West Ham's injury crisis thickens

n_real_madrid_roberto_soldado-40191.jpg

Daniel Oakes had more bad news today when he found out that Roberto Soldado had suffered an injury in training and will be out for three weeks. This comes as a blow to West Ham as it adds to the list who are already ruled out. Oscar Cardozo, Hatem Ben Arfa, Nicolas Otamendi and Sergio Canales are the other players ruled out and it is looking as though West Ham will not be able to field anywhere near a full strength side against Chelsea on Sunday.

Unlucky about all the injuries, you have a good enough squad to pull through it though. Looking forward to next update :)

i know this is off topic but how do you start a thread i can t seem to do it. thanks. also i have read all 13 pages and you have inspired me to sign soldado for my man utd team

An update will be coming up later tonight. Look forward to it :)

Sorry there was no update last night, watched Resident Evil when I got in but there will definitely be an update today :)

Diamanti departs for pastures new

alessandro-diamanti-2009-12-26-9-43-36.jpg

Today Alessandro Diamanti left Upton Park after a successful three seasons under Daniel Oakes. The 29 year old striker left to join Barcelona for a fee of £10 million. Daniel Oakes had this to say.

Daniel Oakes said:
It is a shame to see Alessandro leave the club but when Barcelona came calling, I did not get in his way. He is 29 now and only got a couple of seasons in him but he is a quality player so I believe it is a good move for both parties. I would like to wish him good luck in the future.

West Ham complete deadline day swoop

miguel-veloso-to-manchester-city.jpg

In what has become a very popular occurence for West Ham, Daniel Oakes has moved to sign Miguel Veloso for £22.5 million. The midfielder is believed to have been just what the Hammers needed, a defensive element in their otherwise strong midfield. This signing came days after Hammers fans saw Mark Noble, Jack Collison and Luis Guilherme leave the club.

brilliant signing in veloso mate and 10 mil is good money for diamanti especially because he is approching his 30s

Yeah that is what I thought mate really, actually gives Tomas Necid a chance to step in as main back up striker now. But I do miss him as my Trequartista :'(

Results update coming within the hour.

Why have you blocked out one of your signings Dan?

I wonder who that was ;)

Looking good, good luck vs Chelsea!

I blocked it out because I made it as a free transfer after the transfer season finished and wanted to announce it.

Community Shield 2012

West Ham penalised by Chelsea

chelcupget_1459156i.jpg

In a dour match at Wembley today, the Community Shield was decided on penalties. Neither side created much in either normal time nor extra time and it was only fair that it went down to penalties. However West Ham players bottled it on penalties, missing three penalties and handing Chelsea the shield.

Today, it was a game that could have gone either way. It was a bore draw and I am very disappointed that our players could not handle the pressure when they needed to. The players I set out on the field today wasn't anywhere near our best eleven but we gave it a good effort and could have nicked the game. It was not to be as we blew it on the spot kicks. Another thing to focus on in training.

In another tight game at Upton Park, West Ham did not come away with the result they desired. West Ham were expected to win this one easily but Sunderland rose to the challenge and achieved a point after Michael Turner's goal cancelled out Marco Verratti's earlier strike.

Champions League Draw made.

After the group stages were draw earlier on today, West Ham manager Daniel Oakes found out who his side will play in their second Champions League campaign in a row.

West Ham
Brondby
Shakhtar
Stuttgart

It is believed that West Ham have gained quite a favourable group draw and will be expected to advance through to the group stages with significant ease.

Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

Ashley_Cole_633568116102031250.jpg

Ashley Cole's performance today was the only one really to take any note of as both sides played their way to a boring stalemate. If anybody, Chelsea were the better team but never really threatened the goal enough to secure the three points. West Ham fans will undoubtedly be happy about the result however.

Manchester City 0-1 West Ham

The Hammers today came away from the City of Manchester Stadium with a great three points. Oscar Cardozo's strike took them into the lead after just four minutes and after many failed efforts by the Citizens, West Ham held on for a memorable rearguard victory.

In a phenominal performance at the Bronby Stadium, West Ham United came away with a fabulous win with Roberto Soldado on song. Soldado only came back from injury about a week ago and it is quite clear that he is back on form. The Hammers have started very brightly in their Champions League campaign.

West Ham 1-1 Liverpool

West Ham were much the better team in an encounter with Liverpool today. Pepé Reina held very strong throughout the match to deny the rampant Hammers a win. It is still a good result for West Hm as they remain unbeaten in the league.
