I could only find teams that wasnt Lincoln City and you better make sure the manager is sacked.

That sounds incredibly weird. I've never heard anything like that. Has anyone else who has downloaded the file had any issues like this? I can only recommend downloading the file again and seeing if that fixes the problem.

I can get rid of the current manager. That is not a problem. If you have someone that you want to bring in then PM me who that is and if they are currently at a club then you will need to work out the compensation for his contract.

How many are you looking for before this begins?

Ok thanks

I could possibly start the chairman game when i finish my first season with the ingame editor though if possible

I feel as though there are enough people involved already to get it started. If people want to join later in the game then they can do. I am going to pick a team for myself and get a post up today.

New Investment in Sky Bet League Two

A host of new chairmen have been introduced to the fourth division of League Two. With so many clubs down there that are looking to climb up the leagues, it will be a major challenge for all of these clubs to succeed. At the moment there are 7 clubs that have welcomed new chairmen and their are plenty of other clubs available if other people are interested.

I have personally chosen Coventry to be my club and I hope to solve their problems and take them back to the top division. I will get my takeover post up later today but everyone else can feel to get theirs up whenever they can. This is my plan for running the game. If you feel it could be improved by some changes then let me know.

Saturday - Summer transfer window
Sunday - Summer transfer window (Close at 8pm)
Monday - posts for the summer transfer window
Tuesday - First half of the season update from me (Hopefully around 8pm but could be later)
Wednesday -January transfer window (Close at 8pm)
Thursday - Post for first half of the season and transfer window
Friday - End of season update from me (Hopefully around 8pm but could be later)

So we are now running with the first transfer window until 8pm tomorrow night yea?

Changes at Cambridge

Today sees a big day at Cambridge United. A local business man and long term fan of the club has taken control of the club that he loves. We caught up with the man who will be leading the club from now on:

Interviewer: First of all congratulations Nath, and thank you for taking time out of what I imagine is a very busy time for you. So tell us, why now? and why Cambridge?

Nath: Thank you very much, I cannot wait to begin my time here. Why now? Well I have always loved football and Cambridge in particular, I have finally worked hard enough and earnt enough money to be able to take control of the club that I love and take them to the next level. As for why Cambridge well as I say I have supported them my whole life, I grew up only a few miles away from the stadium and have been a season ticket holder since I was 12. What better club to control than the one you love?

Interviewer: Thats great, with no experience of the football business how do you think youll get on?

Nath: I may not have experience in the football business but my own business is thriving and I certainly know how to run a company. I have the best interest of the club in my heart and so will be doing everything I can to make this a successful new time for us. If i cannot do something I will hire a specialist to help me with those parts. There is nothing I will not do to make this club successful.

Interviewer: Okay and what will your first job be when you get into the boardroom?

Nath: We currently do not have a first team manager at the club, so with the transfer window being open I would like to get this sorted quickly so me and who ever we decided can get started on hopefully improving the playing squad with a few new faces. There is alot of work to do and I am hoping to hit the ground running. I already have a few names at hand and just need to get on the phone and see if we can convince them to join the revolution here at Cambridge.

Interviewer: Thank you very much for your time Nath, and good luck.

Only time will tell how Nath and Cambridge will fair in the future but one thing is for sure this is a very exciting time for Cambridge fans.

This morning it was announced at The Energy Check County Ground that chairman Lee Power has sold Swindon Town to a consortium led by the new face of the club, Daniel Porter. A new era at the club is beginning, with the intention of finally making the way back to through the leagues and away from the basement of the Football League.

In a surprise double announcement, Mr Porter also announced that they had chosen to fill the vacant manager's position with ex-England international Paul Ince. As part of an earlier prepared statement, Mr Porter told us that "Paul had a fantastic playing career, and has experience managing at the lower end of the leagues with clubs such as MK Dons & Macclesfield. We at the club believe that his passion for football, and the desire to reprove himself can only be beneficial for such an ambitious side such as ourselves."

" Myself and the board support the BAME initiative, and believe that our hiring of Paul show's that the club is willing to provide opportunities for all. We will always look for the best candidate available, and this case, we believe that the knowledge, desire and high profile of Paul will allow us to progress through the leagues, and to bring in a standard of player previously deemed unavailable to us."

"Collectively the board and the manager have agreed that we wish to progress by signing and developing young players that will grow and develop alongside each other and the manager. Paul understands that the board will be signing the majority of players for the squad, however there will be consultation with the manager to ensure that his needs are catered for. We look forward to this oncoming season, and hope to bring success to the club, and most importantly to the fans. COME ON THE ROBINS!"

Current Transfer List:
GK Stuart Moore - £45k - SOLD
CB Chris Robertson - £75k
DM Amine Linganzi - £100k
ST Marc Richards - Free

Exciting day for Cambridge fans gets better!

We reported earlier today that Nath Walker had completed the takeover of Cambridge United. And we must say he must have been working extremely hard behind the scenes to put into place a number of changes into place.
When Nath took over the club there was no manager in charge, he worked quickly to bring in now manager to work with an already strong playing squad but he has also brought in 7 new faces to improve this further.

Leeds-boss-Thomas-Christiansen-818909.jpg

Thomas Christiansen is the man who has been brought in to take the club forward.
Nath: We decided Thomas was the right man for the job he has had success in most of his previous jobs and plays a style of football I both enjoy to watch and believes suits the players we have at the club best. I am really looking forward to working with him and hope to have him alongside me for many years to come. We have worked hard together in terms of signings and have made a few moves in the window which I would like to announce next.

7 new faces at Cambridge, The U's have today announced the signing of 7 new players to strengthen their team. Denilson, Zeca, Roman Eremenko, Alfie Jones, Matt O'Reilly, Sergio Gomes and Stuart Moore.
Nath: Me and Thomas are very happy to announce the signings of these 7 guys to the first team. We believe all of them will improve the team in one way or another. Most will fit into the first team as starters and some will play a key role as rotation so we can fight on all fronts this year. Some of these players might be relatively unknown to the general public but I promise the fans that they will be happy with these guys and they will all come through and prove to be good players for the club. Thank you for your time. I have to get back to business.

Today, Swindon Town announce the incoming signings of 6 players, with departure from the side.

Firstly, Goalkeeper Stuart Moore has left the club to sign for Cambridge United. Though a talented player with plenty of potential, he would have clearly been 3rd choice behind Lawrence Vigouroux & Reice Charles-Cook. With that in mind, we have decided to allow him to make a permanent move, with the hope that this early piece of transfer business can create a positive working partnership with Cambridge owner Nath Walker.

Now for the arrivals:

Taye Taiwo
The ex-Marseille left back joins on a free transfer to push for the starting role in the side, challenging with on loan Chris Hussey.

David Faupala
Another free transfer, the 20 year old Frenchman previously of Manchester City should prove to be too good for this division, and the hope is that he will score the goals to take us up to League 1.
View attachment 39282

Bruno Andrade
A favoured player of owner Daniel Porter, right midfielder Andrade signs from Boreham Wood to add depth to a position which is mainly covered by loan signings.
View attachment 39280

Andy Murdoch
Not wanting to stick to the English leagues alone, Swindon have signed Central Midfielder Murdoch from Morton. The 22 year old is a good in both the the centre midfield and more defensive positions, to hopefully shore up the side.
View attachment 39281

Kerr Waddell
A 2nd signing from Scotland, this time from Premiership side Dundee. Waddell is a young centre back who will grow and progress in line with the clubs desire to promote youth.

Lewis Vaughan
Last but not least, Vaughan signs from Raith. At £150k, he is the clubs most expensive signing of the window, and also the player that the club is most excited to sign. Capable of playing up top and on the left wing, he is another valuable addition to this strong Swindon side.

This will most likely be the end of the inbound signings for the club, unless we receive strong bids for our better players and need to replace.

Colchester Takeover

Takeover At Colchester United

A consortium put together by local businessman, Chris Leigh, have today completed the purchase of Colchester United football club. Leigh is not said to be a Colchester fan, but mentioned that he was looking for a club in the lower leagues with a good stadium, good facilities, plenty of potential and a half decent fan base and that the The U's fit the bill perfectly!

Leigh and his consortium are said to have forked out over £2 million to purchase the club and the new chairman has confirmed that there will be changes to help take his new team forward. "I've put half a million aside for new transfers as we look to bolster the squad for the upcoming season and I'll be reviewing the current manager situation too. I'm not promising we'll be replacing current boss, John McGreal, but we do need to have a sit down and see if we're on the same page."

When asked what the short and long term plans were for Colchester, Leigh replied "Well, I have a 2 year and 5 year plan....I think we need to be looking at a minimum of playoffs this season and certainly think we should be promoted within 2 seasons. Within 5 years, I want this team playing Championship football! I think both targets are realistic goals for a club of this size and I look forward to the journey ahead."

Leigh gave a good account of himself at the press conference, and Colchester fans are said to be in favour of the new appointment with a new sense of excitement around the club as we approach the new League Two campaign.

BCFC1 I will check if the Lincoln job is available, once i finish my first season.
I just splashed a £120million transfer on Eden Hazard.

Just a reminder for everyone that the transfer window closes in just 2 hours. I have got transfers from everyone except the Lincoln and the Luton chairmen. Make sure you get your transfers in before the 8pm deadline.

Mid Season Update

Sorry for the late update but the editing took me much longer than I thought it would. Anyway onto the review of the first half of the season.

August

View attachment 38832

It is still very early days but there has been a very strong start for some teams as Colchester sit top with Lincoln 2nd. We also have Coventry and Port Vale in the play off positions.

September

View attachment 38831

We are starting to dominate this league as the top 4 are all chairman teams. Swindon and Luton are sitting in midtable while Cambridge are just 1 point out of the play off positions.

October

View attachment 38830

Exeter have broken our stronghold on the top of the league but all 7 of us are doing very well. The lowest placed team is currently Swindon who are 10th and just 2 points from the play off places. Coventry and Lincoln are starting to break away from the rest of the group at the top though.

November

View attachment 38829

Swindon have definitely done well as they go from being the lowest placed team to 4th best and just 2 points from the automatic promotion places. There are only 4 places to get promoted this season so at least 3 of us will be left in League 2 for another year. In terms of progressing, I think Coventry look like the clear favourites at the moment.

December

View attachment 38828

Coventry have had a pretty poor month and everyone has started to catch them up. The top 5 are now all chairman teams with the only 2 that are not up there being Luton(9th) and Cambridge(14th). It will be a hard task for Cambridge to get promoted but there are still 21 games to go so there is plenty of time to do it.

January Window

The January transfer window is now open. It will stay open until 8pm tomorrow. Most of us have used a lot of our slots for transfers but the number of C2C transfers are unlimited so if feel the need to bring in some new players then you may need to speak to some of the other chairmen.

I will follow this post with another that will show everyones balances and also have the saved file.

Save File

http://www.mediafire.com/file/lp1lh76thowht5t/League+Two+Chairman+Game.fm

Balances

Coventry - (-£2.1mil)
Swindon - (£950k)
Lincoln - (£1.7mil)
Port Vale - (-£70k)
Colchester - (-£640k)
Luton - (£90k)
Cambridge - (-£1mil)

If your balance is negative then you can not spend any money on transfers. Only loans and free transfers will be possible. If you want to spend money on transfers then you will need to sell first to get back into the positive.

Think we are all going to struggle to keep out of the negative. Will say though, how good have my lot been, 2nd bottom to 2nd in the table, the Guv'nor is working miracles!
