If anyones looking for a striker Dentinho is class in this tactic. Can be signed on loan for 1.8 mill or brought for 10 mill in 1st or second season
 
I'll be starting my second season as Napoli tomorrow or Monday JP, so I'll let you know how this season goes with a better team.
 
So after some testing I have to say the man marking wasn't the reason for my improved defence. I think it just takes a while for the defence to gel to this tactic. My defence actually started to play better when I started a game out with the standard instead of the attacking mentality so now I start away games or against strong teams with standard instead of attacking mentality, haven't conceded a goal since that time. ^^

I think so too,like i said earlier my gelled Arsenal team conceded 16 goals all season.
 
I started up a game of FM a few days ago so thought I'd use your tactic JP. I was playing as Las Palmas in the Spanish Second Division with a Media/Board Prediction of Relegation.

I think it's fair too say it was a successful season overall. I did notice what others said though about the defenders constantly getting caught out but I just put it down to how awful my defenders actually were.

I've signed a new improved batch of defenders this season, so hopefully once they settle I'll start to see less mistakes.
 
My reading save just went on a like 4 match losing streak, any idea's?

Nice going. If you can get defenders with good positioning and concentration it should tighten things up. Good luck for next season.

Wolves 1-5 Blackburn

Nice one, best tactic I've used in a long time.

Finished my 3rd and final season testing with Boro.

Results:

Premier League... Winners

Carling Cup....Winners

FA Cup...Quarter final

Europa League...Semi Finals

My LEAGUE W/D/L record over the 3 seasons with Boro is as follows:

Games Played 168
Games Won 116
Games drawn 32
Games Lost 20
Goals for 399
Goals against 161

I dont feel i have anything left to prove reguarding this tactic,ive shown it works with both Big and Average teams.

Going to try and make a wingers tactic that works on patch 10.3 now.

I think it's fair to say the tactic works - I have a feeling those who struggle are either bad at motiivating their players or just don't have the right players.
 
These look great but I have never understood why people would play fm if they don't use thier own tactics. Doesn't that spoil the fun?!

Some people simply cant and would probably give up on the game altogether if they couldnt use someone elses.

I have also had many PMs thanking me for my tactics,not for the success they are having but because it has finally helped them create their own which is great.
 
1st season over with Liverpool (with no major signings for the first team - just Wilson from Rangers and Annan from Rosenborg)

Premier League... Winners

Won 32
Drawn 3
Lost 3
Goals for 86
Goals against 22

Carling Cup.... Quarter Final (played youth team)

FA Cup... Winners

Champions League ... Semi Finals (lost on away goals)

You have inspired me to try to slowly evolve this into a new tactic over the next few seasons. so that it feels more like i am actually this managerial superstar.

I agree with JP here. When I first started playing FM when they split from Eidos after the popular and successful CM series I really struggled because FM was so much more tactical based. Alot had changed and while I was learning it all it helped to use someones tactic not just for success but to create my own. Granted I don't have a rip roaring success with my own tactics yet lol but it's helped me learn and grow as an FM player. Trust me when your starting out it's really demoralising to lose every game and feel like your not getting anywhere and a game after all is meant to be fun.

People like JP have helped thousands of people like myself who struggle with tactics. So I can't say it takes the fun out of the game. But thats just my opinion of course. ^^)

I struggled terribly with tactics for a while when i first played Champo on my Amiga,i thought i new it all but i was wrong.
 
Used this tactic with Sunderland

Season 1: Premier Division Won, FA Cup Won, Community Shield Runner Up
Season 2: Premier Division Won, League Cup Won, CL Runner Up (lost vs Liverpool, they are an annoying team to play against with this tactic)
Season 3: Premier Division Won, League Cup Won, FA Cup Won, CL Won (got 3-0 vs Real in the first half only to witness a nasty 3-3 in the second half, because who defends right? and then winning in extra time)

Season 3 Premier Stats:

Won 30
Drawn 6
Lost 2
Goals 84
Conceded 24
Yellow 29
Red 1

So yeah, the tactic works, thanks!
