LIVERPOOL RECIEVE INJURY BLOW
THE ECHO

Liverpool's star right back Glen Johnson is out for at least 3 months after sustaining a torn calf muscle.
"I'm gutted," Edwards said, "Absolutely gutted, hopefully we can get by. Looks like Jamie Carragher will have to fill in at right back."

Ouch. Hopefully Carragher will be good enough.

LIVERPOOL DRAW MONACO IN EUROPA LEAGUE 1ST ROUND KNOCKOUT

Well the headline explains what I was going to say really. If I win that match, then in the second round I will be against either Marseille or Newcastle.
Next update in a min :)

DECEMBER REVIEW:

Well it's been a very busy fixture list as always in December, here's how I got on...

Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool (Stanislas)
Rafa Benitez faced his old club today, however he failed to make an impact against The Reds.

M. Netanya 0-3 Liverpool (Torres 2 (1 pen), Gerrard)
Liverpool kept up there 100% record in the group stage with a dominant 3-0 victory against M. Netanya. This was the resut that put them through to the 1st knockout round.

Liverpool 1-0 Bristol City (Kuyt)
A little dissapointed with this match, we dominated all game but had to wait untill the 75th minute to see a Liverpool player hit the back of the net.

Ipswich 1-3 Liverpool (Welliton 2, Torres)
A good result, we were always expected to win, but it's still nice to win 3-1 away.

Liverpool 4-0 Eskisehirspor (Torres 3, Babel)
Torres scoring a hat-trick and Babel scoring one composing a 4-0 victory over the little known team.

Liverpool 4-2 West Ham (Gerrard, Kyrgiakos, Babel, Welliton)
A brilliant win, the highlight of the match being a lovely 25 yard fee kick from Kyrgiakos. Of all people eh?

Liverpool 2-0 West Brom (Welliton, Skrtel)
Decent result, Skrtel scoring a powerful header from a corner, which I do believe is our first goal from a corner this season.

Fulham 2-1 Liverpool (Torres)
A disastrous match, being reduced to 10 men at the end as I'd used up all my subs and Agger got injured. Torres' late goal was the only consolation. Whoever said losing your first league game of the season is hard to cope with is darn right.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH:
Fernando Torres, with a rating of 7.70 over 5 games. Close contenders were Welliton and Ryan Babel.

MATCH OF THE MONTH:
LIVERPOOL 4-2 WEST HAM, a very good match, proving that we can score a lot of goals.

GOAL OF THE MONTH:
Kyriakos's 25 yard free-kick vs. West ham was amazing.

LEAGUE POSITION:
2nd with a game in hand over Man Utd.

Any feedback would be appreciated, ta ;)

LIVERPOOL RIVAL MATCH

Liverpool will be facing fierce rivals Man Utd at Anfield tomorrow on New Year's day.
"It's a must win game," said Edwards, "If we manage to win, then we go top of the league, and on top of that we will still have a game in hand. If we draw then Man Utd will stay top, however if we win our game in hand then we go top. If we lose, then regardless of the result of our game in hand, we will stay second."

LIVERPOOL TRANSFER LATEST.

Liverpool have sold unwanted left back Andrea Dossena to Championship side Leeds. Dossena never played a senior game under Edwards, and was left stranded in the reserves for all of Edwards' stay.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have completed the signing of French prodigy, Mamadou Sakho. The centre back was signed on £0 up front, and £20m over 48 months.
"He's a great player," stated Liverpool boss Lewis Edwards, "A fantastic centre back with a huge futre ahead of him."
In other news, Alberto Aquialini, another man stranded in the reserves has been offered to various clubs including Catania, Toulouse, Leveurkusen, Werder Bremen and CSKA Moscow. It is thought that Catania are favourites to sign him.

Sakho, recently signed for Liverpool

Ouch. £20m to pay over the next 48 months. Don't be surprised if that comes back to haunt you.
Good signing though.

I know especially because I'm in debt but when Agger wants to leave and he has the coach report as of below, I couldn't resist!

I tell you what, I'm playing this January month and I've got some VERY inconsistent form going on :S

LIVERPOOL SELL AQUILANI

Liverpool have sold out of favour Ablerto Aquilani to Catania for a fee of £3m. Roma have been given £150'000 as part of the deal

£3M!! :O Surely you could of got £10m? :(

£3M!! :O Surely you could of got £10m? :(

Don't forget I'm 4 seasons in. He's a dried up player, never making a senior apperance for me. I offered £4m but no-one wanted him for that much.

TAKEOVER COMPLETE

It's official, Liverpool have got a new owner, replacing Tom Hicks.
"It was a shock to me," stated Edwards, "I knew they had been talking of a possible takeover, but it was very quiet. No transfer embargos were in place which was strange."
