More deals confirmed at the San Paolo

A
complicated exchange deal has been confirmed as Napoli's last signing 'Other then a young french left back'. The club have announced the purchase of the co-owned player Jorginho. He has then immediately been swapped with Hachim Mastour of AC Milan, in what may be seen as a strange move, swapping a proven central midfielder for an unproven 16 year old. Gus, however seems confident saying "Jorginho was unlikely to play, and we have way too many central midfielders. Mastour will be one of the best in the world in 5,6 years."

Milan in major upheaval!

Business time at the San Siro
In a press conference called at the San Siro today, new owner Paolo Maldini announced major changes in the first team squad. The following players were announced to be leaving the Rossoneri:

View attachment 282478 View attachment 282477 View attachment 282476 View attachment 282475 View attachment 282474 View attachment 282473

Andrea Poli - Atalanta: Central Midfielder Poli joins Atalanta in a permanent deal, thought to be around £4M. Poli was deemed unlikely to get much playing time this season but will surely be a great player for Atalanta.

Daniele Bonera - Atalanta: Right back Bonera was also sold to Atalanta in a permanent deal. Bonera's contract was about to expire, and he was not deemed good enough for the first team squad.

Philippe Mexes - Atalanta: In, incredibly, the third deal involving Atalanta, central defender Mexes has joined them on loan for the remainder of the season. Maldini was stated to be delighted with removing Mexes from the wage bill.

Hachim Mastour - Napoli: The most shocking move of the day was when Maldini announced that Milan have let their most promising youngster go to a rival like Napoli. A flurry of questions as to what the circumstances around the transfer lead to Maldini having to shed light on what had caused this deal to be felt needed:
Ever since an incident earlier in the summer involving Hachim, two other youth players, and a bacon sandwich, Hachim had become completely reluctant to train with the squad. In meetings with me, all he would say was "Dirka Dirka Lazio Jihad, Dirka Dirka Bacon Jihad". We contacted Lazio owner about this, but his only answer was "Dirka Dirka Contract release jihad. So when Napoli declared an interest, we saw no other choice than to accept the trade. I would strongly suggest to the Napoli owner that he keeps an eye on the movement of the young boy, as the influence of the Lazio owner may cause major problems in the future.

Michael Essien - Cagliari: Essien joins Cagliari on loan for the rest of the season. Maldini stated that he would probably struggle to get into the first team, and that this was a deal that benefitted both parts.

Pablo Armero - Udinese: Maldini has also elected to terminate the loan deal of Armero, sending him back to Udinese. Media speculate that this means Milan will be in the market for a left back.

Maldini ended the press conference stating that they will hold a new press conference later today to announce several new signings.

Gus slams Dirka dirking

Gus Bruce, Napoli chairman has called Sheikh Dirka Dirka's 'dirking' in his affairs 'unacceptable.' After the distribution of an alleged bomb inside a Bacon sandwich, for the fourth time in 3 months Bruce slammed Dirka for his alleged involvement. He said that his Cult of The Dirka was 'dangerous' and posed a huge threat to 'Bacon lovers everywhere.' More on this story later....
[Translation to Dirka: Gus dirk dirk dirk dirka dirka dirking, unacceptable dirk, bomb jihad bacon dirk dirk dangerous bacon dirk.]

Roma Struggle For Goals!

Roma have had a terrible start to the new life with new chairman Kanye West. With 5 games in the Serie A, Roma are sitting 11th with only 5 points! A unlucky position for the team and which they would hope to start improving as soon as possible. The club has only scored 5 goals in 5 games which manager and chairman both aren't happy about.

Roma(Balde Keita 18,89 Gervinho 52) vs Verona
First game was against Verona with a great 3-0 win with Balde Keita pulling out a MOM performance with 1 assist and 2 goals to his name on his debut. Both new signings Thiago Motta and Alex Sandro seemed to have awful games on their debuts which annoyed Kanye due to his time and effort bringing both players to Italy.

Roma have been drawn a fairly even group in the Champion's Cup with the likes of Chelsea, Schalke and CSKA Moscow. Kanye believes his team can qualify through the group stages but will have to play well against all teams including Chelsea to require the points needed.

Schalke vs Roma
Roma had lacked class and style during this 0-0 draw in their first game again german side Schalke. The game was a game to forget for the fans as they couldn't turn possession into something good with only taking 3 shots the whole game compared to the 13 shots Schalke had. Roma had 0 shots on target to add to the misery! Fans alike soon started to talk about the lacking strike force captain Totti and Doumbia hold.

Inter vs Roma
This was another bore 0-0 draw but this time in the league against a very strong Inter side. Roma got 6 shots off this time and finally got 3 shots on target but Inter still looked the better side throughout the game and Roma fans we're happy to walk away with a point. Doumbia started up top again and will want to put another bad game behind him with misses 2 clear cut chances to add to his poor start at the club.

Roma vs Juventus(Tevez 39 Llorente 46)
Juventus strike force put away the chances they had on the night walking away with all 3 points when Roma fell defeat in a 0-2 loss in Rome. Alex Sandro had another howler of a game which seems to seems to have become a bit of a habit since joining Roma. The game was riddled with fouls with Roma notching up an amazing 25 fouls! With 2 shots on target again and another 2 clear cut chances missed, Kanye started to get furious with the strikers and says he will be looking to improve in the winter transfer window.

Udinese(Geijo 26 Di Natale 41) vs Roma(Keita pen 23, 70)
In a very even game again Udinese the score was split both ways with a 2-2 draw. Alex Sandro put in yet another woeful performance for his new side with a 6.3 rating but it was the attackers who took the glory with Balde Keita getting another brace and taking the MOM title to add to the mantle piece. Doumbia must of heard Kanye's comments last match as he stepped up his game against Udinese pulling in a 7.4 rating and bringing in an assist but still no goals!

All in all was a terrible start to the season with the new signings not pulling the weight that they should be and the strike force not putting away chances which would change the game. With the likes of Gervinho which was just broken his leg gives the chance to highly rated Iturbe to step up and take control and help improve the clubs league position. Castan and Spolli are injured which set Roma back in the central defence department but on the bright side, Strootman will be returning to fitness the next week and hoping to hit the ground running again.

Kanye and Garcia are hoping to change it around next month and hoping to get 10 points out of a possible 15 and hoping at least 3 points against Chelsea and CSKA Moscow.

Milan finalize squad for the season!

Milan complete six signings to finalize this seasons squad.

In a press conference today, A.C. Milan revealed six new signings to take the team forward. All signings are young players who are yet to reach their full potential. This is a marked change in the transfer policy of a team that has been known to sign established players in former years.

The signed players are:
View attachment 282187 View attachment 282185 View attachment 282184 View attachment 282183 View attachment 282182 View attachment 282181

José Gayà, Left Back - Valencia: Gaya has been dubbed the next Jordi Alba, and with good reason. He is quick, technical and has a great left foot. At only 19 he has time to improve, and will make the left back his own, even as early as this season.

André Gomes, Central Midfield - Valencia: Another import from Valencia is young talented playmaker André Gomes. Gomes made his breakthrough for Benfica and a big move was always on the cards for him. He is only 20, but has already been capped for Portugal and has a bright future ahead of him.

Jorginho, Central Midfield - Napoli: Forming a young creative duo with Gomes will be Brazilian Jorginho. He joins from Napoli in a trade with radicalized young bacon-terror Hachim Mastour. A complete midfielder with good stamina, tackling and passing, Jorginho will be a balancing player in the middle.

Vincent Aboubakar, Striker - FC Porto:
Aboubakar has been signed as the striker of the future for Milan. He is very athletic, and has also got great finishing ability. Porto fans must be shaking their heads at allowing this gem of a player be sold for what can only be described as a silly sum.

Sergio Dìaz, Striker - Cerro Porteño: At only 16 years of age, the young Paraguayan Diaz is one to watch for the future. He has already got a big star in the local league in Paraguay, and will be keen to show what he is capable of in the years to come, under the leadership of the coaches of the Milan Academy.

Arianit Ferati, Attacking Midfield - Stuttgart:
Another 16 year old talent joins us from the talent factory that is Stuttgart. Ferati is an exceptionally gifted player technically that will surely play his part in making sure the Milan faithful do not miss Hachim Mastour too much. He is a left footed attacking midfielder that can play in the middle as well as on the flanks. He is already a regular for the Germany u18's and has been dubbed very similar to Juan Mata in style of play.

Milan announce the departure of Ignazio Abate.
Milan also used the press conference to announce the sale of Ignazio Abate to PSG for a sum thought to be around £2.5M, with a possibility to rise to £4.5M due to a number of clauses. Abate was in the last year of his contract, and had stated that he had no intention of re-signing, so Paolo Maldini admitted he felt forced to sell Abate before the transfer window shut. Sceptics now claim that Milan look very light at right back should Matteo Di Sciglio pick up an injury, with only Christian Zaccardo as a possible replacement.

Napoli September update
Dnipro 2 - Napoli 1
Gama, Konoplankya - Gabbiadini
A bad start. A 2-1 loss to the likes of Dnipro, even in the Champions League should've been an awakening to the players. Unfortunately, it wasn't.
Napoli 2 - Dnipro 1
Zuniga, Callejon - Gama
(6-5p to them
We just scraped this one on penalties. Relying on a goal from Camilo Zuniga just to get this far, we lost 6 - 5 on pens.
Napoli 1 - Milan 1
Callejon - Aboukabar
Jose Callejon's early goal helped us get a draw here, in a match dominated by Milan. Our strikers were awful (no Icardi???) and it was transfer target Aboukabar who punished us. I've noticed a theme beginning to develop - scoring early, and then conceding late.
Torino 2 - Napoli 1
Glik, Molinaro - Eto'o
Torino were far the better side. We only had 3 shots on target - they had 7 (with 1 more shot overall then us). It's good to see Eto'o getting off the mark... and then he got an injury putting him out for 3 months.
Napoli 1 - Wolfsburg 2
Gabbiadini - Bendtner x2
Lord Bendtner put us to the sword here. In a home match as well, we really should be expected to win.
Napoli 3 - Sassuolo 1
Hamsik, Gabbiadini, Zapata - Maganelli
Our first win of the season, thanks to a trio of late goals. We had all the possession, and eventually it seems decided to do something useful with it.
Parma 2 - Napoli 1
Mendes, Ghezzal - Callejon
The latest in a string of 2-1 defeats. We dominated the possession, but unlike in the Sassuolo game failed to do anything with it - with only 2 shots on target.

Napoli 2 - Fiorentina 1
Digne, Icardi - Gilardino
Our home form has been far better then our away form, with us not losing in the league at home. A good win, if against a struggling side, and Icardi got off the mark. The most worrying thing here is the goalscorers - Icardi has failed to start a game, and Digne... if we're relying on a left back for goals, things might get bad.

Summary
Extremely poor. We dropped points all over the place, lost to teams we have to be winning against. However, most concerning was the fact Villas-Boas seems to be insane. He has started literally everyone other then Icardi - who finally got a goal - for no apparent reason. No matter their form, it seems as though everyone starts over Icardi... who is our best striker. Not only that, he seems to be playing Dries Mertens over Lorenzo Insigne. Mertens has done nothing at all to justify this so far. He will be facing the sack if we can't improve. He also sold Raul Albiol. Our best defender. To Tottenham. For 7 million. Shitttttttt.
Player of the Month
Jose Callejon
View attachment 282179
This was a very hard decision... for all the wrong reasons. He's been our top goalscorer.... with 2 in the league. All in all, his average rating has been consistent, and he's bagged 2 assists as well.
Worst player (manager) of the month
Andre-Villas Boas
View attachment 282178
This was a hard one to chose, with so many bad performers. However, it has to go to Andre Villas Boas, with his ridiculous and illogical team selection.
Next month we face a in form Cagliari, an out of form Roma, a easily winnable Partizan and bottom of the league Verona, among others.

View attachment 282056

Gianluca Vialli has expressed his delight at Cagliari's astonishing start to the season.

"To sit top of the league after 5 games is an amazing start to my time here at the club. The goals of Marco Sau and the form of Samuele Longo have been particularly pleasing. With only 1 summer signing the squad are very settled and I believe this can be a successful season for the club. Our main aim is to avoid relegation as it should be at the start of every season, but in reality we take it one game at a time and who knows where we might end up..."

Milan in stuttering start

View attachment 281701
AC Milan make decent start to the season.

With 5 games played, Milan are in 6th with 8 points. Not a horrible start, but not great. The media already speculate if Guus Hiddink's style of play will be efficient in the Serie A, as the Rossoneri are yet to find their stride.

View attachment 281699 Napoli - Milan: 1-1

In the first game, we faced off against one of our main rivals in Napoli. It was a hard fought battle, where we dominated possession. But an early Callejon-goal gave Napoli what they needed to hold out for a draw. A promising start, with a pleasing debut goal from Aboubakar and pleasing performances from Menez, El Shaarawy and Jorginho.

View attachment 281697Milan - Atalanta: 3-0

In our second game we faced Atalanta at home. In a game we dominated from start to finish, we ended up clear winners. Jorginho dominated the play from the centre of the pitch, and was named man of the match after getting his first goal for the club. Bonaventura and El Shaarawy got the other two goals.

View attachment 281696 Empoli - Milan: 0-1

Our third game was a tough battle against Empoli. In a game where no team really managed to play well, we managed to grab the win through a great finish from Mattia Destro. We suffered two injuries to our two new central midfielders André Gomes and Jorginho, which we would pay for in the coming games. The pleasing aspect was a fantastic performance from left back José Gayà, picking up the man of the match.

View attachment 281695 Milan - Lazio: 0-0

We started the game with Bonaventura and Honda in the centre of the park, due to the injuries in the last game. Both are capable players, but we didn't manage to win the battles that were needed to dominate the game. A reckless challenge from Destro in the 42nd minute saw us down to 10 men. We still managed to be on par with Lazio, but a draw was a fair result. Our teenager Gayà put in another man of the match performance here, and is turning into quite the fan favourite.

View attachment 281693 Sampdoria - Milan: 1-0

We faced off against high-flying Sampdoria in the final game of the month. We were still missing a couple of players and the likes of Muntari were given a chance to impress. However, we were simply not up for the fight in this game. As seen by the yellow cards, Sampdoria simply wanted it more. And in an even game, they edged it 1-0 due to a goal from teenage wonder Tielemans. Despite the loss, there were pleasing performances by Gayà, Rami and André Gomes.

So, 2 wins, 2 draws and one loss. Not the end of the world, but not great. Our draws have been against good opponents. But our loss to Sampdoria hurts, despite them being 2nd. Hiddink has made a couple of strange choices in selection that I hope he will change in the future. Starting Aboubakar against Napoli, where he scored, only to bench him for the following three games, seems a bit strange to me. But who knows what the future brings!

Wake me up when September ends...

Mauro Camoranesi was very calm when asked about his club's start of the season, that sees them bottom of the league after 5 games, picking up a meagre 2 points.

Camoranesi said that in context, his side hadn't performed badly. The first 5 games have seen Verona lose to Cagliari, Roma and Genoa and draw to Palermo and Inter Milan. The important thing is confidence going forward.

"Look, we have played the league leaders Cagliari, a great side in Roma, and have taken a point from the Giuseppe Meazza! The team has the quality to bounce back, and I'm certain they will. There are many clubs who would have a similar point return to us given our opening fixtures. We lost our first three but have picked up two points in our last two, both away from home."

“We've been unlucky to lose our star buy, Jean-Paul Boëtius to injury after he scored on his debut (3-1 win in Italian Cup 3rd Qualifying round over Frosinone) but that is football. Hopefully Mandorlini can turn it around, I have faith in him.”

Camoranesi has given Mandorlini the dreaded "vote of confidence"; it will be interesting to see if he can survive October, with tough opposition in Juventus (H), Udinese (A), Cesena (H) and Napoli (A) to come. Verona would be lucky to get more than four points out of that run of fixtures, but if Mandorlini can't at least inspire the players to play with 100% commitment to his methods, then his long managerial spell (for Italian football at least) may be coming to an end.

Solid Opening Month for Juventus

The new Serie A season has started off quite well for Juventus. They sit second in the table on 12 points after 5 games. They managed to pick up impressive wins over Parma, Fiorentina and Roma (4-0, 3-0 and 2-0 respectively, as well as a 2-1 win over Genoa. The only disappointment was the 1-0 loss against in form, and current top of the league, Cagliari.

Juventus also managed a good start to the Champions League with a 5-0 battering of Athletic at home. The other two teams in Group G are Bayern Munich and Dnipro. The match up between Bayern and Juventus in the next champions league game promises to be an exciting one.

Player of the Month
Carlos Tevez- Picking up 5 goals and 2 assists in the first month, Tevez has by far been the best player this month.

(Extremely sorry for the short post, lack of pictures and such. I am quite busy, but with the next update coming out tomorrow I wanted to get this done :))

Former Udinese Favourite takes over
Breaking news from Italy is that former Udinese player Got a question about being Udinese, am I allowed to transfer whoever I want from Watford and Granada like IRL for free? Vincenzo Iaquinta has taken over the reigns at the club. This is what he had to say:

"After playing for the club for a number of years I was delighted to be offered the chance to run the club, especially after the unbeaten start they have made to the season. I will look to steer this club in the right direction and look after young talents such as Simone Scuffet. I want this club to be upthere with the other club who play in black and white stripes in the league (Juventus) and eventually take over them."

Reports are coming in that current players like Legend Antonio Di Natale are delighted with Vincenzo's decision to take over the club and are confident that the former Italy internation will take them to the next level

Sassuolo-Calcio.png

Stuttering Sassuolo!

It has been a mixed start for Italian club Sassuolo in their opening season campaign so far. The season started with a 3rd qualifying round cup win to Serie B side Latina. The goalscorer being Missirolli in the 1-0 win. It was a strong performance from the home side and they rightly booked their place in the next round. Following on from that, the club began their Serie A season with a game to Udinese which ended in a 1-1 draw. The game was tight all the way through however Sassuolo took the lead in the 53rd minute through a Simone Zaza goal. Yet, Udinese equalised just 9 minutes later through Thomas Heaurteux. After that for Sassuolo was a disappointing defeat to Cesena, a newly promoted side to the Serie A. The visitors were comfortably throughout the game and thoroughly deserved the points. El Hammadoui and Djuric goals were just about enough to get them through as Sassuolo couldn't add to a Simone Zaza goal. Next for Sassuolo was a tough trip to Naples and Napoli. Not expecting much from the game, Sassuolo went onto lose 3-1. Napoli goals coming from Hamsik, Gabbiadini and Zapata, whereas midfielder Francesco Maganelli scored for Sassuolo. A late goal denied Sassuolo the three points at Atalanta after a 86th minute goal from Panilla cancelled out a earlier goal from none other than Paolo Cannevaro. Finally Sassuolo earned a much needed first victory of their campaign to Serie A minnows Empoli where Simone Zaza scored his third of the season to earn the visitors the three points.

CLUBANTICO.jpg

Genoa:

What a fine start to the season it has been. We came into the first game against Roma with Enthusiasm and the boys delivered with a cracking 2-0 win. We also grabbed points with a 2-2 draw against Palermo and a 3-2 win against Hellas Verona. We fell late with two defeats against Inter and Juventus.

We currently sit in 10th which is where I would have hoped to be at the end of the season. Hopefully we can continue with our form.

Player of the month: Marco Borriello in 6 appearances he grabbed 3 goals and an assist.

Milan finding their feet

View attachment 280438
Milan 4th at the end of November.
A.C. Milan are starting to find their feet under Guus Hiddink. At the end of November, we lay 4th, only 2 points behind Juventus and Sampdoria, and even with 3rd placed Torino, who have played one more game than us. 5 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss in October and November puts us in a good position heading into December, and the winter break.

View attachment 280437Game 1: Milan - Chievo 2-0
In our first game after the bitter loss away to Sampdoria, we faced a struggling Chievo side. However, they did put up a fight, and created several good chances. But thanks to a good game from Diego Lopez, and goals from Adil Rami and Vincent Aboubakar, we took our first 3 points of October. It was nice to see Hiddink's style starting to set in, as we dominated possession 61% to 39%.

View attachment 280435Game 2: Milan - Palermo 4-0
We headed into another home game against under-performing Palermo. We took full advantage of their poor form and after a show in striking class, with Aboubakar and Pazzini both netting two, we came out clear winners. Pazzini came on for a struggling André Gomes after only 6 minutes, and scored 30 seconds later. Add another 5 minutes, and Pazzini got his second. A great start to his season, where he may be forced to accept the role as super-sub.

View attachment 280433Game 3: Torino - Milan 3-1
We headed into this game in high spirits, but were aware that Torino are having a great season and are very hard to beat. Even though we had hoped to come away with all 3 points, Torino gave us a lesson in taking your chances, as they scored 3 from only 4 shots on target. Diego Lopez had a shocker, giving away two goals. Brazilian teenager Kenedy scored a brace, as an El Shaarawy goal was our only consolation. We also had De Sciglio carried off with an injury after 10 minutes. This shows that football can be cruel, but we've got to get our heads down, and keep working, as we're not quite there yet, in terms of quality of play.

View attachment 280432Game 4: Milan - Sassuolo 1-0
We needed to get back to winning ways, and that is just what we did against mid-table Sassuolo. With Abbiati still having nightmares about teenager Berardi, we were relieved that we did not have to face him after the transfer-chaos that saw him loaned to Fiorentina in pre-season. The game itself was fairly uneventful. An early Aboubakar goal saw us take a deserved win, but we did nothing to impress the less than half-full San Siro.
We have really struggled to bring a crowd to matches, as the public keep flocking away from the Serie A. I guess the only way to help it is by winning matches at home, which we keep doing.

View attachment 280431Game 5: Parma - Milan 1-1
Parma are in dire trouble. Bottom of the table, points withdrawn, and in economic administration due to catastrophic running of the club. Everything should point to one of the best chances to pick up 3 points away that we've had this season. So what do we do? We produce our absolute worst display of the season. Despite picking up a point, this was a horrible performance. We produced 1 shot on target for the whole game. Luckily that chance fell to super-sub Pazzini who gave us an undeserved point. Parma should have gotten all 3. Much improvement needed. Muntari got his first chance of the season and gave a typical performance: Yellow carded for a horrible tackle after 24 minutes. Tore his hamstring after 43 minutes. He is out for 2-3 months. (Lucky for our disciplinary record!)

View attachment 280430Game 6: Milan - Fiorentina 2-0
The games against Viola are never dull, and always seem to surprise. The surprise in this game was that Montella's technical, possession based, playmaker-filled squad came out trying to bulldoze fear into our hearts. El Shaarawy limped off after 7 minutes, having his achilles stamped. In the 14th minute, our hearts stopped, as a crunching tackle left André Gomes on the ground. He was carried off, and scans showed a broken bone in his foot. He will be out for 3-4 months. A flurry of cards made sure the game got under control, and we dominated possession. Late goals from Jorginho and former Viola "favourite" Alessio Cerci saw us pick up all three points. Cerci's celebration in front of the travelling Fiorentina fans, may see us lose him for a game or two, but this was a step in the right direction!

View attachment 280427Game 7: Cagliari - Milan 0-1
Cagliari have been performing above expectations this season, so going to Sant'Elia would not be easy. However, our saviour of the month, Giampaolo Pazzini, made it 4 goals in 4 substitute performances, as we grabbed all three points in a daylight robbery, and headed back to Lombardy. We dominated possession throughout, but Cagliari played on the counter, and created more and better chances. Good displays from Lopez, Zapata and Bocchetti, as well as another man of the match performance from Gayà saw us hold on. In the 56th minute, 20 seconds after replacing El Shaarawy, Pazzini showed what a clinical finisher he still is, and put away the goal that gave us all three points. It may not have been deserved, but boy was it good!

Summary of October and November:
On paper, 16 out of 21 possible points is a good tally. However, our fixture list was kind these months. We now have to face Roma (H), Genoa (A), Inter (A), Juventus (H) and Udinese (A), which will be a much bigger challenge. We're yet to hit our stride offensively with 17 goals in 12 matches, but 5 clean sheets in 7 games in the last month is a very impressive achievement. If we keep that defensive record, we could well end up being back in Europe by the end of the season, which is where we should be!

Napoli November Update
View attachment 280410
Partizan 0 -
Napoli 3
Mertens 10, Callejon 38, Icardi 42
As expected we dominated this Europa League tie. It's always good to see Icardi scoring, however injuries to Mertens, Insigne and Britos soured things somewhat.
Cagliari 0 - Napoli 2
Zapata 28, Callejon 58
At the time Cagliari were top of the league and unbeaten, so it was good to take them down a peg, especially in an away game. Icardi picked up a knock in the first minute and was immediately substituted for Zapata, who got on the scoresheet.
Napoli 2 - Roma 2
Icardi 28, Callejon 29 - Totti (pen) 4, Ljajic 6
Continuing our recent burst of good form, although Roma dominated possession (with 61%) a bullshit penalty saw us draw a match we should've won, although when Manolas got a second yellow we failed to capitalise.
Interestingly, all the goals came in short bursts.
Napoli 1 - Zwolle 0
Gabbiadini, 1
An early Manolo Gabbiadini goal saw us take control of the match, which we ended with 63% possession. However, without Icardi our attack looked timid, and we should've scored more, especially in a home game.
Genoa 1 - Napoli 3
Borriello (pen) 47 - Icardi 59,77, Digne 83
Another good performance from us, this time away at Genoa. A penalty put them ahead, but an Icardi goal just before the hour mark put us back in the game. Two more and we easily won.
Napoli 0 - Verona 1
Gomez, 76
Icardi misfired, and we were awful. We dominated possession, but a stupid red from Henrique and they capitalised well. Losing to bottom of the league at home is just plain embarrassing.
Inter 0 - Napoli 0
Four shots, none on target. It seems we've become a one man team, and that man is Mauro Icardi. He played poorly and so we did.
Zwolle 1 - Napoli 2
Necid 15 - Callejon 53, Icardi 63
It seemed that Icardi was back in form, and his goal secured us a victory against a Zwolle team that had 2 shots on target
Napoli 0 - Juventus 1
Romulo 62
At the start of the season, a match that would've had a key say in the title winner. Right now though we sit towards the bottom end of the table, and Juventus were the only title candidates on the pitch.
Udinese 1 - Napoli 0

Thereau 48
With 50-50 possession, neither team performed well. However they say anyone can win on a good day, but the best sides can win on a bad day. This was sadly true here.
Wolfsburg 2 - Napoli 0
Schurrle 59, Perisic 67
We had one shot on target, which just about sums up our recent form. They were the better side in every area, and deserved winners.

I'd expected him to be one of our best players. Instead, he's got 2 assists and 1 goal in 15 total games. Absolutely shocking.
Summary

We started the month strong, and then as Icardi got worse we got worse. To state the obvious, we're a one man team: Icardi scored in every game he played in, other then when he was substituted in the first minute. Even more worrying then that however is that in every loss we failed to score. And when the opposition do score, we seem to sag and cannot get back in the game. I have requisitioned Andre Villas-Boas' head. Failing that, I will fire him.
Next Month...
We have one more match this month, against Cesena. After that, we face a fairly easy month: 18th place Palermo, as well as a struggling Atalanta and Lazio, along with Empoli. In the Europa League, we have Partizan to go. However, they need to win 7-0 to get past us - although, considering our recent form they just might. We also face Juventus in the Italian Super Cup final, whatever that is. We will lose.

(There is a Sampdoria flag so it's totally relevant!)

Amazing Arnie's Army marching on!

Arnie's takeover of the club was met with mixed opinions from the fans, some were scepticle, some were rejoicing, some didn't care. Since he has taken over the team has gone from strength to strength.

He has managed to strengthen the side significantly whilst keeping the books in the black...well not quite.

Sampdoria have had an amazing few months and they go into December into second place! can they keep this form up? probably not! but it would be pretty cool if they could! The club has a record so far of 9 wins out of their first 13 matches which is a win record of 69% (giggity)

They managed to get all 3 points from Milan and Roma and easily looked the better side in both these matches! and with the team playing this way they are not afraid to take anyone on with the confidence they have mustered in recent matches.

Also big mention to Torino in 3rd! was not expecting that!!
