Thanks mate

Sorry guys, but no updates till Monday as I am going to Y Not Festival.

See you soon.

Wow, what a story. Just read it from start to now, keep it up :)

August 2014 - It all kicks off

Wolves v West Ham

It was a tough match to start the season with, with a trip to hard working Wolves. After a slow first twenty minutes, Daniel Vogel netted a lovely goal after 22 minutes. West Ham continued to dominate the game but could not break down the Wolves defence to score again. Even though it was just a narrow victory, I am sure Daniel Oakes will be very happy with his team.

West Ham v Manchester United

For a game at the start of the season, this was a game that could define a season for both teams. The first half was full of nerves as none of the teams went out with intent and it pittered out goalless at half time. After the first half, nobody could have expected what happened in the second. West Ham came out on fire with a Marek Hamsik goal just 3 minutes after the break. Hamsik then added just 10 minutes later with a brilliant drive. Anatoly Melnik finished off a great performance with a 90 minute goal to give the Hammers a delightful 3-0 win.

Everton v West Ham

In what was expected to be a close affair at Goodison Park, Everton and West Ham stepped out onto the field. West Ham came out firing after Daniel Vogel scored after just 4 minutes. West Ham kept pushing after the first goal and made another breakthrough with a Soldado strike after 32 minutes. Delighted with a 2-0 lead, the Hammers looked comfortable for the rest of the game and came away with a solid win.

I am very happy to start the eason with three wins. We won the Community Shield and I am pleased to see that we have upped our performance from that. The victory over Manchester United was a particular highlight.

It was the 29th of July when the reigning Champions League inners and the Europa League champions faced off. West Ham went up against AC Milan at Stade Louis II in Monaco. The game was always going to be a tight contest but the Hammers kicked off with a bang after a fifth minute Marek Hamsik strike. Both teams then had quite a few chances but none of them could take them and it went into half time at West Ham 1-0 Milan. The game was back into doubt when Alexandre Pato crushed a crisp finish into the back of the net 15 minutes after the break. All looked over when Hamsik struck four minutes from time but that man Pato again popped up with an 89th minute equaliser. The game went on into extra time but no team could force home the advantage. It took missed penalties from Pato and Thiago Silva for West Ham to take the trophy after a beautiful Anatoly Melnik penalty.

I am very happy with our win over AC Milan tonight and to keep our flow of trophies going. Even though we had to rely on penalties again, I believed we were the better team and deserved the trophy. I have to thank my assistant Daniel Jones for helping me ith the team selection for the match as it was our two minds combined that helped the players bring home the trophy. I also have to hand the boys the credit, especially Marek, who is on top of his game.

It's great to win another Trophy. We're still in line for the 5 i wanted this season aswell. It was a terific match, Milan put up a good fight, but i feel we should've won it in extra time. But a wins a win, even if on penalties.

Another good update mate. And once again, i'm glad we won it. :D

September - The season rolls on

West Ham v Q.P.R.

When the reigning Premier League champions took on Queens Park Rangers at Upton Park, there was only ever going to be one result. Daniel Oakes knew this and set out with a team full of rotation players. A brace from Sergio Canales along with goals from Vasiljev, Nelson, Melnik and King gave the champions an emphatic victory.
A shock looked on the cards when the champions travelled to St James’ Park. Valeri Bojinov gave the home side the lead after under 20 minutes and the Magpies took the lead into half time. It was only a crack of the whip at half time that sent West Ham into action. A brace from Daniel Vogel, either side of Simon Kjaer’s header gave West Ham a win they much needed.

West Ham v Maccabi Haifa

West Ham started their quest to defend their crown in Israel tonight. A brace from the club talisman, Roberto Soldado and Marco Verratti gave West Ham the three points they came for.
West Ham continued their run of form into a home game against stubborn side Stoke City. Stoke held strong for a lot of the game but a 36th minute header from Nikita Vasiljev separated the two sides.
The Carling Cup started this week for reigning champions West Ham as they hosted minnows Walsall. Manager Daniel Oakes played a young side coupled with a few experienced players. The Hammers got the victory they deserved after goals from Melnik and Upson but the minnows put up a good show.
The month ended on a bit of a sour note for Daniel Oakes’ side when they travelled to the south coast to take on Portsmouth. After just four minutes, Hammers captain Marek Hamsik was injured after a heavy collision and he may now be out for up to a month. After that, neither side could make an impression on the game and it ended in a boring goalless draw.

Daniel Oakes said:
Even after the disappointment at Pompey, I am very happy with the month we had. We are still going along brilliantly in all competitions and already have two in the cabinet. I will be very disappointed if we do not add to that.

Some interesting matches coming up in the next month for West Ham United including two more Champions League games against Leverkusen and Zenit St Petersburg. Stay tuned to see how they go on.

Some good results there mate. Tough month next month. I'm sure the mighty hammers will walk it. ;)

Seems like you have a great team there from a brief look. :)

I'll read through more later.

West Ham eye Dzeko

Rumours are rife this morning that West ham manager Daniel Oakes has made a formal bid for Barcelona goal machine, Edin Dzeko. It is believed that Oakes has been interested in the Bosnian for years but he now believes that this is the only time that he has looked a realistic buy for the club. With free transfer signing Mauro Zaraté struggling to make his stamp on the side, it is looking that Upton Park could be Dzeko's next destination. If the move was made, he would join the London club in January 2015. West Ham have also made around six signings earlier on in the summer. They have added to their ranks with the captures of Guillermo Ochoa and Mauro Zaraté on free transfers aswell as Nelson and Anatoly Melnik for around £2 million each. Both centre forward Nelson and attacking midfielder Melnik are looking to be delightful prospects.

This is surely up there as one of the best stories on the site along with the Cockfosters and Cultural Leonesa stories, just read it all, absolutely fantastic the way you've built up West Ham from a struggling mid table team to the dominant force in both England and European football

Thanks mate, its comments like that which keep me going :)
