Three games this month and an undefeated record with a 3-0-0 to give them a five point cushion in the league. Of the eight goals in league play score this month five of them were in just one game. For the Cup games it was good, but not pretty. Again they would need extra time and then a penalty shootout for one of them. “I think we are fine in the league. We just need to start working on the Cup play. When we are heavy favorites we should play like it. Not just let the other team in it cause we think if we just take a shot on goal it will go in. Still proud we are going to the finals though in both cups.” said the coach after an impressive 5-0-0 overall month.

Wroughton as all but sealed up first place in the Wiltshire League Premier Division. At least one tie in the last three games and they will clinch first. Another good month for Wroughton as they went undefeated this month with a 3-0-0 record. The goals are slowing down without team leader Shamu being injured. Still just four goals this month, but more impressively is the three shutouts they had.

They would only need a tie in their last three games to win the league. They wouldn’t settle just for that as they would go undefeated and would cruise to champions. People though it would be easy sailing to promotion. They would get promotion, but it wasn’t as easy as people though especially with the final going to another shootout. At least Michael Gary knows his team comes through in shootouts as they are undefeated.

Every game got an income of at least $12,000 . They were all foreign teams as well which looked to give the team some different formations and pace. They fair pretty well too as they finished with an 8-2-2 record. They were only held scoreless in one game, which they tied, but did manage to score 30 goals in pre-season and only gave up 9. It looks as if the strikers are all set for the team especially with the signing on one of them to keep him on the team.

Douglas took over the leading goal scorer in pre-season (8 goals) and was being looked at for other teams. Coach Ryan already losing one striker to injury didn’t want to let one get away so he offered a contract to keep him put.

Very good first year (I don‘t like to schedule any friendlies the first year. I have no idea why) in profits. Already made the profit from last year with the first two games of pre-season. Looks like a big year and will need it once we turn professional in a couple of years.

This might hurt them a bit. Luckily they do have six strikers who can play, but preferable coach Gary likes to use four of them. Some are getting old, but still should be fine until he gets back. Still was a starter for the team and did do well in pre-season before getting injured (leading goal scorer through three games with four goals)

Okay so they got promotion under first year coach in Michael Gary. It would come to a shocker for the whole world, or well the people who didn’t know the coach. With that the new board under Fred Harper decided it would be a good time to turn Semi-Professional. Coach Gary didn’t mind cause he knew that he would be getting a real soccer job.

That’s right with the announcement of turning semi-professional Fred Harper came with a sheet of paper to Michael Gary. He would sign in without a pause as he would now be making money coaching this team. Sure he could go back in the states and make that much a week making happy meals to people, but he is doing a job he loves. Its for a three year contract, but with the odds of them getting promoted this year as well most people think he will be offered a new contract in a year or so. In any case they are not letting go of their most popular coach they had in their short existence and will keep him on the team for at least three more years.

Scored as many goals as they gave up which was 6, and still holds on to first. They are however out of one tournament, Hellenic Cup, in which they would finally lose a shootout. Still are in the FA Vase though which took two games for them to past the first round in.

Move from first to third this month, but are just one point out of first with one less game. Still doing good despite having a 1-0-2 record last month. They did go good in the tournaments which is giving them some money, but luckily for the league its been a rough month for all top teams. Coach Gary is now having to deal with people who are not settling in with the club and has been giving them rest and also injuries to their main scorers. Luckily all strikers are healthy going into the new month.

Wroughton finished off the last month of the calendar year with a 2-0-1 record in league play. While they have more losses on the year than most teams (5) they are still in first place by two points. It usually is a win or lost for this team as they only have 3 ties which is the lowest in the league. While they did outscore their opponents this month (5-3) they did get knocked out of another tournament. This time coming at the hands of FA Vase in which they had the lead early in a game, but a controversial red card would cost them the game. Coach Gary would appeal it and win it, but it still wouldn’t of matter since they are now out of their second tournament of the year.

Coach Gary would finally get all of his team back healthy for this month and it showed why they were favorites to win the league as they posted a clean sheet for all three games and had a perfect record of 3-0-0 with 7 goals scored. It now pushes the lead to five points and looks that when everyone is healthy this is the team to beat. Can they stay healthy for the rest of the year though?

Posting a 1-1-0 record is still fine in league play this month as they still hold first and promotion. They did get cheated out of a goal for the tie which should of made it nine point lead in the league, but they will be happy with six points heading into the final month. Again for the second straight year coach Gary has made the finals in at least one cup and looks to be back-to-back winners in the Wiltshire Cup.

Coach Ryan didn't want to show his regular starters at all this pre-season. Not just starting, but they didn't make an appearance as a sub either. They only had six games and the coach said he wanted to see how his bench players did. If they didn't perform he said is willing to let go of the dead wood. With those six games his team failed to win one, and manage to only score three goals (1 goal in 3 games). It looks as if there aren't too much people who will be around from the reserves, but some did look like they will be good as subs. Most of the games were blowouts and the closest they lost was by 2 in two games.

Harris looks to be a reserve to backup player. With the injuries though last year at the back line it looks as if he could be playing a lot though this year. However the best signing and probably player in tier 9 is now Zschusschen who looks to dominate the league and everyone has him pegged to win the top goal scorer plus help the team gain promotion.

Very good month as Wroughton is fighting for first place right off the bat in the league. Only one of five teams that hasn’t played four games and if they at least get a tie will be in tie for first place. With the new singings for the offensive side of the ball it would be a goal breakout for 9 goals this month while only giving up 4 goals in three games. Plus they got a little lucky in the FA Cup as they would pull out a extra time victory of the second game in the round. Coach Gary has this team in a great position and despite two injuries, starters, at the end of the month will show how good this team will be this year by how they play next month.

Yeah I am very good at keeping my finances in check. Or at least until I get to the EPL then I get a little excited and overboard and disregard my finances then. Yes Zschussen is amazing, and honestly don't know how I even got him, but even though he is top down the best player in the league he actually sets up a lot more people for goals instead of him scoring.

Again another game that had to take two legs to complete. First year it was all about shootout wins for this team. Now it looks as if second leg games is the way to go for this team to win.

While the second month was the month for league games, Wroughton decided to play the least since they were having trouble in the FA Cup again. They are still in first place, although they are listed in second place as they have played two less games. The injuries looked to not slow down this team until the last game of the month as they would tie to keep the undefeated record in tack. This month they were 3-1-0 and scored 8 goals while only giving up 3 goals. They didn’t score as much as the opening month, but did give up one less.
