Hi mate,
I sent you a PM.
As you can see there, I finished 2010 as 4th in Barclays. Won two last games giving me some air to breath. But right now I draw (9 draws in 22 games played) with Stoke City (8th) playing in a away match.
As I said in PM to you I have SO MANY draws with this tactic, mainly against small teams, I really don't know how to improve that considering players that I have in my squad.

Team talks makes a huge difference with this tactic. if you follow the advice written earlier in this thread,it should give you alot more consistant results and avoid complacency.

This is really good tactic, but i did make some tweaks ofcourse, to fit it to my team . . (hnk hajduk) . .
I set wingbacks run from deep often, cross sometimes and passing to lowest mixed value . .
To CD's i just go 1 click up in passing . .

Width few clicks up, aswell as line . .

OI are working pretty well, but i like limiting teams core better than wingers . . so i set midfilders to tight marking, and winger to always close down . .

Im currenty doing great, but need to find a good midfielder for my team, i only have Ibricic as "playmaker", rest are dm's or ball winners . .

I just finish first season with Parma on 4 position.I have a good run,11 games without deefet.

Now i go to the next season and try to buy some good player and tray po play second seasone even better.

hi im using this tactic but my striker is advanced forward and not deep lying forward like you wrote
and 1 more thing is the right&left defenders they are wing back and not full back like you wrote.

Just choose the roles that fit your team the best. If you get the results you want,then there's no problem

any suggestion for good CB?

geleano is the best yound cb i think. hes only 18/19 at the beginning of the game but he becomes very solid, use him with leeds in the prem in my 2nd season, he has an average rating of like 7.40

Need an AMR. Anyone got a suggestion which would fit this tactic well? Money is no problem.

well here's my results after 10 games with my team olympique de marseille:
wins: 9
draws: 1
defeats: 0

and goals are 25 - 5

absolutely great tactic and beautiful football also..

using v3 tactic with the OP, little more wide and working great.

also i want to ask something that i read somewhere here

if we change our mcr from advanced playmayker support to attack and also run ball from deep will be working better??? anyone try this???

thanks also to the whole forum because each one of us giving something new or a good idea and thats is very helpfull.

@Robwiks. the best choice - is Messi, Ribery, Gerrard, Arshavin, Vucinic, Simao, Di Natale.
Also you could invite balotelli or Modric in your team

also try karim ait fana (great choice) and eyal golasa (i know he isnt clear winger but this kid is awesome) both works great for me!

And yeah I would like to point out the importance of team talks, OI and management as well. It's not all about the tactic. If you fail to manage your team well, the resultant will be brought to the pitch during matchday as well - even using whatever tactic.

Nice result and a decent goal return as well.

Hmm yeah I supposed it could work. But you need to have a very good playmaker who can dribble, shot, and create chances. For example Kaka during his prime.

Well, glad you replied Koflok . .
Team core = where their through balls are coming from, ussualy CM position . . so i limit the passing between central players of the team, so that they cant really play good through balls to their strikers or wingers, and if wingers recieve the ball, i have them close down always so that they cant do much . .
I have been using that last 3-4 years playing this game, and it did the job . .
But ofcouse not every opponent is the same, so i need to change those from time to time to adjust . . that is just my "general" setting . .

Hello, i am gonna try this tactic but i have one question. Does this tactic require your wingers to play on the wing opposite of their preferred foot so they can cut inside?

if anyone can help,

my main problem in the away matches is keeping the ball,
usualy i got around 45% possession, but i'm losing the ball way to much on the opponents half wich results is way to less chances (despite the fact that i make quiet some goals from those few chances)

I'm playing as tottenham with the V3,
not to much tweaks in the away matches, tried a more normale to countering gameplay with longer balls but didnt help to much

been thinking to put my midfield on manmark instead of zonal ?
usualy playing with
Hamsik/Cairney(running midfielders) and Modric/Paulo Henrique (as playmarkers)
Huddlestone/sandro

The attacking part is with Defoe or Kadlec in front as deep laying attackers, and Kranjcar/lennon left, Lazvezzi/buonanotte on the right

My defence doesnt seem to be the problem, as i get few goals against, but I tend to make to few goals as well ... any advice ?

All right. Been playing with this tactic now with Real Madrid for a few matches. To summarize, the defense have been rock solid. I haven't lost a game yet and I'm well into the season. Topping the Champions League group and the league. Now I know it isn't hard to win stuff with Real Madrid, but look at the goals scored/conceded. Pretty impressive! My only signing so far was Douglas Costa and he's been brilliant, despite his young age.

A few images follow:

I got lots of unpleasant injuries and suspensions on my defenders now, but hopefully it should be okay. Note how I only conceded 2 goals in La Liga so far, while scoring 24. The 6-1 win against Arsenal was quite impressive aswell.

Haven't done so much tweaking. Only some slight adjustments to the sliders for a few players, nothing major. Im using the opponent instructions mentioned in the first post and they work like a charm. I'm only conceding from corners and freekicks now pretty much! Sweet!

But i would use kranjcar or VDV as right midfielder, modric left . .

Well, i have a consistency problem on away games too, so i have to make few adjustments to opponents . . When opponent is all defence keeping me from scoring, i push more players forward, and tell them to drop so i score a penalty . . . (dirty, but works) . .

In your case, try to use Retain possesion shout, aswell as shorter passing and slower tempo . .

second year, both Hamsik and Lavezzi were transferlisted, bought both for a small 10 mil each ... had to sell some players as well no, despite i ended 4th in the PL and won the CL i'm in dept
