We continued our run in the Europa league but
there was a massive twist in the title race.

View attachment 318556
Drama was the only was to sum up this game.

View attachment 318555
The 89th minute.... Gutted. Absolutely gutted. Though
we can hold our heads high unbeaten in 22 games.

View attachment 318554
Controlled the game from start to finish and won a tricky tie 6-2 on aggregate.

Joe Allen stole the points against a team I've always found dificult
to beat. 3 huge points here.

View attachment 318551
A game hotly contested in Midfield. Neither team really took control
but it was nice to see Simpson score again. He's been taking the
chances I throw his way and that's promising.

The chances came in the second half and we took them well.

We were utterly humiliated in this game. We conceded 6 for the first time under my management.
We hit the post with our first shot of the game after 3 minutes and then United came down and
then Henderson gave away a penalty and got himself sent-off to add to our woes. Every ****
thing they touched turned to gold and they ripped us open with relative ease. I've absolutely no
clue what went wrong in this game and I'm hoping the injuries to Sturridge and Sterling are not
too serious.

What was once a 6 points lead is now only 1. That loss to United ate into
our lead and we no sit in a very precarious position. 8 games to go and I
still have to go away to City and Arsenal. This is not going to be easy!

I was going to say that was not a bad month until that Man United game, all i can say is OUCH....now its only 1 point between you two, hopefully you can see out the last 8 games and win the league!

The title race is reaching frantic pace right now as myself
and United both fight for 1st place.

****** close game but Icardi scored the only goal and we went down
1-0. United had dropped points with a 1-1 draw at Everton so they
went above us level on points, but with a superior goal difference.

View attachment 318378View attachment 318377
Bitterly disappointed to not only loose this game, but to not even
score an away goal could cost us dearly as we have seen so many
times int he history of European competitions.

View attachment 318376
Meyer started this game but by god, he played sensationally; scoring two
to secure the points for us.

View attachment 318378View attachment 318370
We fought valiantly up to the last. 2-0 at full time to level the tie on the night
but not scoring an away goal prooved to be our undoing. When Lille scored
that away goal in Extra-Time, I turned to my assistant and said "It's over."

My head in my hands, gutted and dejected. I can't afford to drop points and
to do so, so late int eh game when we'd lead.... it was so hard to take. We're
1 point ahead of United and they've a game in hand.

I don't know whether to be relieved or frustrated!
United drawing means we haven't fallen behind . . .
but we missed out on the chance to take a 2 point lead.

United kicked off before the Derby so we would
know what we had to do to keep up.

View attachment 318360
Okay, we have to beat Everton at home.... My pleasure!

Such a good performance. Anfield has been a difficult place for teams to come and once again,
we've taken a huge result to keep us level with united at the top.

3 games to go. The pressure is on!

The next three

Everyday, until the final day, I'll know what I'll have to do.
It looks like title will be decided on the last day if both teams
don't drop points.

Liverool have the added advantage of not being tied up in European Competitions
so their players have more time on the training ground and can be rested while
United have two fronts to play on as well as a tough fixture against City in the
Champions League Semi-final.

I'm disappointed we didn't score more. We absolutely dominate this game and it easily could have been 7 or 8.
The goal difference would have done an enormous amount for us. I'm hoping this doesn't cost me.

Im not involved and even im on the edge of my seat, hopefully you can do it!!!

I have signed Jeronimo Rulli, brilliant keeper from Sociedad on my save. He had £35 million release clause in his contract.
