Transfer Update

A small transfer update. Igor Akinfeev will be joining us in January. So now I have to decide whether to sell off Valdes in January or at the end of the season. Suggestions??
Also I am thinking of buying Aguero. Have to change my tactics to adjust to the new team structure and he will fit in well as an AMC or as a forward.

Another amazing month as we went undefeated, even though we played Madrid 3 times this month. Not only did we eliminate them to make it to the Copa del Rey final, by defeating them in the final game of the month we finally rose to 1st in the table. A slip by Zaragoza allowed us to take pole position for the first time this season. The 6-0 thrashing of Sevilla was also particularly pleasing. This was the 3rd time I have beaten them by more than 4 goals in 6 games:D.

2010-2011 Season Review

2010-2011 SEASON REVIEW

Ligga BBVA :
Expectation: 1st
Final Position: 2nd
A result I wouldn't have had any problem with at the start of the season but loosing out by just 1 point was very disappointing. But at least we are getting closer. From 3 points to 1.

UEFA Champions League
Expectaion: Finals
Final Position: Group Stage elimination.
I had not expected much in the champions league but such an early exit from the two times defending champions was just embarrassing. The fact that Madrid went on to win the competition was even worse.

Europa League
Expectation: Winner
Final Position: Winner
I thought we had a good chance of winning this but a couple of nail-bitters against Liverpool and than the thrilling final against Milan meant I enjoyed winning this as much as the Champions league.

UEFA Super Cup
Expectation: Winner
Final Position: Winner

Club World Cup
Expectation: Winner
Final Position: Winner

Copade Su Majestad El Rey Don Juan Carlos I
Expectaion: Not considered important by the board.
Final Position: Winner

KEY PLAYERS
After the first month or so the squad started to gel together and started playing well with each other. All the players contributed as I rotated them around as much as i could. Another positive was that I finally started to get really good performances from Messi as he came to his own in the second half of the season.
All three positions in the Spanish Young Player of the year were occupied by our players, with Jovetic coming in first.

Bosnia & Herzegovina

thanks. :D
I should have won more trophies this time considering how well the team played towards the end.but i had only a few players left from the original squad and most of the new players were young and inexperienced. that cost us at the end of the season. sitting at 15th after the first month and getting knocked out of the champions league at the group stages were testimonials to that. now that the players have started playing well together as a team i think we should win a lot more this time around. only planning to sell a couple of old (but important) players this time so the team should remain more or less same and performances shouldn't be affected so badly this time.

will post the next update after monday as i have a lot of work till then.
