They'd just won the Champions League so I knew they had cash to burn and I didn't need t sell.
It was always going to be a high fee or no fee.
 
First up I want to congratulate you on finishing second in the BPL, you've made some massive improvements this season. It will be nice to see Liverpool in the Champions League again. Too bad about the Europa League results against Schalke but you can't win them all. Despite the fact that I am somwhat sad to see Ings leave, for that price you'd be mad not to sell. Interesting to see who else you're going to bring in with that money.
 
Correa is a great buy. In the second season at United he's been outstanding in the CAM role :)
 
Nice to see we have an early candidate for the psycotic rant of the year award. Always good to get in early! When will you learn that you are playing the game wrong Brendn? ;)

Let him (or anyone else for that matter) run their games how they want to. You don't like it, don't click on the thread. Resorting to tawdry abuse over a darn video game is frankly ridiculous.

FWIW, I've always found Brendn's story's to be enjoyable as they're among the more realistic ones. I don't venture over this side of the board too often as all the uber successful story's with ridiculously big scorelines I have a hard time believing personally but Brendn's always struck me as just playing the game and taking whatever comes. Good or bad.

Those stats on Butland look pretty darn good to me too for a solid 'keeper, with the added bonus of being English. But each to their own.

Cheers mate. I'll be without Butland for the 1st half of the season since Stoke wanted a 6 month Loan back clause in the deal which means we won't be here till September 9th and I'll just about miss the Premier League registration. He'll gain math fitness with the U21s and settle into the club to be ready to take over in January.

Aye, He's only a 25-30 game a season striker though because of his injury concerns so I see it as a way to grab important goals in big games but leave me with room to give Mendy game time since Jovitic will need the rest time.
Trying to be clever with how I used my squad.

Given that he's primarily a wide player, I thought he'd struggle to adapt to my central passing-bases system
so I was willing to let him go for a decent fee. He's a good player and £35M is what he could have been worth
to us had I played with wide forwards.

Brought him in on loan since I'm not sold on weather or not he'll fit in with my style.
He's skillful and unpredictable but I want to see him make some magic before I sign
him on a full time basis. Paying only 40% of his wages means we're not taking much
of a financial hit from this deal. £10M buy-fee is what he'll have to prove he's worth
for me to sign him permanently.

Ibe has been making me a fortune and saving me paying his wages while he learns
his trade playing in the Premier League. I don't play with wide forwards so I'll probably
end up cashing in on him for a high fee when he's developed and in his prime.
