With the season winding down it looks as if Coach Gary has his team primed for another finish in first place that will earn another promotion. While they should of went perfect this month with just only 3 games they did go 2-1-0 with only allowing 2 goals this month. They did post a 4-0 win which helped them cruise to 7 goals in just three games, but the team is getting back to fully being healthy which looks to be needed to make sure their six point lead over second is suffice.

Two major injuries hit this team this month which instead of given them a perfect record this month would falter a little bit with just a 2-0-2 record this month. Despite a red card in a game that cost them one of the losses they still are in first place with a seven point lead with every team playing the same amount of games for the first time all year. Monthly losses didn’t help out, but for all the people they easily cruised again to first and look to be able to earn promotion for at least the next two years. Paris and Dos Santos come in cheap while after a year and a half of talks Wroughton finally brings in their goalkeeper they wanted in Ward. He wasn’t cheap either as he is the second player on the team who is making over $1,000 for wages a week. All three will be starters which already took a title contention team suppose to be in the running for promotion with two other teams and now made them the sole contenders this year.

It looked as if training would be all they needed so far since they started off with a blast with a 3-1-0 record. Two of the games were underdogs, since they were on the road, and they would sneak out one win and would tie the other. Not a bad way to kick off the year, in second place, and scored 9 goals to only conceding 1 goal.

Again another four game month in league play and again they had three wins. Instead of another tie they would lose their first game which now puts them into third place. Easily should of won all four games but they lost their starting goalie, Ward, to international play which meant Seddon had to play and looked a little shaky in this league. Seddon who doesn’t look to be in his element in this year’s league did get a contract finally by Wroughton. He was being heavily pursuit by a lot of teams, but after helping this team earn promotion the last two years he decided to stick it out with Wroughton. While its not the best ideal for them to sign him to a contract they had to do it because he is better than any other options the team has and at least he knows the team and has been good for them.

Looked as if Wroughton would cruise to a victory in this game with a 1-0 lead at half and haven’t lost a game in over a year and a half when winning at half. Still a miss call on the attacking end for Wroughton and then a bad call on the defensive end would give Farnborough the lead and game. Still coach Gary wasn’t upset as he knows that with missing five starters in this game and with a long season ahead he has other priories.

In what could have been the month where Wroughton would move in first wouldn’t go to plans. Some fans were saying there was a stumbling block for this team, but the coach summed it up perfectly with, “We fell into a sink hole. Came out of nowhere and we couldn’t regain or footing.” Another game where both players would be called back to international squad, but then the injuries would strike and strike hard and fast. One game they lost both starting wingbacks and then their number one backup for that spot. Another game it took only 12 minutes to lose their top two strikers. All in all eight starters went down this month and five are still injured going into the new year. With all of that they still managed to win three games as they ended the eight game month with a 3-1-4 record. With all the injuries we expected to get outscored. It would be true but closer than most people though as Wroughton only scored 13 goals and allowed just one more at 14.

Everyone knew this was going to be a blow out. Coach Gary knew this, people back in the states who don’t watch football knew this, people out in space working on the satellites knew this. Coach Gary knew it was going to be ugly, but did people think 49 shots by Blackburn would be in the cards? At the end of the beat down Wroughton did do well as they scored a goal on just their two shots.

Most fans of Wroughton saw this month as the bad or just plain ugly. Coach Gary thinks so as well but there was a good in it despite all the bad. Yes coach Gary likes to reference movies if you couldn’t tell to show his American side of him. First for the bad. While scoring a league high 47 goals on the year they now have conceded that same amount., For the ugly they only won one game this month for a record of 1-0-5 and for the first time all year have a losing record. For the good that coach Gary was talking about they are still only five points away from first despite being in sixth place. Also most of the injuries are getting back to full healthy so its looking if they can get back to the way they started the year they can get back on track. They did manage to score 7 goals despite giving up an amazing 18 goals and that’s not including the 14 that came in the FA Cup.

Thanks, finally starting to hit a rough patch due to injuries and a bunch of losses now it seems so its going to be very interesting here in a next year or so if I can keep earning promotion.
Yes I do. While its not for the national team it is for the under 20's or so club. Still counts for international.
Right now its my Goalie Danial Ward who is 20 is playing for Wales under 21 team. Then midfielder James Paris (21 years old) is playing for under 21 Malta. Yeah I know it surprised me when I saw 2 traveling under player names earlier in the year. Ward has been playing horrible of late and it started to happen since he came back from international duty as well so I don't know if that had to do with something.
Its been five years and no one has been interested in the man who has taken Wroughton from nowhere to, well...no where still, but has gotten them to jump up the ranks in lower division. His biggest achievement is that he got his squad to become semi-professional and has been keeping their money in the black. That would all about to change this year as the first suitor for coach Gary's services came calling last month. It wouldn't be a Blue South League or just a team division above. It would actually be a Coca Cola league 1 team in Wycombe. There wasn't even a rumor about coach Gary leaving Wroughton, let alone any team giving him an offer.
Wycombe board believes that coach Gary has done wonderful things with his team. "After four straight promotions there is more than luck for coach Gary. He does possess the skills to be a manager at the high level in the England level. While its impossible right now to get Wroughton to the EPL with their board and money we are a stepping stone for him. We know he wouldn't finish his career with us or probably stay that long if he continues to do what he does with our club. While the offer was on the table on the 11th of last month coach Gary hasn't made any public announcement yet its been over three weeks and rumor had it he declined it the first hour they offered it behind close doors. If true this is only good things for coach Gary. His stock is now rising and if he can get the end table offer from a League 1 team what will happen in the next couple of years if he can keep earning promotion. All 105 fans of Wroughton were scared about their savior possible leaving, but are happy to have him back...at least for now.

To start this month everyone but one person (a sub normally) was healthy. Some starters weren’t in match fitness, but they would get back on track this month as they would be undefeated. Going 5-1-0 this month is a joy to this team compared to the last two months. Still at the end of the month they would lose both wingbacks in the same game, twice now that has happened this year, and one is now out for what looks to be the rest of the year. Still this team is the highest offensive power team in the league as they got back on track as they outscored their opponents 8-2.

With just two months left, or well now heading into the final month, this needed to be a big month. Call it lucky, right place at right time, great coaching, just playing league games now, or getting some breaks but whatever you call it you have to expect Wroughton to earn promotion. Righting for the top spot coming into this month they didn’t play a team that was in the top 10 in the standings. Half of there games seemed to have at least one red card in it which never was on Wroughton. Five games this month and a perfect 5-0-0 to push them into first place with an eight point lead. While only allowing 3 goals they did pour on the scoring, mostly due to fewer men on the pitch, as they scored 13 goals this month.

Didn't need to much to finish off the year in promotion and with the teams chasing faltering this month as well it was smooth sailing for this team as another season comes to an end and coach Gary winning the coach of the year and his team finishing in first with the promotion.

All we know is that Millwall has approached the coach with an offer for three years. The offer was set at 1,100 but coach Gary didn't give it much thought when a League 1 team came knocking. The last known fact we know about this is that coach Gary asked for more money as their coach since he didn't think it was a serious offer. This is where the rumors started to fly. Some are saying that its exactly what the coach asked for while others say its just a couple hundred dollars shy of what he wanted. Coach Gary didn't sound like he was into the whole money thing since he started coach Wroughton for free, but again these are all rumors and he is one of the hottest rising coaches in the English leagues.
Another rumor is that this deal is already signed cause the coach asked Wroughton's board to add more seats to the stadium for more income for the team. Also wanted a better youth facility and training grounds. Apparently those idea's were shot down and after hearing this the board of Millwall has already stated if he takes the job they will do this for him. With that they already had the construction team out clearing ground which add's fuel to this fire. Newspapers all across England have said this is a done deal with hearing that coach Gary will have a press conference later tonight. Wroughton supposedly has a budget of only $35,000 next year compared to $150,000 to what Millwall is offering.
