Back in time for the derby.

Things have been going well in the league. 8 wins form our first 10 games has put us
right up early with the table toppers. I'm looking for a strong season so we can finally
aim one place higher than our 2nd place finish last season.

Things got a little dicey for us after the October international break when both our
English Strikers, Sturridge and Kane got injured in action for England. With Mendy
still on loan back in Belgium and Icardi not providing anything of quality up front,
I was forced to play Firminho in attack as a make-shift forward.

I took a chance playing 6'6" midfielder Ajer as a striker and he payed off far beyond my
expectations. He held up the ball sensationally and the Everton defense could not cope
with the powerful runs. He set up a perfect platform for the rest of the team to play off
him.

A tough game that City eventually took the spoils. We played well, but city were better.

A fantastic piece of skill for new summer signing Salah gave us the 3 points today.

Huge win for us that puts us up to 2nd place. We have the easier of the final fixtures and topping
the group is still a very real possibility since Valencia are at home to Sporting.

Daniel Sturridge played the part of super-sub as he continues his recovery from injury.
Not yet ready for 90 minutes, I've been rotating him with Kane; 45 minutes each. This
was a thriller and the roar around the stadium as Brozovic pulled us ahead.

We open up a 2 point gap at the top of the table. With 14 games gone, We've put ourselves in a
command position for the hectic Christmas schedule.

Our defense crumbled today in what can only be described as a shock result.
Still, chin up and we'll keep fighting.

We missed the chance to go top of the group with this draw. that can only be considered a
disappointment considering the standard expected at this club.

Tough pairing you've got for the Champions. Not that I see any not-so-tough match to pick from. The only rivals I would prefer would be Napoli or Barcelona.

Aye, there's no easy matches at the last 16 stage though. You've to do well to beat anyone.

So happy to see you back pal. Hope all is well

Nice, welcome back!

Will be following again

Same as above, great to see you back Brendn!

Cheers guys :D

Transfers

In

Novitskiy, Roberts, Pilkington and Hartland are all signings for tomorrow and are going straight
into the U18. Gotze however found himself on the transfer list and I decided to make a move for
the German creative midfielder. Odegaard done enough on his loan spell to make the move
permanent as I look to secure the futures of a young creative midfield with Coutinho, Firminho,
Thiago and Wishere coming into their very late 20s. I want to have the replacement in place
should their forum suddenly dip.

Icardi just never made the most of his time at the club. He was inconstant and with Harry
Kane coming in and Sturridge still scoring goals, I decided to bring Mendy back from his
very productive loan spell and give him Icardi's place in the first team squad.

This was a disastrous month. We lost a lot of ground and slid down the table. We're 10 points off City
in first place having sat top of the table for most of the league campaign. We'll have to buck up our
performances or this could be another season were the title is just out of reach.

Still going well with the story mate!

Who do you have in defense? Seem to concede quite a few

My defense is definitely the weakest part but I've 2-3 youth prospects I'm blooding and ready to take over in a season or two. I hate buying first team players if there's a young player snapping at the bit to get the spot.

Current Defense (in order of preference).
1st choice - Joe Gomez
2nd choice - Marquinhos
3rd choice - Emanuel Mammana.
4th choice - Paul Miller (regen)

Here's the guys coming through the system who I expect to be ready soon if the defense still has problems next season.

One of the best stories I've ever seen in here mate. Good luck!

As always, one of my favorite parts of any season is the youth intake; and this one was
somewhat special. Not only did I get a player coming through who could be a first team
star in years to come, he's a liverpool local. Our youth Goalkeeper, Jack Barry is also
a Liverpool boy so I'm happy to have two locals in a position to make it into the first
team. It's been to long since there was some local talent playing at Anfield.

A massive effort saw us over the line from the 2018/19 Champions League winners. We're through
to the Quarter Finals for the first time in 11 years.

I'm genuinely concerned we may not make the top 4 this season. 2nd-5th is so tight.
