How is it a sad day for music really? fair enough if you wanted joe to win but theirs no need to be so melodramatic.:$
 
Well tbh the song is not good without this interent campaign it would nto be anywhere near number one would it?

Bascially a load of people have got together to make it number one regardless of how good it is. And not being melodramatic was just a phrase don't take everything so seriously mate is just a phrase.

It's a sad day for music is a phrase?
The song isn't bad and the main reason it wouldn't be anywhere near number one is because it was originally released in 1992. And calling their song rubbish is rich since joe's single was hardly a masterpiece and at least RATM wrote their song.<)
Don't want an argument though just didn't see how it was a sad day for music and you've said it was just a phrase so.....(A)

Did not say the song was rubbsih get your facts right. Yeah it was re-released though am I right? And without the internet campaign it would not have been number one, it enter the charts at number 25 until the facebook campaign.

So you prefer RATM to 'The Climb??????

Yeah, fair enough you didn't call it rubbish but you said it was number one regardless of how good it was so i assume you don't think it's great.

And i do prefer RATM's single to the climb.

He came in the shop I work before X Factor and we always used to refer to him as the gay lad, he is defo gay or at the very least bi. Still like the lad though did Shields proud :)

There are lots of worse songs that have been number one including probably all the X-factor songs till this year. Why did they win? Where you as annoyed when they did?

Yes, it only won because of the internet campaign. But it is still quite a good song and better than the climb and they are probably more talented than joe. So the better song and artists were number one and this annoys you?
You avoided my question as well. The only reason that the majority of the previous X-factor winners were number one was because the show up until the final had basically just been one big campaign advertising the X-factor winners song meaning when it released whether it was ***** or the artist was ***** it would be number one. The exact same as what you are so annoyed about but i doubt you were annoyed every other year. Double standards. Don't pretend you're annoyed because RATM didn't deserve it or because they only won due to a campaign, you are annoyed because he's from you're area and you wanted him to do well.

You basically proved my point I did not say the Climb was better nor that thr RATM song was rubbish I merely stated it won because of an interent campaign. You read too much into it. And in answer to your question most of the X Factor songs are classics and are genrally a decent tune compared to a song swearing and preaching a so-called message
 
I read on ITN this morning that RATM are on Sony as well any way. So it doesn't make a jot of difference who went to number one. Sony still made all the money. Fools.

Exactly my point people trying to be different and be 'orignal' are just conforming by downloading this RATM song just because a group and campaign told them too

I am struggling to see why RATM winning due to an internet campaign is a travesty but the X-Factor winner always being number one due to basically a T.V campaign is fine.

I don't want to read too much into your comments again but since you seem to be saying swearing in a song is negative then "fairy tale of new york", arguably the best christmas song ever, is bad or compared to the it the X-factor songs are decent or the swearing in the song makes it worse? The "so called message" is anti-racism and anti-war if a bit aggressive. hardly appaling sentiments. and just because someone covers a classic does not make a song good.

To be fair, i don't have anything against simon cowell, but some of them were doing it to spite him not sony and since RATM are on a different branch of the sony label he got less money, i think. (can't be 100%)
