This was a pretty good month for us. We advanced in the Champions League, which I am delighted about. We also got through to the next round of the FA Cup. We have been good in the league with wins over Manchester City and Sunderland but I am very disappointed with a defeat to Wigan. We will need to put our foot on the pedal as we have some crucial games that could decide our season in January.

Nice update, shame about the defeat to Wigan. Looks like United have dropped points so you can get past them now if you win your games in hand. Keep it up mate, really good story.

So who will the Hammers face? You will find out shortly.

The Draw

Valencia v AC Milan
Panathinaikos v Inter Milan
Palermo v Bayern Munich
Roma v Tottenham Hotspur
West Ham v Atlético Madrid
Werder Bremen v Real Madrid
Olympique Lyonnais v Chelsea
CSKA Moscow v Barcelona

So, the draw has concluded and Daniel Oakes' side have drawn Atlético Madrid. Lets hear what he had to say.

Daniel Oakes said:
I am fairly pleased with who we have drawn in the next round. I believe that we have a great chance of advancing by beating Atlético although they are a good team. None of the teams that reach this stage are bad teams,m they are all here for a reason. We will need to watch players like Sergio Aguero and make sure they get as little as the ball as possible else they could tear us apart. I believe we have many players that can cause them problems though. I am very confident that we will advance

Any chance in a team screenshot with the last 5 games bar ect. Dan?

Out of interest Dan, what is the aim for last season? Maintaining your top 4 status or are you once again pushing your boundaries. Having read the 9 pages that this story has been has been an enjoyable morning read and has lit a fire in me to start a new file myself.

Well I wanted to maintain top four stautus but I really wanted to have a good go at the League title. It does not look likely though to be honest. I am very pleased with how we are doing so far this season though with my own tactics.

thanks for reading.

Very good read and great results for the Hammers but I'm very saddened to see that no youth products are being used. I would love it if you tried to turn this brilliant squad into a greater squad with english players instead of foreigners. I'm not racist but it is nice to see an english based team with academy players. Make your academy state of the art and try using regens from east london. Thanks.

I'm not criticizing by the way mate. You have a great squad and brilliant success but it would be nice for you to have a strong english spine of players like the english spine currently at West Ham.

Yeah, I think I am going to have a reshape in the Summer, I really need to get rid of some high earners. I have Jack Rodwell and he has been excellent. I will be looking to bring Jordan Spence through also towards the end of the season and next season. I will also be adding some English players in to the team but they usually come at a price so it depends on what I get given.

How much did you pay for Otamendi, can't find the post?

I paidd around £12 million in monthly installments mate. Has been worth it so far. :)

By far the best layout on this website. :)

Thanks so much pal, it takes long enough :) Hope you continue to read.

Mate have you had a look at yaya sanogo? He looks like a brilliant prospect for the future, and could possibly break into your side. Could play either as a target man or a poacher

I would get him but I have actually got too many foreigners in the team, would like to get some more English players really :P I have some in mind (H)

Great read mate - it would be nice to bring back people like Joe Cole, Frank Lampard, Jermain Defoe, Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick etc eventually as they are good and english and local. I would also like a return for the magnificent Tevez lol.

Money isnt at an all time high but I will try and bring in some good English talent in the summer.
