Liverpool FC Back to the Top

Could u post an ss of ur training please, and how are you developing the likes of rossiter, ibe, Wilson ect....

To be completely honest with you it's only been five months in game since I posted the end of season player by player reviews, a lot of my young players have improved but obviously in that time, it's only minor improvements. I'll post all of them if you like but like I said, there's just not a whole lot of differences from the screenshots I posted before, to right now, in game however Jerome Sinclair and Lloyd Jones have been making exceptional attribute progress so far this season and they probably look the most likely to break in to the first team.

As for how I'm developing the mass talent at the club, well trying to keep them as busy as possible in training without making them unhappy, arrange plenty of games for the reserves so all of them get plenty of game time and lastly tutoring. On the whole the tutoring has worked really well and I've got loads going on right now.

My training speaks for itself really, The players are content with the intensity and type of training, as for match preparation, well almost every game I focus on attacking movement, occasionally when I want to play on the counter and expect a tough game, I'll focus on defensive positioning.

View attachment 367972Next up a huge game against Derby Rivals Everton, with them sitting mid table after a fantastic season, last season, I expected a win here. In truth it was a really tight game, it could of gone either way but for us we have to be disappointed that we didn't win, our star players didn't show up and I let the team know I was disappointed.

View attachment 367977
If there was one game I expected defeat so far this season, it was this one, even though we played counter attacking football we matched City and most importantly we beat them on the scoreline 2-1, Suarez with some exceptional finishing, to continue his fantastic season. Great victory particularly after the disappointment of not beating our rivals Everton.

View attachment 367976
Henderson picked up an injury midweek that keeps him out for three weeks, we're missing some really key players at the moment and there's some tired legs in the squad so I was expecting a tough game here, particularly because Newcastle are having a brilliant season sitting in fourth place. We definitely had the better of the play but we struggled to find the breakthrough, our big players didn't show up and that's another disappointing 0-0.

View attachment 367975
With first place already secured, I took this opportunity to again give some young players some game time, despite play away against Schalke. This was a really close game, Steven Gerrard frustratingly got sent off early in the second half, after I'd brought him back in to the first team but Sturridge came on to score the winner. There was quite a few really poor tackles in that game, we stacked up quite a few cards and I let the team know about it, talking to the press after the game, that win sees us win all six group games as we topped the group with complete ease.

View attachment 367974
View attachment 367973
A mixed bag of results all in all but given the Everton game was the first time we've dropped points all season, I think we can afford a few off days, I hope it doesn't happen to frequently though, of course that victory against City was a highlight but the draws against Newcastle and Everton were frustrating. Next time we play Man City again, this time in the Capital One Cup Quarter Finals and we approach the busy Christmas period.

View attachment 367971

View attachment 367722Norwich at Anfield next and as we rested almost our best eleven midweek against Schalke, we could approach this game with plenty of confidence, Coutinho also made his return from injury. I was really surprised how few chances we created in this game but we won the game in the end and that's what really matters. Suso came off the bench to score two fine goals and Shawcross picked up man of the match with two goals and some solid defending.

View attachment 367728
Next up another huge game against City, this time in the cup, I was a little surprised to see their line up, the rested quite a few big names and I was looking to capitalise on that. We completely dominated the game and in truth, I don't know how it was only two, we could of scored plenty more, the last few minutes were shaky but we held on for the victory. The draw for the Semi Final sees us face Hull City and we can be confident about retaining this trophy, with the other semi final containing, Fulham and Villa.

View attachment 367727
View attachment 367726
As for the draw for the Last 16 of the Champions League, well we draw AS Monaco, at first I wasn't sure what to expect, of course they've got loads of money in real life but in my past experiences with football manager they've been really unpredictable. We're the winner of our group and they're the runner up so I expect us to get through.

View attachment 367725
There was some very tired legs ahead of this one, Lucas picked up his fifth domestic yellow card and earned himself a suspension and Henderson is still injured so the inexperience of Throne and Hughes are almost forced to come in, with Byram and Mulumbu also coming in. A really close encounter this one, we just about beat Aston Villa and probably just about deserved to. Ryan Bertrand continue his great season so far with his first goal for the club, make a run from wide and curling a brilliant finish in to the far corner.

View attachment 367724
Our big front three of Suarez, Sturridge and Coutinho had all hit a poor spell, so they all got dropped, with Suso, Lambert and Sterling coming in. Sterling had a good game, unfortunately the other two played poorly, Lucas scored a fantastic free kick and Suarez came on to make it two. We could of won more comfortably but 2-0 is a solid result.

View attachment 367721
We're back on track this time with four wins out of four, huge win against City to move very close to more silverware and some good wins in the league as well. Next time we'll continue in the Capital One Cup and start our FA Cup campaign, as we look to win it this year.

View attachment 367720

View attachment 367594Cardiff up next and we were cruising in the first half, thanks to goals from Sturridge and Sterling. Some incredibly frustrating defending saw us concede either side of half time as Cardiff levelled the game, we had to make some changes and it was Coutinho who produced the goods, from the bench.

View attachment 367599
League two side Cheltenham would be huge underdogs at Anfield, as we began our FA Cup campaign with plenty of rotation. As I expected we won the game very comfortably, hitting the post four times and running out 3-0 winners, with goals from Suso, Sinclair and Coutinho. A really tough draw, as we play at home to Man United next.

View attachment 367598
With plenty of rest for our first team starters, after the previous game, we could approach this game full of confidence. Unfortunately we just didn't show up, we could have scored but general poor play from everyone on the pitch saw us take a 1-0 defeat, in to the second leg. That's our first defeat of the season and I wasn't expecting it there, we'll have a lot of work to do in the second leg, particularly without an away goal.

View attachment 367597
With Sturridge and Lambert both struggling to find the back of the net recently and Sinclair putting on a good show against Cheltenham, I took the risk of giving him a start for this one. Boy did he repay that faith, scoring twice, the second a beautiful chipped finish from outside the box, when the keeper looked in a good position, he'll definitely keep his place.

View attachment 367596
A really up and down period of results for us there, we just about scraped past Cardiff after some poor defending, we did what was expected of us at home to Cheltenham, then we went on to see one of the biggest shocks of the season, losing to Hull City and we finished with a solid victory over Swansea. Next time we'll need a great performance to see us return to the final of the Capital One Cup and we'll play Man United in the early rounds of the FA Cup.

View attachment 367595

View attachment 367156Suarez comes back in for Coutinho and Sinclair continues up front. Another solid victory here, Suso came off the bench to score, a game that didn't produce fireworks, with Fulham hardly having a kick and Liverpool just about making enough chances to win the game, that will do.

View attachment 367161
Not a whole lot to say about this game, QPR are down in the relegation places and we should be winning this game and we won it comfortably, Sturridge and surprising scorer Allen with the goals, as we continue our winning run.

View attachment 367160
After we were defeated in the first leg, our first defeat this season, we wanted some revenge at Anfield, there's a place at Wembley at stake. What a performance from the team there, the game was all but over at half time, Sturridge continuing his good form and Suarez scoring a brilliant hatrick. We'll play Aston Villa in the final.

View attachment 367159
After that big win to sends us to Wembley, we had some tired plays in the squad so there was so inexperienced names in for this one. United themselves rested some key players and we capitalised, with another goal from Luis Suarez, as we not only progress to the next round but also knock out one of our biggest rivals in this competition.

View attachment 367158
Great period of results from the lads there, nothing but wins and clean sheets is always a good thing, beating United again was brilliant and overturning that one goal deficit against Hull was also a great result. Next time we play some big league games, starting off at home to Spurs and then playing away against United.

View attachment 367157

View attachment 366930A tough game at Anfield, against Spurs up next, That scoreline makes it look like a thrashing it was actually a close game, with ourselves having the better of it but we finished our chances and they didn't, fantastic win there.

View attachment 366929
Another home game next, this time against Sunderland, an early penalty from Sturridge but after that we seemed to lose our way. Despite not letting them score, we let Sunderland come back in to the game and a 1-0 win against Sunderland isn't good enough but I was most disappointed with how few chances we created.

View attachment 366928
On to transfers now and I almost didn't even bother mentioning them because there wasn't much to talk about. There was money to spend but I'm happy with the current squad and given our great form this season, we didn't need to strengthen, as for our out goings, a couple of deadwood players who I couldn't find permanent deals went on loan.

Ryan McLaughlin had been training with the first team as he looked like he might make it, one day, unfortunately his progress had been really poor, he wanted to go on loan so I let him. Lastly Martin Kelly left on a free transfer, after an injury hit season, he was never quite good enough for my team and I'd been trying to shift him for ages.

View attachment 366927
United at Old Trafford up next, in a must win game for them, as they were eleven points behind us in second place. I knew it would be a tough game so I played on the counter. It really was a tough game but we have to be frustrated that our key players didn't show up, United had chances and were unlucky not to be in front.

Just after the break, who else but Juan Mata put United in front, we made some changes and Jerome Sinclair made the impact, scoring from the bench but some poor defending let United straight back in and Van Persie score to win the game 2-1.

View attachment 366926
With both Yacob and Lucas extremely tired for this one, Joe Allen gets a chance to play defensive midfield, he looked solid in that position. What a game this was, we were cruising in the first half but some complacent defending let Forest back in to the game, luckily we held out for the victory. Honestly it could have been 8-4 to Liverpool there was that many chances, we need to defend better and be more clinical but overall we can be satisfied with that win, after the disappointment of losing to United.

View attachment 366925
I've been put of putting up the league table because we're still dominating at the top, it's sort of pointless because on the Liverpool front, nothing has changed but it's been a while so let's take a look. Despite that loss to fierce rivals United, we're still in first place and comfortably, United followed up that win against us with an away draw against struggling QPR, Newcastle, Stoke and Aston Villa are all enjoying great seasons.

View attachment 366924
Bar that defeat against United we won our other three games but we certainly made it hard for ourselves, in both games against Sunderland and Forest, as for the Spurs game, well we played well there and won the game. Next time we get towards the business end of both the FA Cup and the Champions League facing up against Reading and Monaco in the last 16 stage.

View attachment 366923

View attachment 366709Stoke at home now, great performance from the team, I was a little shocked, as despite winning most of our games recently we've not been entirely convincing. There was plenty of star performers, Coutinho and Suarez standing out in a brilliant victory, we dominated Stoke.

View attachment 366708
Plenty of changes here, up against Reading in the last 16 of the FA Cup. Big one for Ryan Fulton, who I was going to give a chance to play against Cheltenham but he picked up an injury. We created tons and tons of chances and could of scored plenty more but never the less we got the job done. Santon made his long await return from injury in this one and it was good to see him back. Next round will see us face either Hull or Leicester at Anfield.

View attachment 366707
View attachment 366706
After we rested pretty much the whole first team ready for this one, there was no excuses for the team not to perform here. What a fantastic game it was, Monaco took an early two goal lead and it wasn't looking good for us but we showed great determination, coming back and leveling the game at 2-2. The second half saw an absolute wonder goal from James Rodriguez and a another from Lucas Leiva, leveling the match in adding time.

View attachment 366705
Unfortunately Johnson picked up an injury that will keep him out for 2-3 weeks in our last game. We really struggled to break down Hull here, I was worried but luckily we got there in the end, once the first goal went in we ran out comfortable winners in the end, with two goals from Suarez.

View attachment 366704
Some good results from us there, we won both of our league games, we also go through to the Quarter Finals of the FA Cup and the Thriller in Monaco, we were favourites but taking a draw and three away goals back to Anfield isn't to bad. Next time we can win our second piece of silverware of this season by retaining the Capital One Cup, against Aston Villa and we can return to Wembley for a Semi Final this time, by beating either Leicester or Hull in the FA Cup.

View attachment 366703

View attachment 366664We're thirteen points clear with ten games to go in the league and with the Capital One Cup Final just around the corner, there was plenty of changes and inexperience for this one. We dominated Reading put just couldn't put our chances away, Sinclair came on in the second half and made an instant impact with a brilliant goal, as we just about get the win.

View attachment 366663
Here it is, the Capital One Cup Final, this could be our second trophy of a possible five so far this season, what a season we're having, hopefully we can keep it up with another win here. The line ups were up and there wasn't much to worry me on their team, we certainly have the better players but we still need to do the business.

View attachment 366662
What a performance from the lads here, we
didn't just dominate the game, Aston Villa had two shots all game, to our twenty six, it was our front three who did the business, Coutinho, Sturridge and Suarez, involved in all of our play. Suso and Sinclair came on to make it five, as we ease to our second piece of silverware this season.

View attachment 366661
View attachment 366660
View attachment 366659
Big game up next playing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, we named an unchanged team. Frustratingly we didn't score for this game, those big front three didn't show up and the rest of the team weren't much better, we were undone by a wonder strike from Willian and couldn't come back, Chelsea were favourites but we still have to be disappointed with that.

View attachment 366657
Because we used the same team for both games inside a week, there was some tired legs now, we had to make lots of changes. I wasn't sure about this one, coming away from a defeat against Chelsea, having to make lots of changes and playing a side who were enjoying a great season but the team proved me wrong, Sturridge scored twice and Sinclair came on to make it three. We'll play Stoke at Wembley in the Semi Finals.

View attachment 366656
View attachment 366655
Despite that lose to rivals Chelsea, we still sit top of the table by quite some distance, ten points to be exact and with eight games to go it would take some incredible slip ups to see us not retain the title, this season. Newcastle are still doing well and they could be on course for a Champions League place.

View attachment 366654
Disappointing defeat to our rivals Chelsea but apart from that we've seen some good wins from the team, what a way to retain a trophy, slaughtering Villa in the Capital One Cup and a similar situation against Hull in the Quarter Finals of the FA Cup. Next time we play some huge games in the league against derby rivals Everton and huge sides City and Arsenal, we'll also play a huge game in the last 16 of the Champions League, our second leg match against Monaco.

View attachment 366652

View attachment 366347Huge game up next as we play Monaco in the Champions League, our season has been great so far but a run in Europe is something we are yet to achieve. The first half was really tight and we took a slim one goal lead thanks to Luis Suarez, the second half was a different story, we dominated with goals from Sakho and super sub Sinclair with yet another. Fantastic win, that sees us go through to the next round.

View attachment 366348
Another huge game up next, after failing to beat Everton earleir in the season, we would look to put that right at Anfield. What a performance! It was yet again the Suarez show as he scored twice, Will Hughes came on and scored his first goal for the club, that's a brilliant performance playing against our derby rivals.

View attachment 366349
We got down to the business end of the Champions League, no easy games now, we were handed a really tough draw, facing off against the holders and our closest rivals, Man United.

View attachment 366350
Despite Arsenal really struggling this season, I was still expecting a tough game, as we were playing at the Emirates. It was a really close game and a draw was probably a fair result, given Arsenals league position of seventh, I'm slightly disappointed that we didn't win that but of course they're a solid side.

View attachment 366351
What a surprise, Tottenham yet again sacked their manager, maybe this time they will get it right but I doubt it, we'll find out as they hired Carlos Queiroz.

View attachment 366352
View attachment 366345
That International break wasn't good from a Liverpool point of view, Santon, Sakho and Sinclair all picked up injurys, keeping them out for a couple of weeks. It wasn't a classic but Luis Suarez yet again showed his class by scoring twice in the second half, Jordon Ibe came on to make it three and Toure gave City a consilation goal, as we took a deserved victory.

View attachment 366344
We can't really say a bad word about those results, fantastic wins against City, Everton and Monaco and a draw against Arsenal. Next time we have two huge games in the Champions League Quarter Finals, against who else but our closest rivals, Man United and we can also move one step further to more silverware by beating Stoke in the FA Cup at Wembley.

View attachment 366343

View attachment 365948Massive game here against rivals United, I was a little concerned with the injured Sakho, Ilori was partnering Shawcross in defence for this one. We had chances to grab an important goal but we didn't take them, United had the better of the play and rightly take a lead in to the second leg. Difficult situation to take back to Anfield, an away goal from them, means we'd need to score three but there's still life in the tie.

View attachment 365947
I tried to keep the core of the team together here but we'd played a lot of big games recently so changes were inevitable. It was a really close game at Wembley, Stoke were in the match for almost ninety minutes, they created chances and had plenty of the play. We have to be frustrated by that but clinical finishing by Sturridge saw us take victory, Will Hughes came on and performed really well again. We'll play a difficult game against Chelsea in the final.

View attachment 365946
I rested every single member of my first eleven for this one, the game against United in the Champions League is very important. Really frustrating game, we had the chances to win the game and probably should of done but at this stage of the season, I'm not to bothered about our league form.

View attachment 365945
A point would win us the league against Villa and despite frustratingly not taking all three, we picked up a point and take the Premeir League title home for a second successive season and with four games to spare, what an achievement that is!

View attachment 365944
One of the biggest games of the season now and with the squad completely rested, there was no excuses. Kagawa gave United an early lead, that meant we had to put in one **** of a performance, needing three goals to go through. Shawcross headed home shortly before half time and Coutinho finished off a scrappy goal in the second half, we pushed and pushed for that third goal but it wouldn't come.

Unfortunately that means we're out of the Champions League, Luis Suarez had a shocker and was nowhere to be seen but of all the teams we could of lost to, our closest rivals, Man United. Still it was our first season back in the Champions League, after to long, the Quarter Finals was the boards expectations and I'm happy with that, hopefully we can build on that next season.

View attachment 365943
What a season for Liverpool! We've wrapped up the league with four games to go, Newcastle can still finish in the top four, while Stoke are still enjoying a great campaign. Unfortunately for them, Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace have been relegated and will be playing Championship football next year.

View attachment 365942
Well those results weren't the best, A good win in the FA Cup Semi Final against Stoke but apart from that the team have been quite poor, beating United at home but conceding an away goal put us out and a draw at home to Aston Villa, a game we should of won. We did manage to lift the league title though for the second year running. Next time we'll give plenty of young legs a run around with four league games left and the title already coming home with us and despite a poor run of results we can still finish the season with a fourth trophy, by beating Chelsea in the FA Cup Final.

View attachment 365941

Great story so far! Good stuff winning two titles in a row, the champions league should be the next step. Will be interesting to see how you strengthen.

Great story so far! Good stuff winning two titles in a row, the champions league should be the next step. Will be interesting to see how you strengthen.

Thank you, I've been thinking about positions I'd like to strengthen, I don't want to give to much away though as we're coming towards the end of the season, all will be revealed shortly.

View attachment 365690I said i was going to give plenty of young legs a run around and I plan to, notable changes are Fulton, Rossiter, Throne and Jones coming in. There was the odd good performer but on the whole the team performed quite poorly but of course we were playing some very young players.

View attachment 365689
With the great season Newcastle were having I didn't trust the young players to step up for this one, so there was whole sale changes in the side. That proved a wise decision, it was our big front three who yet again were unstoppable, Suarez, Sturridge and Coutinho, brilliant stuff from them, not for the first time this season. Unfortunately Sturridge picked up an injury for three weeks, that'll keep him out of the FA Cup Final against Chelsea.

View attachment 365688
With Palace already relegated, I played plenty of youngsters in this one, with Sturridge out and Sinclair still getting back to match fitness, Lambert got a chance to get back to that early season form, starting the match. Lambert produced the goods, scoring as Suarez came on in the second half to make it two, good finish to our last home game of the season, we end the campaign without a single lose at Anfield, that's a great record!

View attachment 365687
Here we are, the FA Cup Final against rivals Chelsea, Suarez stays in his wide position and Lambert keeps his place up front. Shocking news as we saw the line ups ahead of the game, Chris Smalling had been shifted to centre back over the ageing John Terry, with both David Luiz and Dejan Lovren out injured so that meant the incredibly inexperienced Ola Aina would play at right back, I had to take advantage!

View attachment 365686
I was tempted to swap Coutinho and Suarez, letting my star man Luis go right up against the youngster but Coutinho had been playing on the left all season, so I let him have a go, while I put exploit the left flank on. After twenty minutes it wasn't working so I swapped Luis Suarez to the left flank and played Coutinho in his favoured position, off the striker.

View attachment 365685
Rickie Lambert put us ahead with a powerful header from an in swinging Coutinho corner, early in the second half, Suarez didn't do the business against young Aina so I sent on Sterling to try, he didn't manage much either. None the less, we won the game and it was an unlikely hero in the end, Lambert scoring the only goal in the absence of Daniel Sturridge. That's a great way to end the season and that's our fourth trophy this season!

View attachment 365684
View attachment 365683
View attachment 365682
More youngsters on the go for this game, our last of the season and what a season it has been, hopefully we could end it with victory. We were cruising in the first half, thanks to goals from Lambert and Coutinho, unfortunately the team seemed to fall apart in the second half, letting Cardiff back in to the game, luckily we managed to hold out for victory.

View attachment 365681
As we approached the last few games of the season there was nothing to play for in the league, so we let the youngsters get some experience. As for the FA Cup, well it was a brilliant way to cap the season, Rickie Lambert was the hero, scoring the only goal of the game. Next time there's plenty to talk about with the end of season domestic awards and quite a few manager sackings and hirings, we'll also find out who wins the Champions League, Man United or Bayern Munchen?

View attachment 365517After a fantastic season Luis Suarez wins the Football of the Year award, elsewhere Eden Hazard won the Players Player of the Year and Wilfried Bony won the Top Goalscorer award for the second year running, Suarez actually tied with him on twenty goals but I'm guessing that Bony takes the award because he played less games.

The Players Young Player of the Year was won by Lorenzo Insigne of Man City, I was really surprised Coutinho wasn't named amongst the top three for this award, he'd had a brilliant season. Simon Mignolet took home the Golden Glove award for the second successive season, after a really good season. I also won the Manager of the Year award for the second successive season.

As for the Team of the Year, well there was no fewer than five Liverpool players in the team, more than any other side, right through the heart of the defence, Mignolet, Shawcross and Sakho were voted the best in the league, of course Luis Suarez has to make the team and Daniel Sturridge was named on the bench.

View attachment 365515
A final look at the table for Liverpool looks fantastic, not only did we win the league with four games to go, we notched up the highest ever points total in Premier League history, 98 points, beating Chelsea's previous record of 95. Newcastle pipped Man City to a Champions League place, while Stoke and Aston Villa both enjoyed good seasons and finally, Reading Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest, were the unlucky three who make the drop down to the Championship.

View attachment 365527
Great news on the facilities at the club, I'd had these arranged for months but now the season is over we can put the plans in to action. If I remember rightly I'm sure the board told me they planned to upgrade the stadium by around six thousand, now the plan is to upgrade by just over one thousand seats, I'm disappointed with that. The training facilities will also be upgraded, that''ll be great for the progress of our young players.

Two of the three relegated teams sacked their manager but I won't mention them because I didn't get an inbox for the managers they hired because they're playing in the Championship now. Man City yet again followed suit with another manager sacking and hiring, Bielsa got the boot as Simeone comes in.

The Champions League final was played in Germany, Berlin and Bayern took full advantage of that, it took them until extra time to do it but they ran out 3-0 winners in the end. Obviously I don't like seeing United win anything, even on FM, especially considering they knocked us out of the competition.

Next we'll review every single players season with player by player reviews.

View attachment 365413Fantastic season from our number one keeper, Simon Mignolet, he averaged more than one clean sheet every two games, that's a brilliant stat for a goalie and while our defence more then did their bit so did Mignolet, shown by his great average rating.

View attachment 365411
A very productive season for Ryan Fulton, he might not get much game time behind Simon but this season he made his first team debut and he's showed me that if something did happen to our number one, he'd be more than capable of slotting in.

Glen Johnson had a really good season, certainly better than his last. He is an ageing player and his attributes have taken a general decline but there's still a really good player in there, I'll be keeping him for another season and then I'll take a look from there.

View attachment 365407
A difficult season for Davide Santon, with that long term injury keeping him out for a third of the season, he struggling to hit the heights of last season, when he was my Young Player of the Season. His attributes also halted with that injury but he's still had a solid season and I'm sure there's plenty more to come.

View attachment 365405
Another really good season from Ryan Shawcross, he's improved on last season. Unfortunately his composure attribute has seen a slight decline for some reason, he does give the ball away in some dangerous positions, which is worrying but defensively there aren't many better.

What progress Lloyd Jones has made yet again, his first team chances were limited but when he did play he looked solid. If he continues to progress like this, it won't be long before I'll have to hand him a first team chance.

It's a similar situation for Mamadou Sakho as with Ryan Shawcross, they've both had really good seasons, improved upon last season and are both rock solid at the heart of my defence.

Tiago Ilori's performance have been solid this season but his attribute progress is something that really worries me, he's still young and he's been mentored by Mamadou Sakho this season. It might seem harsh but I'm going to try and sell him on, his not got to long until he's 23 and for his age, his attributes should be higher, particularely his 12 tackling and 13 positioning.

Under the guidance of Glen Johnson, his under study Sam Byram has had a fantastic season, on the pitch he's had plenty of game time and off the pitch his attribute progress has been fantastic.

Ryan Bertrand had a really good season, to be completely honest, he surprised me a little. Stepping up in the absence of Santon and performing better than I expected and he's only 25.
