The Mexican season is very unique in that it is split into two halves, I will update the Opening and Closing stages independently, With the group stage for the Copa MX in with the Opening stage. But before any of that my transfer dealings.

I have reshaped the entire squad, We currently have a first team, B team, C team, Under 20's and under 18's! So plenty of players to choose from sadly very few are of the standard required for the next league up.

OK Apparantley we have play offs now! As league leaders as automatically qualify for the semi final.

in the semi final we conspired to throw it all away, Losing 2-0 in the first leg. Only to turn on the style in the second leg and winning quite handily in the end.

I've just finished a season and i'm not sure I understand it. It hasn't actually told me i'm promoted i'm just assuming i am!

most of the south american leagues run in spilt seasons (open and close stages) the winner of each stage useally faces off against each other for the title plus promotion etc. if you win each section you normally take the title without the need for play off

Thats why I didn't have a play off then, i presume it's just a money thing?

On another note, i know Mexican sides can qualify for the copa libertadores. Does anyone know how i'd do that?

They qualify now according to wikipedia, Just not sure how. if I qualify for north american CL i cant go to libertadores

i believe it works on a place system in the league. like in the champions league and europa league in the prem. not sure which way round but top side will get into one and the next few sides go to the other.
