We're out of the relegation zone with an amazing win at home to Nottingham Forrest. We played out of our skin today, the passing between the lads was great. Particularly on the third goal. James Wilson is looking really tidy in front of goal and that's just what we need right now.

Words can't describe how good Loftus-Cheek was today. He controlled the game and reminded me of Steven Gerrard with his performance today.​
 
Love the move back to Sunderland! I'm also very interested to see how well RLC does for you, is he an England international on the game yet?

No he isn't but I'm going to change that when I have him playing amazing! :P

He has good stats to be fair, much better than I thought he would be!

It's a shame they got knocked out! That would do for some storyline!!
 
Just caught up, great twist mate! Shame about the way JC's Everton career came to an end, good to see him bouncing back. Sunderland to finish top half?

We've pretty much guaranteed ourselves a place in the lst 16 of the Europa league. Wilson bagging another 2 again. He's done so every game for me so far. Loftus Cheek scored one and set up an astonishing 4. It could be a new contract for him because I can imagine some interest will come in the summer. Life has started well at Sunderland!​

Loftus Cheek really is beginning to become a leader in this Sunderland side. He is doing exactly what Steven Gerrard did so much at Liverpool. Today wasn't our game, but when we needed something special to decide it, Loftus Cheek come up with the goods. I have spoke to the board and they are allowing me to open discussions on a new contract for the 26 year old.​

I sat down with Loftus and his agent and we discussed a new 70k a week deal, which is 36k more than he is on now. I think the lad is worth it, his recent form has also suggested that he is. My plans for him at the club are big and to keep him happy he needs to be up there with the high earners. He's scored in 3 of his last 4 games as a centre midfielder and he seems to excel while playing under my tactics. He's an engine and can go forward and backwards very well. I have no doubt he will become a club legend here.
