Jamie Carragher - A Managers Story

8-1!! What a drubbing! Carragher not afraid to flash both middle fingers to the Liverpool board!!

Doesn't seem that way :P

I was not expecting that scoreline at all! Was quite a nice way to rub it in, and to take top spot!

That's what Mourinho gets for playing defensively - almost want something like that to happen IRL to Chelsea...

Yeah would be nice!

Ivanovic - Terry - Cahill - Azpilicueta

is some defence though! It will come one day!

how will liverpool feel about not hiring you XD
question, the tactic you using is downloaded or made by yourself?

Annoyed!

I don't tend to use just one tactic, I change different things about it based on opponents**

That formation is a winning one, I've seen many people use it on this FM, the tweaks you make depending on player roles etc depends on how good your players are in them positions.

I first seen the formation somewhere else, but I have created the tactic as such :) It took a long time to get it right, 3 whole seasons!

By the way if anyone wants to follow me on twitter at @xJamieWilliams, I shall follow you back! :)

Back down to a four star story - The Struggle of Carra

That's 3 stories down to 4* now, weird as if stories have a rating it is usually just 5* - and if you happened to think it was me for my 'screenshot fest' comment - which came out poorly - it wasn't :P.

Rarely see the England job available as well, crazy win against Liverpool!

Happened to mine too :(

Some kind soul has rated all the 4* threads back to 5*. :) Anyway, Everton for BPL..?

Get in nat clyne and firmino! stole em from right under the devils noses. Oh and good story mate :P

I just love coming here and winning after what was a horrible start to my managerial career. Fulham hated me at my time here and the owner was quick to tell me I could not perform on this level so coming here and winning always has a nicer feeling. Unfortunately I wen't a bit over the job by jumping up and down in front of the Fulham fans, but if you had seen Moreno's goal, you might have too.

He picked up the ball on the edge of the box, back turned to goal and flicked it through two players, knocked it past a third and slotted it in. He's scored from a move he created himself and really should not have had a chance. Okore scored his 7th of the season with another header from a corner, he's been immense in the air this season, and is proving that he was such a steal from Chelsea.

I was happy to see Toni Silva scored in the last minute as I give him another game in the team, he's been a solid player whenever needed this season.

Ten games in and we are unbeaten. I've told the lads how proud of them I am and the dressing room was buzzing, apart from Fitzgerald. I can't seem to understand what is wrong with that lad, he's valued at the £15 million mark by most but he hasn't had a good game for me, I keep giving him chances as he is a local lad but he doesn't want to know, I'm going to have to pull him up on it and see what's going on.

I'd just finished setting down the cones with Skrtel for our first drill in training, and as the lads come out Bainsey came up to me, Fitzgerald wasn't here. I'm sick to death of this kid now. 20 years of age and he believes he can act like this while the rest of the squad are training every day and playing the football of their lives.

"Martin, get him in."

I'd lost it. Really lost it. I'd given this lad chance after chance in the first team but he just doesn't want it. He's going, I'm putting him on the transfer list.

He has everything you need to become a world class centre midfielder, but he just doesn't seem to want it. He's has enough chances here though. No more. Martin had just got off the phone to him.

"He said he's not coming in today"

"Not coming in? Well if he's not coming in then I'm ******* going there!"

Once training was over I was going straight over there. A lot of the lads live on the same luxurious estate, so I was straight round there.

I rang the door bell and knocked furiously, but there was no answer. I kept knocking and knocking and the door opened, I pushed past him straight into his house shouting and screaming at him.

"What the **** do you think you're playing at? Why haven't you come to training? What's wrong with you?"

He broke down into tears and walked down the hall into another room, what the **** was wrong? I walked after him, only to be horrified by what I had just done.

He had made a room in his house for his mum, who looked seriously ill. He'd been looking after her, and today was unfortunately her last day. He cried and cried and I just stood there in disgust with myself, what have I done so wrong for one of my players not to come up to me and tell me?

I hugged him, and that's all I could do at the time.

That's an interesting post. I was all ready to cheer you on as you tore the kid a new one! Now i feel bad :S

Fitzgerald wanted to be left alone, and I couldn't blame him. His dad came round and I had a chat with him before I left, and told him how I will give him as much time off as he needs, sometimes there are more important things in life than football, and at 20 years of age this lad needed the time off.

The next day I had the lads in for a team meeting and told them of the news, not one of them knew. For some reason he hadn't told anyone, maybe it was his own way of dealing with things but it was a lot to take on at his age. His mum and dad had been split up ever since he was a kid so he was looking after her alone.

We had a huge trip to Paris to face PSG the next day, but I couldn't stop thinking about how I had treated one of my players when he needed me most.

I then got the worst phone call of my life, it was Brendan's agent.

"How dare you."

"I know, I'm sorry. I didn't have a clue"

"Putting him on the transfer list a day after his mum has died. You know how much he loves this club. You know how much it means to him. I can't believe you. Don't you dare think the press won't find about this."

The phone went dead. I didn't put him on the transfer list, I said I was going to but I never. I looked at Martin and got him straight into my office.

He had put him on the transfer list as I was at his house, I hadn't told him to, I didn't even know he had the right to do it. He'd been in and told the club that I gave him permission too. I don't know what's gone through his head but he's really dropped us in it.
