shot.

Víctor Valdés out for a month
Óscar has reported that goalkeeper Víctor Valdés has sustained a back strain during a weights session in training.
The player will undergo a full assessment from the medical staff once he returns to the club but it currently looks as if he could be out for around a month.

With Xavi and Bojan out already and Iniesta just coming back from injury and severely lacking in match fitness we might be in for a few tough games.

Commanding centre-back Gerard Piqué managed to grab the consolation for Barcelona in the 90th minute with a close range header.

My first defeat with Barca. The absence of Xavi and Touré and with Iniesta still tired our midfield was strained and the absence of Valdes weakened our defence as well. Piqué played really well and put in another solid performance.

Mixed results this month. From defeats to huge wins over good opponents. Regular injuries are also a hindrance at this point. Also my tactics are not working well on a regular basis and still need to be tweaked. Will have to figure out a way to get the best out of Messi. He still hasnt scored in the league.

Not such a hard challenge, but it's a story nonetheless. Good luck.

Could we have a league table update please? :)

sure:D.

Not such a hard challenge, but it's a story nonetheless. Good luck.
thanks:)
I'm actually going to sell off Xavi, Henry, Puyol, Abidal and most of the older players at the end of this season or during the coming winter break. Ibra might go also as he will be 29 and normaly tend to sell off players past that point. Then I will try to rebuild the squad with young players. Might sell off Iniesta as well as he seems to get tired very fast and has to be substituted a little after half time in almost every match.

Next update will be tomorrow most probably. With the extra funds made available, i am thinking of bing a AMC. The injuries to Xavi and Iniesta made me realise that there isnt anyone else in the team to play in their roles. As I plan to sell off Xavi next season might try and get in Gourcuff or Fabregas(if he comes within the budget). Or might even go for Ramsey. Any suggestions?

Very nice carrier. I wish more luck to you! I also started a carrier with Barcelona, but i'm a Real Madrid supporter, but i just started a carrier with them. I see, you haven't got any problem with scoring. Can you tell me, what tactics do you use? If you tell me, I would be very grateful and sorry for the mistakes.

thanks mate. I have made a couple of tactics of my own and am still trying to improve them. The tactics are kind of inconsistent. Still trying to fix that. though if you want to score goals why dont you try the "goals galore' tactic thats available on this sate. or the "complete dominance one". they should get you goals. My tactics might not really be all that great as Barca have a very strong line up right now so even a decent tactic might work well. Will see how they work once i restructure the team next season.

Transfer Update: I have signed Gourcuff for £22M. Also am seriously contemplating transfer listing Xavi and Iniesta. Xavi is injured again and Iniesta is having serious fitness problems. How much would be decent prices for them?

good signing in jovetic mate but you could of got him cheaper in first season i usually get him for about 13 mil but ohwell he will proberly be worth the 20 mil for you anyway :D

I initially had an offer of £15M accepted but it got delayed and then cancelled due to insufficient funds. So after that Fiorentina just wouldnt let him go for less than 20. Still he's been amazing for me so far.
