End of Season

We have had a fantastic season here at West Ham United Football Club. We have finished in our highest ever league position in the Premier League finishing runners up to Chelsea. We had a lot of brilliant results and the players were fantastic and everyone of them played their part. I am also delighted that we have brought silverware back to Upton Park through the Carling Cup in which the boys impressed me highly in, beating teams such as Manchester City, Liverpool and Everton on route to lifting the trophy.

Even though everyone has played their part in a brilliant season, there are a few players that deserve a special mention.

Roberto Soldado

Roberto had his best year yet at Upton Park. He was fantastic this season and he picked up twenty six goals in thirty five appearances in the Premier League. He picked up the Premier League golden boot and the English Footballer of the Year award for his great performances.

Diego Buonanotte

Diego is another of the players to have a fantastic year here at West Ham. He came in with thirty one appearances and scored seven goals, set up ten assists with an average rating of 7.32. Diego was third to Roberto in the English Footballer of the Year standings

Oscar Cardozo

Oscar formed a formidable partnership with Roberto Soldado this year. He was not as high in the scoring charts with nineteen goals from thirty seven games but he came in with six assists which no doubt helped Soldado get his tally up.

I am delighted with my team this season and believe that we can go one better next season and really challenge on the European stage. I do not believe that we need much strengthening to achieve this as we have a great set up here. I do believe that we will be looking to sign more homegrown players to lessen the foreign impact in our squad.

Nice update mate, really looking forward to seeing who you sign in the Summer now!

West Ham have today unveiled their kits to be played in in the 2012/13 season. The kits are unlike most kits, with a rather classic look and without a sponsor. Manager Daniel Oakes is said to be delighted with the kits and brands them as 'Fit for Champions'

Lovely kits Dan, and lovely season for you. Hope you win it this season mate!

Can't wait for your signings, should be good :)

Thinking of signing Canales on my game with Everton, any chance of a screenie of his stats please mate?

P.S. Love the kits :)

Oakes completes deals for five new signings

ben-arfa.jpg

At the end of June, West Ham manager Daniel Oakes was told he would be given £38 million transfer budget to win the Premier League this season. In the first two weeks of July, Daniel Oakes has moved quickly to complete the signing of five new players.

Hatem Ben Arfa completed his move to West Ham after agreeing a move earlier in the Summer. It is believed that Hatem is a great talent and will severely challenge for the central midfield places.

Cristian Torres was another player that had already agreed to a move to West Ham for an arranged fee of £3.1 million. It is believed that Torres has great prospects.

When Daniel Oakes saw this deal for young midfielder Steve King, who is dubbed the next Paul Gascoigne, he snapped Manchester United's hands off. King has joined for an original £3 million fee that may eventually rise to £7 million and will add some young English blood into the squad.

Daniel Oakes moved to sign yet another young midfielder today. This time it was Antonio Pinna, from Roma. The young Italian cost West Ham United £2.8 million.

In West Ham's biggest signing so far this season, they spent £12.5 million on another English midfielder from Everton called Alex Francis. It is believed that this youngster has a great future ahead of him.

Daniel Oakes said:
I am very happy with my signings so far. The youngsters that I have brought in have added some young English blood into the team, which was badly needed. Also, the signing of Hatem Ben Arfa, I believe is a great bargain signing. To get a man of his talent in on a free transfer is brilliant and I believe he will shine at West Ham.

Aha.. Them Regen's look ace. For there age anyway.

Good signings

Thanks pal, I thought they did look pretty good.

A big shock signing is coming up now! Did not cost me much either.

Hammers reveal shocking new signing

michael-owen.jpg

In a deal that has got the whole country talking, West Ham manager Daniel Oakes has signed thirty-two year old Michael Owen from Manchester United for £375K. Many fans are questioning Oakes' motives with this signing but this is what Oakes had to say.

Daniel Oakes said:
I am delighted to capture Michael, and at such a small price aswell. Michael is a proven goalscorer and I believe that this will be a great piece of business for us. He is an experienced Premier League striker and can certainly help the youngsters develop. I believe he will be a massive coup for the club.

With all of West Ham's injury worries, Owen is set to start in the Community Shield against Chelsea, alongside Tomas Necid.
