Yeah I believe the guy is Lasseman. He's been working on a lower side time for a while now but wanted some 'fun' for a while so uses Real Madrid. He's been working real close with me on the tweakings. Major stuff is coming out on the next update.

If you like I can ask him to give his current tweakings to you and maybe you can work with us too via MSN or something since you've been one of the regular contributors here. It's pretty similar with one that I'm doing right now. (3.6 but with a lot of more tweaking)

no thanks :P i prefer working here. Realise i contribute but giving advice on positioning tweaking and players only cause those are the kind I have done these past years. Mentality wise im noob at it so it would alien language to u guys :D

Hi Koflok. Firstly, thanks a lot for making this tactic. It was always my favorite in 10, and I'm hoping to use it for a long time in 11 too.

I started using it on a new game with Arsenal, and it worked really well. Won the league, the CL, and the cup that season. Winning that much is boring though, so I decided to try it out in a more challenging game.

I started fresh as Boston United, who were projected to finish 8th in the Blue Square North. Their players were all **** though, so I sold almost all of them and started signing as many free players as I could that fit the roles of the tactic. I managed to fill most of them nicely, but the one problem I've found in the lower leagues is that's it's almost impossible to find good AML/AMR in general, and even harder to find good AML/AMR that fit the requirements of this tactic. I managed to find one though, and I used him as an inside forward on the right, and just switched my AML to a winger on support duty since his stats fit that better.

Things started out rough while the team got used to the tactic, and I lost a lot of games early in the season. As things got on though, it got a lot better. I made a bunch of the tweaks that were recommended in the thread, and I started using Standard away/Attacking at home. I ended up finishing 5th in the league and winning the promotion playoff.

My second season, I signed some better players because I had a much bigger wage budget, and I ended up finishing 11th in the Blue Square Premier, despite being predicted to get relegated.

A big problem I had in my first 2 seasons was conceding off of corners, but after the second season I switched to heavy man marking on corners and that improved dramatically, I barely conceded any goals off corners after that unless my keeper made a mistake. This, combined with signing a couple more good players let me finish 3rd in the Blue Square Premier in my third season, and again I won the promotion playoff and got myself into League 2.

I'm now in my 4th season, my first in League 2, and things are going well. I'm hovering around mid-table about halfway through the season, just bellow the last playoff spot. I'm still having a lot of trouble finding 2 good inside forwards, but I've found that 1 inside forward and 1 winger works pretty well. I've scored a ton of goals where my inside forward would cut into the box and score off a cross from my winger.

I just picked up V3, and I'll start testing that out today. It's pretty similar to what I was using after the tweaks, so I don't expect many drastic differences.

On the whole, the tactic is great provided you can tweak it to suit your team. It doesn't score as many goals in the lower leagues (I rarely score more than 2-3 goals, even at home) but it gets the wins, and that's all that matters. I'm really looking forward to your updates, and I'll be the first in line to test them out when you release them. :)

I cant stop notice that playing in away match have huge impact on player. No matter what wonderful tactic use, opponent use home field as their big advantage.. So I think this tactic should be made into two ver. Home and Away. I think home already fine.. But for away match this tactic need to be tweak in superb defense.. Perhaps set the mentality to counter and plus 1 defensive mid may help..

My first use of this tactic, everything kept the same, just changed how they do the corners!! Need help with tweaking if needed!

Ok Koflok some further feedback from my recent tweakings with Toronto FC, mid-season in 2nd year.

Tried using wingbacks/hug touchline/close down full pitch, but couldn't see any improvement, so I switched back to fullbacks/support/own half, this way defence looks more solid. Also changed DCs to zonal marking/tight, with full backs still man marking. Works good for me.

As suggested in the thread, I tried using narrowest style (i also have minimum pitch) and it just works great for my team. Players are closer to each other and move better together, which really helps passing and ball possession. Attacking at home and standard away also seem the best fit for my team. And the "pass into space" shout seems to help a bit.

I changed RMC to central midfielder/support (rarely run from deep & run with ball), and this way the LMC is looking much more effective, with more space to move, pass, shoot.

Team displaying great attacking football in 2nd season, dominating MLS regular season, and destroying mysterious teams in dubious continental competitions (chinese/korean in the pacific cup, guatemala/costarica clubs in north america cup early stages). Assulin quickly developing into a very good winger, great news as he's tied until dec 2015 with a cap-friendly 15,000 euros per year contract...

Very nice review first of all. Great it's still working out for your side.

Cheers. Thanks for the bolded parts especially. I'm putting those tweaks into the next update as we speak.

Mixed results with this tactic, don't get me wrong we bang in the goals at home but always seem to struggle in away games, whoever we play.

Would you reccomend changing any tactics for away days?

I am Liverpool and we are 2nd in the prem after 18 games...almost all home games won but majority of away games have been draws/defeats.

Line up as below...

GK - Reina
DR - Johnson
DL - Coentrao
DC - Carragher
DC - Skrtel
DM - Poli
MCR - Cole
MCL - Meireles
AMR - Gerrard
AML - Babel
FC - Torres

Torres has scored about 23 but the closest behind him is Gerrard/Merieles with 6....also a worry :S

Switching Cole and Gerrard would work first of all.
And find a better left-footed right winger. Joe Cole can work there but mostly as conservative winger who crosses rather than cutting inside. His stats has pass his prime IMO

here is attachment couldnt work out how to send it pm

oh wow. seems like just an off-day to the lads. Totally dominated.
Can't comment much sorry.

True! Away matches have been a total dread this year. Seems like SI have been over

Thanks for the great seasons review. Glad it has helped Boston (isn't that in America lol), to climb the league ladder so far.

On your point of having 1 inside forward and 1 winger. Couldn't agree more.
On some occassion having those combinations actually make the performance better.

I will have to probably put that in the first post so that people aren't too focusing on having 2 world-class inside forwards - which to be honest - is not easy to have especially for lower sides.

Yeah V3 is basically all the tweaks that have been recommended here + some minor tweaks of my own. So it's pretty much the same if you've been following the thread. A major update is coming though. The testing have pretty much been.. frustating :@

While I'm not sure how 'galore' in terms of scoring for lower side, because probably the strikers are.. well you should know. but the most important thing is to score some goals (2-3 is not that bad too really) and of course win.

Cheers so thanks again for the feedback and just watch this space. Hopefully the update will come in a week or so.

Nice to see how you've come back from the dark side. :D

Well first of all that's not a bad game at all. You won, the possession is not bad for a time like Blackpool, you created 5 CCCs, and the pass completion is nice as well.

Leaky defense though. Try a couple more games and hopefully it gets better.

The team is still gelling with the tactic after all.

Ok, I started a game with Leicester City and decided to use this tactic for my team.

I signed Fabian Corini for goalkeeper on a free transfer.

Right back I use Michael Lamey who is already here.

Left back I brought in Michael Ball on a free.

Centre backs are Jack Hobbs (already here) and Jay DeMerit on a free.

Holding midfielder is Yuki Abe (already here)

Central midfielders are Henri Lansbury (loaned from Arsenal) and Enzo Maresca (free)

Right attacking midfielder is Fabrice Pancrate signed on a free.

Left attacking midfielder is Chris Eagles (£3.4m buy from Burnley).

Striker I intended it to be Vaclav Kadlec (£1.2m from Sparta Prague) but he has missed most of the season with injury so Darius Vassell has filled in.

I also signed other players, mainly frees and loans as back up.

Pre season was a mixed bag. I organised a pre season league and invited 3 Premier League sides and lost the lot, but only narrowly. Won most other games.

Season started reasonably well. Favourable cup draws in League Cup saw me eventually go out to Arsenal at Emirates Stadium AET in the 4th round. 7-0 win over Lincoln being the highlight of the run.

After 10 games in the Championship I was 9th but I held my nerve and am now on a 16 game unbeaten run, scoring goals for fun (4-0 away at Millwall, 5-0 at Reading, 5-0 over Portsmouth to name but 3) and now 1st with 14 league matches remaining.

Best result to date: Drawn away to Tottenham I went and played unbelieveable and won 4-0 at White Hart Lane.

If people are struggling with this tactic, please perserver. My team are now 100% on all 8 knowledge aspects with this tactic and now I dominate pretty much every match.

first season over with genoa, was top of the league with 6 points to spare with 5 games to go, had a shocking last 5, ended up coming 2nd :/ gutted. bought elia this season for left wing though who hopefully will do some wonders

Second season done and being newly promoted to the Norwegian Premier division, the media predicted I would end up 16th and get relegated.
Been using V3 of this tactic, but didn't really dominate possession-wise,but I still got results.
Managed to win both the league and the cup!
The only time I really slipped was when I got kicked out of the EURO cup by Metalist...

im having some issues with my oponents and how many freekin long shots they get, any quick tips?? Im villa

im playing with arsenal at the moment and im top of the league after 9 games so far so its all good so far, except for one thing, fabregas..

im playing with the V3 tactic and have him playing as the advanced playmaker, and so far hes only scored 1 goal and 0 assists, how can i improve his performances?

Oi

Hey Koflok,i am trying your ta tactic with City,i use Balotelli on the right and Silva on the left..tevez up front .Hamsik and Barry/Toure in the midfield and Jong as def mid. Do you think this is good or would you havd done otherways? i also wonder if you do anthing on Opposing instructions before the match and how do u use teamtalk.

Just lost against Leeds in an away match, with Q.P.R. They just overplayed me. Nothing i ever did worked. Only real weak positions in my team is my two backs, the rest of the team are more than enough for a match like that. Leeds had much more possession and CCC's. Started with 'Standart' then I changed to 'Counter' after a possessive 10-15mins, but they scored one from a cross when it was set to 'Counter'. Now this may sound my only problem is my backs, so nothing else is wrong. But not exactly. Then i changed to an offensive playing, had nearly no any important chances. And their every single attack caused troubles on my side. By the way i did changings on v3 as @kandersson said one page earlier. So i'm playing the narrowest formation etc. It was much more worse for me before. Anyway, before the match, assistant said they supposedly play better against narrow formationed teams. So i also applied 'Play wider' instruction and alongside the others when changing to offensive mentality. It made nothing better, maybe i got exposed more, but i don't think sticking to defensive or balanced mentality would've save me from the defeat.

My stats:
HOME: 7 Wins, 1 Draw, 1 Losses
AWAY: 2 Wins, 6 Draws, 2 Losses

Hi I recently downloaded your V3 tac and have had a solid but not superb run with Inter Milan 3 season in

I won usually by the score of 2-1 or 1-0 and got draw many games on away. Any suggestion on how to improve on this. Thx for any advice.

GK: Julio Cesar
DR: Maicon
DL: Chivu
DC: Lucio
DC: Geromel
DMC: Cambiasso
MC: Hamsik
MC(adv playmaker): Sneijder
AML: Eto'o
AMR: Pandev
STC: Diego Milito

Koflok is gonna like this, this is tiktak btw ;)

3-0 at home
5-0 away Europa League Semi-Final

Next up LIVERPOOL!!

I think i got the idea for away match problem but never try it yet.. so can someone who has same problem with me try it and post the result
The trick is simple.. just put one tactic (koflok gg in this case since i so interest in his/her tactic but have to move on another because I lost streak in away match :() in match preparation and let the assistance take care of it.
Got it?
I really want to see the result badly.. Thank You

8 more goals for Fernando Torres =)

8 goals in 1 game baby!!!! what an explosive tactic lol...i have only have torres score 4 goals in my entire FM experience but 8!!! 8 is crazy man...
