The run in starts now

BUNDESLIGA
Borussia Mönchengladbach 4-1 Hamburger SV

View attachment 100665
Caviccholi, Darsaila, Can, Lafon, Weigl (Jasmund 66), Galiardo, Bjarnason, Manzi, Emmerich, Biberoglu, Kuki

Hamburg arrived here full of confidence having ended the early part of the season well but they left with homework as we gave them a footballing lesson, ripping them apart at will

BUNDESLIGA
Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0 Borussia Mönchengladbach

View attachment 100664
Caviccholi, Darsaila, Can, Lafon, Weigl, Galiardo, Bjarnason, Manzi, Kuki (Emmerich 60), Biberoglu (Altenau 60), Battista

Our first defeat of the season and it comes against.... Frankfurt. I'm very disappointed as we had previously been 24 games unbeaten and to lose that record to Frankfurt is very annoying.

BUNDESLIGA
Borussia Mönchengladbach 0-0 VFB Stuttgart

View attachment 100663
Caviccholi, Darsaila, Armstrong, Lafon, Weigl, Galiardo, Manzi, Can (Chan 74), Kuki, Biberoglu, Battista (Emmerich 74)

How we failed to score, I'll never know, we created enough chances to win two games but just couldn't get the ball in the net

BUNDESLIGA
VfL Wolfsburg 1-0 Borussia Mönchengladbach

View attachment 100662
Caviccholi, Darsaila, Jalali, Lafon, Can (Chan 66), Galiardo, Manzi, Weigl, Kuki, Biberoglu, Battista (Emmerich 66)

The winter break really seems to have taken the wind out of our sails as we failed to get going against Wolfsburg and were punished for it

BUNDESLIGA
Borussia Mönchengladbach 0-0 Augsburg

View attachment 100661
Caviccholi, Darsaila, Jalali, Lafon, Can, Galiardo, Manzi, Weigl, Emmerich, Biberoglu, Battista (Kuki 67)

Augsburg are now my arch nemeses after what happened with Julian Boss and Torsten Becker at Ingolstadt so I'm just glad we didn't lose

BUNDESLIGA
FC Köln 1-3 Borussia Mönchengladbach

View attachment 100660
Caviccholi, Darsaila, Jalali, Lafon, Can, Galiardo, Bjarnason (Chan 62), Weigl, Bjarnason, Torin

Had it not been for the red card I don't think we would have won, we were 2-0 up at the time, that's worrying

Our stumble through February has given our rivals hope

Everyone has the odd blip, but even after a poor month your still 8 points clear with a much better GD.

We struggled last month, has the winter break taken the wind out of our sails?

DFB-POKAL THIRD ROUND
SV Darmstadt 2-4 Borussia Mönchengladbach

View attachment 100616
Caviccholi, Franz, Jalali, Lafon, Weigl, Galiardo, Bjarnason (Cantu 59), Can, Emmerich, Altenau, Battista

The third came very late for some reason but offered us a needed respite from league football as we trounced Darmstadt to head into the Quarter Final

DFB-POKAL QUARTER FINAL
Borussia Mönchengladbach 1-0 VfB Stuttgart

View attachment 100615
Caviccholi, Darsaila, Jalali, Lafon, Can, Galiardo, Manzi, Weigl, Fritsch (Emmerich 62), Biberoglu, Torin (Battista 62)

A very poor game that was decided very early on as Matteo Torin's goal was enough for us to squeeze past Stuttgart and into the semi final!

BUNDESLIGA
Werder Bremen 2-2 Borussia Mönchengladbach

View attachment 100614
Caviccholi, Darsaila, Jalali, Lafon, Can, Galiardo, Manzi, Weigl, Emmerich, Biberoglu, Torin (Battist 63)

*Sigh* Bremen are **** and we really should have stuck a few on them, we just couldn't create anything

BUNDESLIGA
Borussia Mönchengladbach 2-3 Bayer Leverkusen

View attachment 100613
Caviccholi, Darsaila, Jalali, Lafon, Can, Galiardo, Manzi (Chan 60), Weigl, Emmerch, Biberoglu, Torin

To take the lead twice and still lose is disgraceful but I could see it coming, the players aren't playing anywhere near their potential, is it fatigue, is it nerves? I have no idea.

BUNDESLIGA
Borussia Mönchengladbach 7-1 FC Nürnberg

View attachment 100612
Caviccholi, Darsaila, Jalali (Franz 62), Lafon, Weigl, Galiardo, Jasmund, Manzi, Fritsch, Biberoglu (Altenau 62), Torin (Battista 71)

That's more like it! Our best win of the season comes when we needed it most as we smash Nürnberg, our attacking players were excellent and finally showed some of their early season forma again

A fairly poor month last time out but the victory over Nürnberg showed some promise

BUNDESLIGA
FC Ingolstadt 3-1 Borussia Mönchengladbach

View attachment 100605
Caviccholi, Darsaila, Armstrong, Lafon, Can, Galiardo, Bjarnason (Manzi 73), Weigl, Fritsch, Biberoglu, Torin (Battista 73)

A not-so-happy return to a place that holds so many happy memories for me. We probably had the better of the game but Ingolstadt were just so clinical

BUNDESLIGA
Borussia Mönchengladbach 3-0 SC Freiburg

View attachment 100604
Caviccholi, Darsaila, Jalali, Lafon, Weigl, Galiardo, Bjarnason, Can (Manzi 63), Emmerich, Biberoglu (Kuki 63), Torin

A magnificent performance meant the game was over within 25 minutes, slightly disappointing we didn't get more

BUNDESLIGA
Red Bull Leipzig 1-2 Borussia Mönchengladbach

View attachment 100603
Cavicchooli (Bender 37), Darsaila, Jalali, Lafon, Weigl, Galiardo, Bjarnason, Can, Emmerich (Fritsch 64), Biberoglu, Torin (Battista 64)

GIULIANO BATTISTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The wonderkid came through when we needed him most as we secure a vital win away in Leipzig, this could be crucial come the end of the season

BUNDESLIGA
Borussia Mönchengladbach 5-0 Hertha Berlin

View attachment 100602
Bender, Darsaila, Jalali, Lafon, Weigl, Galiardo, Bjarnason, Can (Manzi 70), Emmerich (Fritsch 70), Biberoglu, Torin

Another big win as we smash Berlin. A truly dominant performance capped off by a fine result

DFB-POKAL
Borussia Mönchengladbach 4-1 Eintracht Frankfurt

View attachment 100601
Bender, Darsaila, Jalali, Lafon, Weigl, Galiardo, Bjarnason (Manzi 77), Can, Emmerich (Fritsch 77), Biberoglu, Torin

Berlin here we come! We absolutely crushed Frankfurt here to set up an Olympiastadion date with Hamburg

BUNDESLIGA
FC Schalke 3-0 Borussia Mönchengladbach

BUNDESLIGA
Borussia Mönchengladbach 5-1 Borussia Dortmund

View attachment 100582
Bender, Darsaila, Jalali (Franz 65), Lafon, Weigl, Galiardo, Bjarnason, Can, Emmerich, Biberoglu, Torin

WOW. A decent first half preceded a second half that will go down in Bundesliga history as we ripped league leaders and Borussen rivals Borussia Dortmund to shreds, tearing into their backline at will as we smashed 4 goals past them in 45 minutes. Amazing.

BUNDESLIGA
Hoffenheim 2-2 Borussia Mönchengladbach

View attachment 100581
Bender, Darsaila, Jalali, Lafon, Weigl, Galiardo, Bjarnason, Can, Emmerich (Fritsch 83), Biberoglu, Torin (Battista 45)

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE ******* KIDDING ME!?!?!?! WHAT JUST HAPPENED!?!?!?! Jonas Bjarnason's second effectively brought the title back to Mönchengladbach for the first time since the 70s, only for Hoffenheim to score two goals immediately from the kick off. Did my players just lie down? I effectively had the trophy in my hands but now its down to the final day against Munich. ****.

1st of July 2027

For many Americans the 4th of July is the biggest day of the summer, for me its the 1st of July, the day where the guys I signed before the transfer window kicked off join the lovely people here at Borussia Mönchengladbach. The majority of theese are young lads who are joining our very impressive looking youth team, I'm excited

BERND ESCHWALTRUP - HOFFENHEIM - €750,000
View attachment 100484
Hoffenheim cost me the title last season so I went and nicked their best youngster, Bernd is full of potential and will be playing for Germany before long, he's a very exciting prospect

THOMAS GOLEMIS - FC SCHALKE - FREE TRANSFER
View attachment 100483
Galiardo did an admirable job a wing back last season but I felt we needed an actual wing back this time around so we went out and got one. Nothing to write home about technically but his physical attributes are unbelievable

WILSON MOSQUERA - EMELEC - €500,000
View attachment 100482
He's got a bit of ability and a fair bit of potential, I like him

MICHAEL NEUMESITER - RED BULL SALZBURG - €2.8M
View attachment 100481
The next David Alaba? Neumeister is a potential superstar in the making and the fact we had to pay €2.8m for a 16 year old shows that. Still, in about 10 years time, this guy's gonna be worth €50m+

LUIZ RICARDO - GREMIO - €17.5M
View attachment 100480
Luiz Ricardo, the jewel in our pre-contract crown. He has 244 league games of experience under his belt having played for both Palmeiras and Gremio and has bagged 44 goals as well as 60 assists, he's also a permanent fixture in the Brazilian national team with 43 caps. He's a genuine world class player

GLADBACH SIGN WING DUO
View attachment 100453

Borussia Mönchengladbach have begun a reconstruction of their wide areas as they've brought in one right winger and one left winger, for the grand sum of.... nothing

The first player signed was Carlos Mendez, who joined the club from Club America in Mexico for nothing

Mendez, 25, agreed a deal with Gladbach back in January and has finally arrived at Borussia-Park, where he will play on the right wing

The Mexican international started his career at Club America, scoring 19 goals and grabbing 46 assists in 218 league appearances
View attachment 100452

The second player to come in was Louis Mbayo, who's joined Mönchengladbach following the expiration of his contract with FC Köln

Mbayo, 22, has 2 Germany caps and made 149 first team league appearances for Köln, scoring 28 goals and bagging 31 assists

Gutted for you mate was sure the title was in the bag, at least you have 1 trophy to show for it. Next year!
