Love the story and would give the tactic testing a go if you want because on my current game with Wigan, who got relegated before I took over, I am absolutely battering the Championship so have nothing to lose.

Ha that made me laugh :) I will be homw within the hour :)

woot, won the FA Cup, defended the Carling Cup and made the semis of the Euro cup this season with the tactic mate. Also finished 5th in the prem. Carlton Cole was immense at the start of the season but then all of a sudden turned pants but Acquafresca who was the opposite lol killed it towards the end with 11 in the Euro Cup and top scored in the prem with 27

Los Galacticos yet again outclass Hammers

article-1096557-02D5444E000005DC-305_468x412.jpg

In a classy game at Upton Park tonight, Los Galacticos arrived and left victortious. West Ham put in a good showing and looked like maybe getting a draw on the night but Real Madrid showed what they were about with a vintage performance. The man they call Cristiano and Gonzalo Higuain scored for Real, whilst Alessandro Diamanti grabbed a consolation goal for the Hammers.

Citizens strike Hammer blow

A 93rd minute strike from Maxi Rodriguez sunk West Ham fans hearts today by sending them out of the FA Cup at the semi final stage. Maxi's strike ended the Hammers chance of retaining the FA Cup with a cruelly late goal. The match in itself was very equal and deserved to go the full length but Manchester City will no doubt be delighted with the goal.

Hammers edge past Burnley

After some tough losses as of late, the Hammers needed to strike back with a win at Turf Moor, and win they did. In a tightly contested affair, it proved that Alessandro Diamanti's strike was all to seperate the two teams.

Spurs rain on West Ham's parade

Tottenham-Hotspurs-Luka-M-001.jpg

Spurs beat West Ham in a tight affair today and pretty much ensured that West Ham would not be winning the Premier League. A vintage display by Luka Modric which tore the Hammers defence apart as well as goals by Bassong and Rossi ensured the league was well and truelly in Chelsea's hands.

Hammers struggle past the Latics

Goals from Roberto Soldado and Oscar Cardozo saw West Ham battle to a win for the Hammers today. The Wigan team that turned up were a feisty outfit today and proved to go down without a fight. West Ham were just about good enough to earn a much needed victory.

Win against Watford still not enough

Even with a win against Watford, West Ham could not do anything to stop Chelsea from retaining the Premier League after their 2-0 victory over Fulham at the Bridge. West Ham performed brilliantly nonetheless coming away with an emphatic 3-0 win.

Man City have the last laugh

A brace from Robinho and another late winner from Emmanuel Adebayor saw Manchester City win an epic match at Eastlands today. Man City lead twice in the game as the Hammers came back but late goals foiled the Hammers again and the Citizens claimed all the spoils.
We have had an unlucky month here at Upton Park. Real Madrid yet again did us in with a vintage performance. Manchester City got their own back on us with two cruel late goals in each match. The game against Tottenham cost us the league but we had a lot of ground to make up anyway. If we can finish second, which we do look like doing, I believe that is a great season for us after lifting the Carling Cup. Roll on Liverpool in a week.
Thankyou to JHopper for his help with this update else you would have been waiting longer!

Nice update mate, unlucky about the final results though. 2nd in the league is still a great achievement and you met Real pretty early on in the Champions League, with a better draw you could go all the way!

And no problem for the help, my pleasure :P

Keep it up, hopefully you can go one step further next season!

Liverpool hold on as West Ham fail to win

Jose-Reina.jpg

Pepé Reina had a great game today as he was the man to stop West Ham winning a game where they were by far the superior team. West Ham now go three points clear in the race for second place and are almost certain to achieve their highest finish ever.

Class Act teaches Spurs a lesson

On the last game of the season, West Ham got their own back on Spurs from their unlucky defeat two weeks ago with a classy brace from Roberto Soldado. Soldado threatened Spurs with every attack today and looked like scoring many more. Alessandro Diamanti scored the other goal. This result ensures that West Ham have finished second in the Premier League.

I am delighted with the season we have had here at West Ham United. We have finished second in the Barclays Premier League which is our highest finish ever. I never thought this would be possible when I took over. We finished the season very well with four points against top ipposition and I believe that this only shows how well we will come on for next season. We will be making big moves in the transfer markets, so expect some big shocks.
