maybe you have good team talks but to me im sick of this bs game, makes me so mad....... its not just your tactics but in past games as well

Mate I never download tactics but this interested me alot so i started a game with AC Milan. It works unbelievably well.

First 6 games have been wins:

Beat Fiorentina 4-0
Bari 5-0
Palermo 3-0
Inter Milan 4-0
Bologna 5-0
Liverno 3-0

Hi JP. I just wanted to say I like the concept of your tactic a lot and some of the plays look really great but there are a few things that I have serious problems with.

First I sometimes have real problems with my DCL and DCR exposing their sides when a cross comes from the other side which leads almsot all the time to a very easy goal.

Second the individual mistake rate from my defenders seams to be higher with this formation then with any other since they miss so many crosses and often stay way too far away from their opponents.

Another thing I've noticed is that I have the feeling that the attacking midfielder and the complete forward too often get in each others way.

I have some Ideas how this could be fixed and will try it out now. First I want to set the DCL and DCR to "man" marking and wide play to "hug touchline". This way I hope they won't be clunking with the DC in the middle so much and are more encouraged to stay wide and won't expose the far post so much.

The Problem with the AM could probably be solved when I set the AM to a support role as well or let the complete striker play as a "Trequartista" instead to avoid that both will run through the middle.

I'll give you some feedback when I'm done testing.

Im going to try with a Deep lying Forward instead of complete forward and see what happens because i dont like Trequartista's,they arent team players and dont contribute enough to the team.

First game 4-1 win away to Stoke.

On my Reading Save i'm using your tactic, so far iv'e Lost against Forest 0-1 Beat Newcastle 0-2 and drew vs Swansea 3-3.

The only thing that bugs me I can't get my defence under control. No matter what I tried the far post still is exposed.

My back 3 are also not the worst I have Bassong/Badstuber CDL Ferdinand/Evans/Smalling CDM Vidic/Molina(Regen) CDR.

Any Idea why this always happens? Oh and every team plays a wide formation against me now with AMR and AML either a 4-5-1 Barca style or a 4-2-2-2 pretty annoying.

Defence it is usually strong,at Arsenal i coceded something like 16 goals in a season and had 8 consecutive clean sheets. Your going to concede goals,thats football. I dont think its that bad at the back compared to other tactics doing the rounds.

It's not really bad it's just the way these goals are scored that really annoy me cause my players look like idiots the way these goals are scored.

But I found a way to make the defenders cover their sides a bit better but it's still not perfect.

If you set your CDL and CDR to man marking they will try to pick up the players coming over the flanks but unfourtunalty not all the time which is ok wehn the CMs or the DM does it.

As for the man marking,the only worrys i have with that is players being dragged out of position. Maybe you need CBs with good positioning and concentration.

Going on holiday is proven to be a flawed way of testing tactics.

Maybe so, but after playing 15 league matches, 5 friendlies and the 3 champions league matches the flaws of the formation were still apparent. Typically with a new formation it only takes 10 games for the team to gel in my opinion.
I hate to bring Mr Hough's formation into this, but even at the start of the game the team play seems strong. When trying Beautiful Game - Super Tactic this also seems strong. The 'gel' affect after 10 or so games means the teams make less mistakes.

The players do not seem to be making mistakes in your formation, it's the fact cross field balls cant be stopped. Any team with a strong heading striker would cause problems I bet.

Mr Hough's is a great tactic but defensivly it didnt work, i got beat at Man City 10-2 in one game but it does get results no doubt.

After 3 seasons with Boro,finishing 5th first season in the Premier and now challenging for the League and in the Carling cup final with a very average squad.not to mention thrashing Arsenal,Man Utd etc. Not bad for such a flawed tactic.

I agree. Even with the best tactics on this site (eg you and mrhough) I always seem to get poor results when I holiday a game

I done what you said JP and stuck with it and these have been my last 5 results after we lost to West Ham.

Sorry about my mini rant last night but i just really hate losing to Wolves . And thinking about it just before my first match of season I rejected bids from chelsea for Bramble and Cahill which put them in a mood. Anyway just hope it continues now.

Was extremely weird, I downloaded the tactic, put it in the tactics folder and then loaded it on my game to find that the formation you have displayed in screenshot wasn't the one it gave me in game.

When I selected it it gave me a 4-2-3-1... Very weird.

Have you downloaded the wrong one? My V1 tactic was a 4231. It is weird,but thats not this tactic.
