Jamie Carragher - A Managers Story

With the girlfriend after work so no updates tonight I don't think, will try to get a quick one in before she's round!

I was thinking last night, I won the Europa league with Valencia and then the year after I won the Champions League with Liverpool, who else has done that before?

I never wanted to sell Martins Indi, but for the fee that Juventus offered I could not say no. I have Chiriches and Mussacheo who are ahead of him and were a solid partnership at centre half year, and Wisdom and Skrtel are not bad behind them. I also have a deal lined up which would see Martins Indi fall down the pecking order once more, great business for the club but sorry to see such a good player leave too.

The one, the only, Rafa Benitez! All you need to do now is have a melt down before you play United, and you are almost there!

We have signed Geronimo Rulli on a bosman after scouting him for the year, I was extremely surprised to his his value once he signed, our scouts are claiming he's almost twice as good as our current goalkeeper who was outstanding last year and at 26 years of age he still has a long future ahead of him. This could be the signing of the year.

Edison Cavani became available on the market and with him being able to occupy the striker position and the right wing extremely well I just had to move for him. At 31 years of age he is a risk but if I can get 2 or 3 good seasons out of him in his world class form and help with our progressing dominance in the league and in Europe then he will be worth every penny. £30 million is a lot but when you receive £37 million for Martins Indi it allows you to take the risk.

Again, I am flattered that alongside Madrid the biggest club in the world wanted me to manage them but I'm at the club I've dreamt of and right now we have proved we are the best team in Europe at this stage of time so the temptation of a better squad does not appeal to me. I want to make Liverpool the best club in the world again so I won't be leaving any time soon.

I am, I don't understand... why is Allen still given more chances? He's doing the opposite of what he's supposed to be in for, he's exposing the back 3 instead of shielding them.

Oh, eh, yeah, erm... let's just say I'm not a Liverpool fan..

Moreno doing the Sturridge dance has made my day.
That dance was... incredible...

I'll have to admit, Allen put in a much better 2nd half shift, looked more comfortable staying back instead of lingering forward like he want to.

Allen actually deserves some praise IMO, he calms the game down when needed and rarely loses the ball, going forward isn't really his thing though haha! And he just won us the Super Cup... haha

Great signing... Still a good 2/3 years in Pique at that age

In real life, do you think a Man Utd v Liverpool final in the FA Cup is possible?

You have some team there. I'd often buy many good players but couldnt maintain harmony in the squad since everybody wanted to play. Decided to have a core team and the rest young players who will grow to become possible first team players
