Fulham v West Ham

View attachment 102201 View attachment 102202

West Ham set out a young side when they visited Craven Cottage for their Quarter Final clash with Fulham. The first half was very quite with no team really challenging. However, West Ham turned on the style in the second half as Diego Renan kicked in with their first goal. Marek Hamsik and Steve King added to this to hand the Hammers a comfortable semi final place.

West Ham v Bolton

The home side were fully expected to come away victorious at Upton Park today, when West Ham took on Bolton. Mauro Zárate opened the scoring after 11 minutes before Nikita Vasiljev doubled it just before the 40 minute mark. The game then played out for an easy West Ham win.

Leverkusen v West Ham

View attachment 102205 View attachment 102206

Both teams had already qualified easily when West Ham took on Leverkusen at the BayArena. It was just a matter of who wanted the game more. Both games had a lot of chances but in the end, none could convert and it played out to a goalless draw.

West Ham finish top of their Champions League group with an impressive 5 wins and a draw. Leverkusen follow behind them with 13 points. West Ham will now play Hamburg in the Knockout Rounds.

In a boring gane at Upton Park, West Ham took on recently promoted Crystal Palace. Despite many expecting an onslaught, West Ham only just prevailed through an 80th minute strike by Oliveira.

Club World Championship

December 2014 marked the month where West Ham United took place in their first ever Club World Championship.

Seongnam v West Ham

It was always expected that European Champons West Ham Unted would have a great opportunity to add a great new trophy to their cabinet. They continued that belief today as they beat Seongnam with a comfortable 3-0 win. Oliveira was first on the scoresheet and was closely followed by Marek Hamsik and Nicolas Otamendi to give them an easy win through to the final.

West Ham v New York Red Bulls

West Ham United appeared in their first CWC Final today against American team, New York Red Bulls. The English and European Champions were full expected to win and did not disappoint. A brace from Marek Hamsik and goals from Marco Verratti and Oliveira gave them an impressive 4-0 win.

It was back to serious Premier League matches when West Ham returned from South Korea. In a brilliant match at Old Trafford, the Red Devils handed the Irons their first defeat of the season in a thrilling match. Wayne Ronney destroyed the West Ham defence, coming away with a brace. West Ham went 2-1 up but United showed their guts and came back for a 4-2 win.

Arsenal v West Ham

Arsenal handed West Ham their second defeat in a row and only their second loss of the season today at the Emirates. West Ham battled hard but did not show enough as the Gunners swept them aside. The Hammers showed signs of fatigue after only coming back rom their trip to Korea last week.

Daniel Oakes said:
Despite the two defeats to end the month, I am still very happy with how we have played. We have had a lot of games this month and have won all but two. I am especially delighted with how easily we won our first Club World Championship. I am also happy with getting through to the Semi Final of the Carling Cup aswell as the Knockout Rounds of the Champions League. All is still looking good here at West Ham.

West Ham have yet another mammoth month ahead of them, with an F.A Cup game with Tranmere to start off a big run of matches. Looking at the calibre of opponents though, manager Daniel Oakes will be expecting victory in all nine games.

End of Season Update 2014/15

Barclays Premier League

View attachment 104977

West Ham won their third straight Premier League this year and did it in ultimate ease. The East London side have easily become the biggest team in England and this year have won the Premier League by 18 points. Daniel Vogel was the top goalscorer for the league champions with 16 goals but Darren Bent won the League's Golden Boot with 22 goals. Marek Hamsik was arguably West Ham's top performer this season, as he scored 11 goals from his new Attacking Midfield position while gathering 8 assists.

West Ham became three time champions this season.

UEFA Champions League

The Champions League trophy was one that eluded West Ham manager Daniel Oakes this season. Oakes failed to keep the trophy in the cabinet after his side succumbed to a vicious 6-2 aggregate drubbing from Real Madrid in the semi finals. Inter Milan eventually won the trophy, beating Real in the final on penalties.

E-on F.A. Cup

West Ham lifted their second consecutive F.A. Cup trophy at Wembley with a superb victory over Arsenal. Another trophy to add to the glorious trophy cabinet as Oakes is seeking to put his own place in the hall of fame. It was especially delightful for Oakes to outwit the great managers of the game on the way.

It is fast becoming West Ham's favourite football ground as the Hammers yet again picked up a trophy at Wembley. With a sensatinal comeback from the depths of defeat and a sensational four goals from Roberto Soldado, they found themselves lifting the Carling Cup again.

I am absolutely delighted with the season we have had. Only one trophy has eluded us this year, and that was the Champions League. Forgetting that drawback, we have picked up no less than six trophies this year which I think is incredible. Not all is how it seems at West Ham though, something surprising will be happening very soon and may shake the foundations of the club.

Great season mate..
Can't wait for this surprise, should be epic if it matches this story!

Spain - A New Chapter

Spain_Shirt_Badge_2008-logo-9E7AC6EFE3-seeklogo.com.gif

Spain have today announced Daniel Oakes as their new national team manager. The West Ham manager has a wealth of experience as he has led the English team to over ten trophies over the last two seasons for the Hammers. The Spanish F.A. stated that they expect Oakes to make the nation proud when they host the European Championships in 2016.

Oakes sacks Assistant and announces shock replacement.

MCR01.jpg

Many thought it was an onimous decision when West Ham manager sacked Brian McClair just under a year ago and appointed newcomer Daniel Jones. It has today come as no surprise as Oakes has removed Jones from his backroom staff. It was very surprising who was announced as his next Assistant Manager though, as McClair signed a contract that brought him back to the job where he was removed from just ten months previously.
