Thats a shame but im guessing you still over acheived?

Hopefully you will continue with it and build on it, beef up your squad and who knows. Its a shame though,that would of been real success with a team of Las Palmas standards.
 
Have not had a lot of time for fm for a while but i am going to give this tactic a go with Everton and from reading from an earlier post i have been one of these people that cant seem to get my head around tactics making so people like youself jp have been a bit of a godsend and have made the game enjoyable for me. Thankyou and im also quite looking forward to this winger tactic you are working on....

Not sure how much the shouts are helping, but pass to feet and work into the box seem to be generating more goals.

ive just started using these on a new huddersfield town game and trotman has been playing as my right cb and hes got 2 hat tricks in pre season.. i laughed...
 
I've been inspired by all you Tactic experts to actually finally create my own tactic, and to my surprise it's working OK. 8th in the Premier League with Blackpool in February and already beat Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Screenprints to follow once I work out how to upload them that is.

I've read all the different threads, but basically ended up just trying to use common sense on how to set all the fields.

definitely JP and Mr Hough seem to have the best tactics available so far.
 
Just a little update on my wingers tactic.

Its now a standard 442 which im sure will please many of you. Ive started a new test with Derby County as playing with Atletico Madrid was poroving far too easy. That said playing Derby is proving the same,im looking like winning every game i play.

Ill stick with the testing and release when ive done a couple of seasons. Very pleased so far though.

gotta say i fink staying up 'quite' comfortably is an achievement tbh, its hard breaking into them top leagues! espically with no cash!
 
nothing wrong with Boro Fans

well as a Brentford fan myself, probably wont get to play you guys for a while yet, but we are working on it.

thanks for the tactics so far, and hopefully my own 1st attempt will prove to be successful, I'll share the after using for a season.

yeah i wouldnt mind it altho this v3 tactic is doing well, i have got wingers playing in CM jus due to the strength of the squad i have at Huddersfield, and im second in the league had a nice run in league cup and look set to be battling for the league title... if i got these winger tactics i may well just walk it :D
 
So I tried making my own tactic with Ajax, using the same deep 4231 as I saw in Woody's lay out :) Went alright in season 1; changed to the now familiar 343 (cus i mean its Ajax!) and won CL in the second season, did counter strategy versus strong teams though.

Would love the winger tactic :)

Not sure if anyone cares but here are the guys I buy for the 343: Season 1: Kramaric, Neymar, Otamendi, Buonanote (halfway season 1, free transfer), Lukaku (insane), Zapata (if you can definately DEFINATELY try to get this guy at all costs I would say), Moussa Sissoko, Skjelbred, Danny Wilson, Djourou (can be gotten for like 3 million at some point), Sandro, Obasi (possibly), Lavezzi (possibly), Carlos Eduardo (possibly, he has a big mouth though)

Try and get Jon Obi Mikel if he ever gets cheap (fights with manager) same with Sulley Muntari.

Season 2: Dzeko (possibly season 1 if you can get him), Adler (if you like having the best GK and don't mind spending the cash), Özil (good value for money I think, even if you only use him as AM), Gourcuff (if you got a lot of money lying around)

Yeah, big over achievement still. Media prediction was 20th in the first season and even now after strengthening my squad I'm still expected to finish 18th. This season hasn't been going so well though, I lost two of my central defenders and the three replacements I signed are all failing to settle in the area which can't be good, oh and a new goalkeeper who dislikes me.

The UEFA Cup is a bit of a pain as well, had to start in the first qualifying round out of four so my season began in early July. The mid-week fixtures all also killing my players fitness, pretty rare to find a player with a 100% condition pre-match.

So all in all expecting a similar league position this time around and hopefully next year after investing in a bigger squad I can make a decent push towards the top end of the table.

I was going to ask if you wanted to give my new 442 a try but you probably dont have any fullbacks or wingers now. :S

Do you have plenty of good fitness coaches Lee?

Just to update ur tactic owns ignore the haters... i let in silly goals but that cos my defenders are not world class, just to give u an idea of how much it owns...

Nice result :) helped a little by the sending off but still good.
 
yeah sending off did help, but tbh we were all over them.. i am as we speak playing them 2 weeks later or so at home in johnstones pain trophy so i will update you hopefully not with my pride dashed and a tear in my eye!

EDIT: to update yes i won not 6 - 1 like a couple of games ago however it could of easily been 6 and should of been at least 4 however a win over leeds is good no matter what the score ^^)

Yeah no wingers I'm afraid.

Good Fitness coaches are all I seem to attract, going to try dropping my training schedules down a bit more and see if that helps.
 
Hmm I found that the only time the formation struggled was against Madrid due to ****** Ronaldo but besides that the total football tactic didn't concede many goals at all for me. Are people having trouble with that or something? Had a goal difference of +70-something.

Madrid are the worst team in the game to play,they seem far too overpowered.
