Liverpool F.C. The 5 Year Plan.

Great move to get him signed up,
Is carragher in fm this year? Could bring him back aswell

Great history! I hope you continue beyond the five years oh and sorry for the english:P

Amazing mate! If you do that title it will be something else!

We're in flying form so this is our best chance in a long time. I'm also fired up for it since I want to deliver that Premier League medal to Gerrard. I was content to try build and fight for it this season but I might as well strike while the iron is hot!

Going 13 games unbeaten is really impressive! I am 100% with you that the League should be your main aim right now especially now that Gerrard has decided to end his playing career. I certainly hope that you will be giving him a coaching position after his career though as I can't imagine Liverpool without Gerrard involved somehow. Too bad about Dominici looks like Fiorentina sees the same potential in him as you do.

Aye, Gutter about Dominici, but If i win the title, he'll get a winners medal and there's a good chance Liverpool will be added to his favorite clubs. If I stike up a good relationship, he may force a move away when he goes back to Florence and I... accidentally tell a reporter we're looking to sign him! :P

Your swansea game has exeter stats. Thought you should know ;) otherwise a top quality story best of luck for the league

Whoops. :P I'll let ye use yer imaginations ... yeah, that's what I'll do. Nothing to do with me being lazy at all.

Love this story! Check FM Base every couple of days mostly for updates on this. The amount of detail you offer is what makes it unique and enjoyable! Keep it up and get that title!

Cheers my friedns. The support means a lot to me.

Great history! I hope you continue beyond the five years oh and sorry for the english:P

Cheers mate. You're English is fine. No need for the apology! Thanks for following.

Great signing in carragher lol
Looking to sign stones?

Looking to sign stones?

Aye, He wen't to City last year in a £14.25M move but If they finish outside the Champions League spots, I may be able to pry him away. He may be an Evertonian but hey, so was Carrager and look at how he turned out.

Stones is by nature a ball playing Defender adn that's exactly what I like in the CBs. I like my attacks to start at the back and have a Total-Football philosophy where everyone contributes to creating goals. I want my CB's distributing good balls throughout the Midfield so good passing is essential for that (Stones's passing is 15)

Sturridge grabbing 2 goals in a game we dominated. Alway nice to see Flanno' getting
just rewards for his hard work. He's easily become my first choice RB and he's been in
flying form this season.

Sturrige bring his goal tally this moth to 5 in 2 games. He's a striker in a rich vein of form right now.
I gave a start to young Tim Clifford and he looked solid in Midfield; contributing an assist.

7 goals in 3 games... The boy is channeling Ian Rush I tell you!!! A solid away win in Europe.

8 in 4 games now. I don't know what they're feeding him at Melwood but long may it continue.
We let this tie slip though. We controlled the game but Arsenal grew into the game. Still, a
replay at Anfield awaits us.

I didn't make any substitutes in the this game since I was trying to keep me strongest
team fit for the Busy fixture list. We play a lot of top team one after another with little
time to rest.

Sturridge's now on 10 goals in 5 games. We absolutely humiliated Chelsea at Anfield.
The home ground is starting to feel like a fortress again and you can see teams shaking
in the tunnel before the game.

Sterling was a casualty to this game though and will be sorely missed.

11 goals in 6 games... The boy now leads the clubs scoring charts with 26 goals in 33 game
Goals: 18 league, 3 cup & 5 European.

Coutinho and Isco both battled for the match ball today but this front four of Isco, Coutinho,
Sturridge and Sterling is quickly becoming the things of premier league legend.

I still can't quite believe that we are sitting 6 points clear at the top of the table
but this is where it gets difficult. The fixture list was kind to us int he first half of
the season but we still have to play Manchester United (29/3/2017), Manchester City (8/4/)
Arsenal (22/4/): All of which are away fixtures.

Though it has to be said that we are now 20 games unbeaten in all competitions.

Despite our only league losses this season coming at home to Arsenal and Stoke,
no one can deny that Anfield has become something of a fortress of the Mersyside
club this season. In the 22 games played at the stadium this season, the Reds have
won 19, scoring 60 goals (2.7 per game) and are yet to concede more than 1 a game
at home. This form has seen them go top of the Barclay's Premier League by 6 pts.

Impressive home games so far this season.

Traditionally, The Europa League is seen as a distraction and not paid much attention
to by the majority of Football fans. This is certainly not the case tonight as A.S. Roma
host Liverpool in the Second Round 1st leg.

With both teams leading their respective leagues, it's come as no surprise that
this is the fixture that everyone in Europe is watching. Roma have only conceded 16
goals in league fixtures while Liverpool have scored 64. These are two teams with
completely contrasting styles and no one is prepared to call this one.

Unusual for the UEFA Europa League, this tie is littered with household names.
Fantastic players at the top of their games who's name are more commonly graced
by the Champions League.

Roma:
Alessandro Florenzi, Kevin Gameiro, Mirlem Pjanic, Juan Iturbe, Edin Dzeko
Fernando Llotente, Filipe Luís, Daniele De Rossi, Adem Ljajic, Shkodran Mustafi

Roma have amassed quite an impressive team, to name but a few names!

Well even if you dont win the league, you have at least given Gerrard one last Domestic Honor as a player

I genuinly got nervous when I saw the Roma team Sheet. I felt this could have been
our biggest challenge so far this season since they have the one thing this Liverpool
team struggles with: Height.

View attachment 318625
On;y 3 of Roma's starting XI are under 6 foot: Ljajic and Pjanic being 5'11".
Crosses into the box and and set play were going to be an absolute nightmare
for me to deal with tonight.

Despite a 5th round FA Cup tie against Chelsea only 3 days later, I had to pick my
strongest line up since this was the away leg. I needed to make a strong showing
since I could afford to field a weaker line up at Anfield.

The game kicked off and we were behind after 3 minutes. Our Defense made a slow
start to the game and failed to pick up the Roma man 6 yards out.

Things went from bad to worse when Fannagan's pass was hit woefully short, Destro, credit to him, anticipated the situation, pressured Shawcross into loosing the ball and shot to the left of the rooted Khune.

2-0 and only 30 minutes on the clock, this could have turned into an utterly forgettable
night but Daniel Sturridge had other ideas. On the stroke of half time, he latched onto Isco's
pass and slotted the ball into the top right corner of the goal.

Half Time

I walked into the dressing room. 45 minutes had pasted and we were behind
2-1 on the night. It would have been easy to go in there shouting. To vent
my frustrations on them but that would have meant admitting defeat.

I knew just how good these guy were. Each and every one of them have
played out of their skins this season. Laying down marker after marker.

"We put 5 past Arsenal. 5 past Chelsea. you put 4
past united. **** you did that twice in one week. . ."

"What is a one goal lead really? And since when did
we fear being behind. The team that scores more
is never behind and by Christ boys, they've only
put two past us!"

""You've got one Daniel (Sturridge), go out there and get another.
Go on, get a get a hat-trick for the laugh. It's not exactly
difficult right now for us."

"Ryan (Shawcross), Benedikt (Howedes)! Keep you cool.
Khume's unbeaten in 4 games before today. Trust him.
Calm down and let the boys up top do their thing."

"Joe, I'm sorry but I'm takign you off. You've done nothing
wrong but we need Lucas (Romero) holding in midfield"

"Romero! I know I usually ask you to play in a regista role,
we need to stop Llorente and Dzeko getting clean ball.
Play with fire and tackle everything hat moves."

"Guy, we reached the final last year. It's too early in the
competition to screw up. Save the **** ups for the final!"

My last comment sent a chuckle of laughter around the room. I didn't need to
shout at them, I didn't need to reprimand them. Just remind them that we're
not beaten yet. They've had their 45. It's now time for ours.

Howedes leveling the scores shortly after the restart. It was a proper
poachers finish that left the Roma Keeper with no chance!

And then it happened.

"Kolorv's got the ball on the half way line,
he passes it on to Coutinho. Coutinho spots the
run of Sturridge and... GOAL!!!! Liverpool are ahead.

2-0 down after 20 minutes, Liverpool are now
leading Roma 2-3 with 20 minutes to go!

I've never been prouder this season. We've dominated games and
destroyed Champions. But the character we've shown to claw back
from 2-0 down is something special. 3 away goals and the victory.
