Btw after some seasons i dont feel like u HAVE to put a Right footed AML and a Left footed AMR. I've been playing with Right AMR's cus i had nobody else and it seems to work fine. Might be because the winger is quite good and therefore it doesn't matter as much :p

Love it!!!! Haha, predicted draw :) The only shots they had was later on in the game at about 4-0 (my striker had a bad day even (0goals), had to sub him at about 60min)

Edit 2: Still defensive positioning match prep, quite some CCC's again in CL final vs Barca. Was the underdog ofc, everyone expected barca to win :)

Noticed some things during some matches: Good headers as CV are not optional! You need them! Your team will put alot pressure on the opponent and forcing them to just leap the ball forward, your CV's will recover possession for u if they have good heading skills. Ofcourse it helps as your CVM and CM's (CVM most important) are good at headers, but good passing/creative CM's with heading skills are hard to find.

Another reason to get tower defenders: Cus of the pressure they pump everything into your box, headers will keep m away.

Seems to me that the size DOES matter alot this year. Had "standard size" on my screenies some posts above here, put MAX now and i just won 10-0 and 0-4 altho i have to say my striker is way above my league atm ;)


ps. won my league by about 15 points at the end ;) PSV winning streak was over and i ran over 'm.
ps2. Got promotion with millwall in my first season (prediction 6th, im somewere 15/16 so teams r different ;) )

On a home game against Feyenoord i noticed some things:
If they are defending near the box its often just the wingers trying to reach the striker but like 75% of the balls bounce of defenders -> Corners
My left CM is really only distributing to Eriksen my right CM, altho my left CM has like 19 passing n **** so i could give him a little bit more freedom then i guess ;-)

Good stuff man. One of the best results I've ever seen.
Not that Ajax is a small team or anything but the win against Barca is just epic.

About the maximum pitch which is important.

About the importance of headers for midfielders.
Sorry but what is CV? Is it the Defensive Midfielder?

About the defenders needing to be good at heading. This might be essential as most goals I conceded are from crossings.

And regarding the defenders are pressured to pump ball forward. I 'fixed' that on the next update.

Btw, I'm in the 3rd season now, had a not so good start but the team is picking it up again, had some new players that maybe disturbed the morale or whatever.
My champions league group consists of AC Milan, Real Madrid and Fenerbahce, 1 game left (against Fenerbahce at home, MUST win) and currently in 3rd place, this tactic seems to be immense playing away from home, I drew 2-2 against Real Madrid away, but they only equalized in extra time, 4 minutes extra and they scored somewhere around 94:40 or something, really sad! Otherwise I would have topped the group, but there's still hope for that 2nd spot, need Real to win from Milan and we're through :) (if we win of course)

Yeah after some purchases you might want to have the match prep on teamwork so that the gelling can be faster and stuff.

First of all great job with the formation.Secondly,the particular example you mention with Downing and Walcott i think you can use them.Walcott's natural position in the game is striker and not winger.So can't we use Downing as a left winger with support duty and Walcott as a right inside forward.I am talking not only about those two but in general too or you think it won't have good results.

That probably needs to be updated.

I used Lavezzi and Pandev who are right and left footed respectively and it works okay.
I think as long as they are striker who plays on winger, the non-opposite foot rule might work.
But you will need good midfielders as the wingers will act more as scorers rather than passer.

I dont know why people keep asking when they test it out themselves..
 
Sorry CV is dutch for a central defender (DC) (Centrale Verdediger in dutch ;) ) !

So the DC / DCM should have heading stats ( my DCM doesnt, but i think it would help alot :) )

Also i think Defending Positioning as Match Prep. is alot more stable (less goals against, had a streak of 7 games without goals against in the league) -> You should be able to rely on your STRONG attack ( Striker is SOOOOOOOOO important in this tac)

fist game with this tactic i lost 0-1 to nürberg.
second game was champions league against shaktar.
I changed my striker 2 quintero and placed sturridge to AMR instead of torje.

Thanks so much. Such an amazing tactic. Have lost only 1 match thus far this season. And that too after forgetting to rest my players after a massive 2-1 League Cup Quarter Finals win at Anfield and that too coming back after being 1 goal down. What is so amazing about this tactic is that almost every time Vidic scores a goal. He has like 13 goals in 15 league appearances.
 
Sorry forgot to mention that Vidic scores almost a goal a match from corners and not from open play. Hernandez is a beast. The problem is that I got Rooney on the right just behind Hernandez.
 
For some reason my DC didnt score as much from corners as the first 2 seasons with this tac. From about 15-20 a season to 5

Click the player, go to interact -> Train favourite move ( or something like that, i play in dutch so dont know what it says in english ;) )
