hei koflok,
i use your tactics and good for my team, only concede 9 goals until the boxing day in winter..
actually, i don't have any idea how to win by bigger margin, always stuck in 3-0, never get more,
hehe
do you know how to make it more aggresive?

True. I've noticed that possession-wise it's not the best. I haven't really found a setting which enables to get high possession while maintaining that high level of CCC.

Many would argue that if I play more like Barca I would be able to achieve that. The problem is that the Barca tactic is almost impossible to be applied here in FM. Most of the time people will just boast their possession with little chances. I've seen a lot of 'Barca tactics' and well for me, it has been a disappointment so far - compared to IRL where Barca holds high possession while creating massive amount of CCCs.

Back to increasing possession, you can always try to 'control'. But chances aren't gonna come that often - which I really hate. I always target around 5 CCCs minimum per game.

So yeah for me CCC > possession.

The thing that makes this tactic so effective is the fact that goal-scoring opportunities are generally created at speed (when played out wide) and then, when you defend, players are invited on to the defence and get "soaked up". This way (with the right players) it's forcing the opposition into holding the ball and attempting long-shots or going out wide. As a result you'll always tend to find that the better teams (or ones with slow/passing build-up play, like Arsenal) will hold more possession but not achieve anything with it!

Have you found a way to make strikers convert all the chances they create yet?

Using the beta in a new season with Cardiff and it's working great for me! Will post up some stuff when Jan transfer window opens.

Was wondering if anyone else has tried swapping the two inside forwards around several times during the game? Does it affect the way the AI reacts at all?

Interact with him and tell him to place his shots, improved it for me. Also give him time to settle, it's a young kid

Thanks guys for the responses, feedbacks and anticipation so far despite me not being here quite as often as usual.
I'm doing bits of stuff including the v5. It has gotten to a period where it's not about whether it will bring positive results but rather than improving it to reach 'perfection'.

Might sound too blah but I'm a perfectionist and I want it to be truly awesome before it's released.

I've playing with some tweakings and have successfully make the team plays better.
Wingbacks are more aggresive and defensively coordinated.
DMC still winning ball like crazy
Transition from MC is fluid
Playmaker-striker combo which is something new is highly effective
As usual dangerous wingers.
and of course slight improvement on the defense.

and yeah again thanks for the inputs and some of you guys PM/VM me on your tweakings. I will check that out as well.

I wouldn't release it then. Wait a while... Let 11.2 patch come, make sure it works just as well on that, then release it.

Are you supposed to use these instructions to all tactics, not just the Beta? And are these the only instruction you use? Nothing on the strikers for ex.?

I manage Man City. Season 3.

Hart - M'Bengue, Thiago Silva, Ranocchia, Azilpicueleta - Annan - Poli, Hamsik - Vucinic, Tevez, Balotelli.

I used 3satu at home all time and i think i didnt win once or twice in a season due to tevez not scoring, and he doesnt accept my suggestions about placing shots :'(

It's been really hard for me to win away (with the A tactic).. always draw or win like 2-1 against smaller teams. But against big teams like Arsenal or Barca it's always huge possession for them and i don't seem to create a lot of goal chances. I think i got beaten 3-0 by Arsenal due to 3 longshots :S.

Is there anyway to improve away performances?

I'd suggest you stop using the A tactic In my opinion it sucks Just use the 3.1 (satu)

I don't agree with you! Altho only use the away tactic against "big" opponents, as Liverpool I only really use the away tactic vs for examle United, Arsenal and Chelsea away and sometimes I try it to "close the shop"

Regarding the (A)way tactic. Probably you guys should know that it's not my main tactic.
I very rarely use it - considering I've always been an all-out-attack-whoever-the-opponent-is kind of guy, I tend to force opponent to deal with my tactic rather than the opposite. What I'm trying to say is, I didn't focus that much on testing that tactic so the result might vary - unlike the v3.1 which have been.. awesome so far

So yeah if you're having a great success with 3.1, you don't really have to use the (A) version unless you are totally the underdog (Leeds vs Barca?).

I won the Europa League with Lille in my first season with it, and French Ligue 1.

Great job, Eden Hazard and Gervinho are wonderfull with this system.

Hope it'll work again with patch 11.2.

Just finished 3rd in my first season with blackburn!!!

Immense tactic. Lost only 1 game at home all season and beat some of the top teams as well. Away is a bit more sketchy but still good enough for 4th best in the league for away records so can't complain bearing in mind the low transfer budget I had. Most of it went on kadlec who I trained to place shots so after I get a couple more coaches in my squad should improve.

I must admit to not setting the tactic to standard when away until late so next season i'm thinking it'll be better!

Ohh shiet just realized patch 11.2 comes out right around now. I thought it's gonna be Feb or something.

So I'm just gonna release v5 right about now.. Hopefully it'll do well tho.

Haven't even tested with 11.2
