Struggling with Liverpool with this tactic :(

It's mirroring real life form, lost 3 out of 5 prem games!

My bad! :$ didnt select the tactic properly. Will give feedback after a season with delpieros25 tweaks.

Off-topic but I feel like this is the home for me on FM-base right now;

My question; Is there a training schedule one of you guys swear to using that is proven by you effective?

Can I get some link or something 8-|

I enclose 5 screenies. Results to date for my second season, two key victories and current league table.

My results show how I am progressing lovely. Please note my last two league results. This is key as I used the defensive tweaks for the first time with those results.

I also enclose the stats screens from these matches - I got battered but I won them both! Coincidence? I think not.

Finally, the league table which shows I am punching way way above my weight. My squad is here too as it proves my squad is nothing special.

Was starting to doubt this tactics, when I realised some tips to increase the scoring potential. Sorry for repeating if these have already been mentioned.

Start every game with the following instructions
Get Ball Forward
Play Narrower
Play to feet

If playing against a team and you are struggling then change from attacking to Counter.

If playing against a team that you are struggling to score against then switch to Overload.

If playing against a team of equal reputation or slightly lower then keep to attacking or control

Hope this helps

Your OI's seem to be working, just beat man u 1-0, trounced me 5-0 the last time

I restarted a match against Wigan 4 times. Me at home, them away.

1st try: 1-1 (no tweaks)
2nd try: 1-2 (no tweaks)
3rd try: Made my MCR the playmaker (Luka Modric) 3-3
4th try: same as 3rd try + OI + Width changed to Wide (the slider is at the same point as the tempo) 5-0

Such a huge difference lol!!

Struggling constantly with Q.P.R. in first season of EPL.

Most of the goals i conceded comes from crosses by line. I prevented some of these by focusing to "defensive positioning" on match preparation. But still there are huge amounts of crosses that endangers my defence horribly. Backs (or in some cases with CB's) are just incapable to prevent crosses from the opposition winger. They keep following the winger to the line -at the same alignment- (so its not about speed, right?) and then the winger, just before passing the goal line, crosses just behind of the full back's spine, without stopping without changing used foot. Feels like its about marking, but 12-13 marking ratings isn't that bad, huh? Even Evra's is 14-15. Maybe it's mental? Or not attributes related? Can there be a reason i hadn't thought of?

I also concede from corners, set pieces... prevented some of those by focusing "defending set pieces", but most of the time it is still disturbingly dangerous. Also, if i chose one of these focusing areas, the other one would still stay being a danger. So what to do?

I concede sometimes through through balls, but it's not very frequent. And it's understandable when happens. In the end, it is talented wonders who i play against, right?

Here is my disastrous results:

I thought when i promoted to EPL, i could easily stay above "last three" by winning around ten games or so, or even stay around mid-table for the first year, but now i passed a quarter of the league and all i got is one win and two draws. It feels like it won't be that easy. I felt really hopeful after i exterminated Bolton, with a 4-1 score, as seen above, but I'm not sure if the team can play again like that.

Here are the details of some of the matches:

Fine results against Cardiff, Blackburn, Barnsley and Bolton:

Bad ones against Stoke, Villa, West Ham:

And my squad:

My striker is a beast. He's poor at air but other than that he is perfect. I, most of the time, use Richardson on the left when he's fit and not injured. Can use both foot fairly good, fast enough, only a bit bad when it comes to finishing in his place on this tactic. Right wing is more complicated. I used mostly Jason Puncheon "Left only" footed, his Right foot is "Weak". Tried Dj Campbell in couple games, who uses both foot good and good finisher, he seemed he'd fit better to this tactic, but his Crossing and Technique is worse. So i thought Puncheon is better. My middle is the most powerful side of the team. Agyei is a wonderful DMC, only rented but has the option to buy for 7M. Cairney and Faurlin, as MCL and MCR, are very talented players. I also use Jordi Gomez frequently as a part of the rotation system, he's also very good, and i have Elano and Juan Arango as old and slow but talented players. Actually signed them to play them in first eleven as AML/R's, but they were nowhere near in the game, due to speed? So i figured speed is to be more important. I won't say much else about the defence, here's the back four:

Hi mate I'm using this on my Spurs game and having decent results. My issues are I'm having a lot of long shots and it's very frustrating. My wingers ,fullback and defensive midfielder keep shoting from yards away, though I've set long shots to 'rarely'. And I'm struggling to get the best from Lennon, because He's right footed then according to your tactics I must place him to the left, but he have 'competent' at AML, the same applies to Gareth Bale, so what's your advice mate? (They don't cut in a lot)

Definitely going to give it a go - once they get used to it in match preparation I'll see how my players respond to it. Nice work on it man!

Yeah, unfortunatelly this tactic isn't working for me with Chelsea and I'm going to be sacked off.
=/
Even with some tweaks

Btw for those who don't speak portuguese, "inseguro" means INSECURE.

Did someone notice that penalty conversion is ******* hard?
Lampard missed 7 penalty 'till now even with individual training set to penalty.
wtf!! I lost 2 games and draw another 2 just because Lampard can't convert any penalty, what differs a lot from FM2010, when he didn't miss none.

Gonna do that

Yeah OI seems to be working marvelously. The defense is definitely tighter.

Hmm oh wow. Sorry but by default isn't the MCR already the playmaker? :D
Seems like the tweaking of going wide is working well.
I'm gonna test that soon among other things.

Cheers man thanks for testing those variables out one by one. Appreciated!

Hmm. Since it's a waste to not use Lennon's pace, keep him as traditional winger on the right and on the left put someone right footed like Modric to cut inside. VdV can be you LCM and Huddlestone (or if you had bought someone else) as RCM which is the playmaker

You can make Bale as the left back but put him on support duty with the tweakings of
Run with ball sometimes/often
Run from deep often
Crossball often

I am not very sure about this but by default, Primary Playmaker was unticked. The box was grey out but the MCR player is there.

What happen was I ticked the playmaker box and reselect the MCR as playmaker again. That is what I meant by 3rd try.

Hi Koflok!

I'm playing as Liverpool (just starting), I have gotten bid accepted for Coentrao, Suarez and Douglas Costa. But I have a few questions.

Maxi and Kuyt stats seems horrible for this tactic, so I have shipped them off (correct?) :). I was planning on having Babel as ALM backup and retraining Milan Jovanovic for ARM (do you think he will be succesful there rotating with Costa? Or is Costa ready for first team regular despite his young age?)

Second question, fullbacks! I think the stats you suggest are very good for offensiv fullbacks. But so far I have rarely (if ever) seen my fullbacks run up the pitch and cross. Wouldn't it be better to have more defensively oriented fullbacks?

for me is tactic v3 working BRILLIANTLY!!!I am unbeatable and look on my team stats......

cool,

with mara.sustai OI i've got 9 CCC against aston villa, and they got 1 CCC

beated them 3-0

and yeah you must try d'alessandro

he works well in right winger

he's beast, now i'm on top of the table with wolves in first season. this tactic is great
