The title race is reaching frantic pace right now as myself
and United both fight for 1st place.

****** close game but Icardi scored the only goal and we went down
1-0. United had dropped points with a 1-1 draw at Everton so they
went above us level on points, but with a superior goal difference.

Bitterly disappointed to not only loose this game, but to not even
score an away goal could cost us dearly as we have seen so many
times int he history of European competitions.

Meyer started this game but by god, he played sensationally; scoring two
to secure the points for us.

We fought valiantly up to the last. 2-0 at full time to level the tie on the night
but not scoring an away goal prooved to be our undoing. When Lille scored
that away goal in Extra-Time, I turned to my assistant and said "It's over."

My head in my hands, gutted and dejected. I can't afford to drop points and
to do so, so late int eh game when we'd lead.... it was so hard to take. We're
1 point ahead of United and they've a game in hand.

I don't know whether to be relieved or frustrated!
United drawing means we haven't fallen behind . . .
but we missed out on the chance to take a 2 point lead.
United kicked off before the Derby so we would
know what we had to do to keep up.

Okay, we have to beat Everton at home.... My pleasure!

Such a good performance. Anfield has been a difficult place for teams to come and once again,
we've taken a huge result to keep us level with united at the top.

Everyday, until the final day, I'll know what I'll have to do.
It looks like title will be decided on the last day if both teams
don't drop points.
Liverool have the added advantage of not being tied up in European Competitions
so their players have more time on the training ground and can be rested while
United have two fronts to play on as well as a tough fixture against City in the
Champions League Semi-final.
