Well last season was exciting, I changed clubs, won a cup and I've swapped beautiful Wiltshire for the charming Lancashire. At least houses are cheaper.
We were ok last season, I picked up a few points but the squad just wasn't good enough and a whole host of players needed moving on like Dayle Southwell. What a waster, on about 2 grand a week and contributing nothing. Leave my sight and get a proper first name.
So we sold him and a couple of others hat I didn't really care about. The important sales were Micah Hamilton (£475,000 to Ross County), Aled Derrick (£400,000 to Portsmouth) and Luke Conlan (£135,000 to Larne). That's our first choice left wing, left back and keeper all gone. We needed replacements..
And replace them we did.
CASEY O'DONNELL - YORK CITY - £100,000
The best youngster outside the Football League and just a snip at £100,000 compared to what we brought in in sales. Just 17 and a promotion campaign already under his belt
SIMON STANSFIELD - TNS - £12,500
We went to Wales to bring in this chap, stealing in ahead of Football League clubs to make him our first choice winger
ELIJAH BOXHILL - TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR - FREE TRANSFER
He's an international!
Paul Mitchell - Manchester City - Free Transfer
He isn't. Boo.
SAMUEL OKONKWO - CHELSEA - FREE TRANSFER

DREN MIFTARI - ARSENAL - FREE TRANSFER
I was miffed with this one, get it, eh? I'll get my coat
MARCUS OKONKWO - MANCHESTER UNITED - FREE TRANSFER
Are you Sam's brother? Probably not
JAKE WESTWOOD - AFC BOURNEMOUTH - FREE TRANSFER
Free transfer Cameron Archer bagged 20 goals last season, but he's injured so we signed Jake
GIOVANNI McGREGOR - DULWICH HAMLET - FREE TRANSFER
What. A. Name.
OWEN BECK - LIVERPOOL - FREE TRANSFER
Needed a left back after Conlan went, Owen's good
MARC LEONARD - HEART OF MIDLOTHIAN - FREE TRANSFER
We desperately needed a proper attacking midfielder last season
CJ EGAN-RILEY - MANCHESTER CITY - FREE TRANSFER
A brilliant addition on the right
ARNAU PUIGMAL - MANCHESTER UNITED - FREE TRANSFER

PLAYER OF THE MONTH Fatai Sani
I just think he's neat
Job Offers I've had a whole host of interview offers despite not applying for any, I'm in demand!
I told Southend to do one, the reason is I've been there
AFC Fylde ended 2023 with a drab draw with Aldershot that has seen them extend their marvellous unbeaten run to 20 games in all competitions
The Coasters were going through the motions against Aldershot and left Hampshire with a solitary point which has still left them top of the tree heading into the new year
It ends a successful December which has seen them progress into the FA Trophy Fourth Round following a victory over Chesterfield as well as progressing into the FA Cup Third Round for only the second time in the club's history following a 4-1 win over Bromley in a replay
Fylde will face local rivals Blackpool for a chance to reach the fourth round for the first time ever
They haven't let up in the league, recording 3 victories and 3 draws, beating Chippenham, Boreham Wood and Darlington to go 14 points clear tat the top of the table
This has seen their manager linked with Football League clubs, with Hawkins interviewing at Preston North End, Blackburn Rovers, Exeter City and Peterborough United
Reportedly it is Hawkins' intention to remain at Fylde for the rest of the season and re assess his options in the summer
Fulton, Burke, Musonda, Carter, Beck, Leonard, O'Donnell, Puigmal, M.Okonkwo, Stansfield, Archer A few of the second string got some minutes and we still got a win, lovely

Fylde have reached their second consecutive FA Trophy final with a 4-0 aggregate win against Sutton United
Wingers Fatai Sani and Simon Stansfield got the goals in a 3-0 away win as Fylde continue their relentless campaign
The semi final victory caps yet another brilliant month for Fylde, as they won all of 9 games in March in both league and cup to leave them on the cusp of a marvellous double
Their 3-2 defeat of Dartford in the FA Trophy kicked off the month and it was followed by 8 more wins, as Yeovil (3-1), Eastleigh (1-0), Sutton (4-0, 1-0, 3-0), Hartlepool (3-0), Wealdstone (3-0) and Tranmere (3-0) were all put to the sword
This marvellous run leaves them just inches from a richly deserved Vanarama National title and a spot in the Football League
York City 1 Sharman (89) AFC Fylde 1 Puigmal (24) AFC Fylde win 9-8 on penalties
Vanarama National champions AFC Fylde retained the FA Trophy in dramatic fashion, overcoming York City in a nail biting penalty shootout to win their 3rd FA Trophy in 5 years
Fylde dominated from the off and scored after 24 minutes, with the fantastic Arnau Puigmal continuing his fantastic form
Fylde kept pushing but a 2nd just wouldn't come despite an incredible 28 shots and 23 corners!
Yor punished their impotency, striking late to force extra time and eventually penalties
A pulsating affair was decided in strange fashion as 16 penalties in a row were converted at Wembley, only for York's Joshua King to slip up, allowing Marc Leonard to win the trophy for Fylde
All I can really say is, what a season. FA Trophy winners, 106 points, record breakers. Easily the best season in the club's season with players far too good for this level excelling to an absolutely ridiculous degree. Arnau Puigmal, Fatai Sani, Casey O'Donnell. Fylde won't see the likes again
Beautiful.
We dominated from start to finish and never looked like we were sticking around in this division, it was p*ss easy to be honest, everyone else was sh*t. It did help that our players were so much better than everyone else's, Sani made everyone feel inferior, O'Donnell emasculated everyone in midfield and Puigmal shagged everyone's wife.
Just absurd.
Arnau Puigmal is so so so so good. 23 goals FROM MIDFIELD. Obscene.
It did help that they had the best manager in this division, just look at that sexy face. I've kept up the side gig as a stripper and it really does show in my opinion, there's some proper mutants managing the other sides.
One problem. My contract's up this summer. You'd think it would be a simple decision because this team is good enough to win League One never mind League Two. But apparently there's a salary cap. A salary cap we're already paying above so this team is getting dismantled at least a little. So I'm off, good luck lads.
I've already had a couple of interviews, including one in West London...
Matthew Hawkins, our new manager, Qualified Charlatan
What the **** are we doing?? This club has made some ****** silly decisions in the past but this one tops the lot! Bringing this clown to our historic club is truly the final straw
Now I shan't mention our new manager's somewhat chequered past as that is unbecoming of the fans of such a magnificent club as ours, however the "Duck Incident" as it has become known during his spell at Chippenham does stick in the mind
Nor do I blame him for taking the jo, this chancer can't believe his luck! I understand he did well at Chippenham and Fylde, but surely spells at provincial non league clubs isn't enough to secure a job at a Championship club who've only just been relegated from the top flight?
I also understand that he's been interviewed by clubs at this level, but surely he must prove himself somewhere else before taking on such a role? I honestly can't believe we've given him the job! So he won the FA Trophy and he dominated a semi pro league with Fylde, well blow me down! I'm sure I could have won the league considering the players he had at his disposal (I note Arnau Puigmal has just joined Birmingham City for £400,000)
By all accounts we're giving this man, who it must be restated has only managed CHIPPENHAM AND FYLDE, £88m to spend to get us back into the Premier League, the Isthmian Premier League is more likely! As soon as his name was thrown into the ring I despaired and once he raced to 3-1 in the bookmakers I felt like ripping up my season card for merely considering him as an option
This week will be looked back upon in years to come as the moment which sent Fulham on a downward spiral from which it may not recover. Mark my words.
I can't actually believe they hired me. I applied for the job purely because I'd had interviews with Championship clubs before and though it would be a laugh and a "thanks but no thanks" but they only went and offered me the job! I'm at Fulham! Not some poxy club like Exeter or Dunfermline, Fulham!
And this lot have cash to burn, £88m transfer budget and over £1m in wages is frankly a ridiculous amount of money to entrust with a chancer like me but I'll take it, as well as the wonderful £14,000 weekly wage, I was only on a grand at Fylde! I'll never have to strip again!
And boy did I need it, this is a pricey place to live, not that I'll be here long..
Fulham have had an up an down recent history, promoted under Parker in 2019/20 they finished 5th the next season only to be relegated in 2021/22, back up the next season and then rock bottom last season. Rollercoaster.
They also have tons of money
And one **** of a squad
Some of those players are top quality, Kieron Bowie has a load of interest, McKenna will dominate in defence and Gibbs-White is an underappreciated hero
Rui Vassalo, arguably our best player, is out on loan ffs
They've given me £88m to get this lot in the playoffs, I didn't spend ALL of it...
First up, the traitors, the ones that left our beautiful project. A few first teamers were amongst this lot. I can't stand Anthony Knockaert so he had to go, Evjen's deal was sorted before I arrived whilst Manquillo is too old and too bad at football for me. Rajkovic is a bit of a shame, but he started the season dreadfully and I wasn't turning down £25m for him. Scott McKenna is a real disappointment, I wanted to build the defence around him, but he threw a hissy fit about playing at a higher level so left and joined Watford... in the Championship. Nice one genius.
These are the good boys, the ones that joined our glorious revolution, lets meet them
GEORGE McEACHRAN - CHELSEA - FREE TRANSFER
This side was absolutely devoid of midfield talent, which is probably why they went down. George is a cheap backup.
KEANE LEWIS-POTTER - HULL CITY - £13m
A snip at £13m in my view, I was quoted more for worse players, just 23 and already has almost 200 Football League appearances and got 14 goals for Hull last season
ROBERT JACUBIAK - LECH POZNAN - £3.9m
We desperately needed a striker and young Rob fills the gap
Rajkovic, Bogle (Cockbill 71), Chambers, Smith, Pedrosa, Stone, Gibbs-White, McEachran, Bowie (Costa 61), Lewis-Potter, Jakubiak Just minutes from an opening day win
SKY BET CHAMPIONSHIP Derby County 2-4 Fulham

SKY BET CHAMPIONSHIP Birmingham City 4-5 Fulham
Rajkovic, Bogle, Chambers, Smith, Pedrosa, McEachran (Stone 64), Gibbs-White, Wojnar, Bowie, Lewis-Potter, Jakubiak A lot of fun, but not good for the heart
SKY BET CHAMPIONSHIP Fulham 2-0 Barnsley
