What a win. The top of the group was already won but this one was for the bragging rights. Last time I went
to the Santiago Bernabéu, we lost. This time we walked away with 6 wins from 6.

So disappointed in Brozovic this game. We fell apart and couldn't get into the game after going behind.

We just about couldn't get back into this game. Lallana came in and grabbed a great goal
I seriously felt we could grab the goal but I guess it wasn't meant to be.

After loosing two games on the trot, I felt we not only needed a win, we got a performance. I'm
very proud of the boys for reminding the league that we still have a title charge in us.

We were out of this game from the outset! Took us so long to get back into the game and then
Moreno saw the bin and I buried my head in my hands. After the break, we fought our way into
the game and started to dominate the stats buts we couldn't get the goal... then Chelsea secured
their 3 points late int he game with a counter attack. Chelsea take control of the title race.

With Valdes set the retire at the end of the season, We made our move for a new back-up keeper.
I was delighted to see that Zieler hadn't signed a new contract and we now have the chance to sign
him on an end of contract agreement. We'll have Butland and Zieler; two world class keepers competing.

We've gotten a great young Center Back on an end of contract agreement. 12 Brazil national caps
for the 24 year old is an impressive feat and we're getting a good competent center back.

I wanted a new Right winger to add to our options out wide and Salah was exactly the kind
of player I was looking for. Quick, Agile, flair and technique. He's the perfect wide forward.

This was a huge deal for us. I was feeling the pinch at Centre back and then Mammana came on the
market for £4.9M. I jumped at the chance to get him for a knock down price. He had grown frustrated
playing in South America and wanted to move to a bigger club. With us progressing into the UEFA first
Knock-out round as a 1st seed team and involved in an active title channel in one of Europe's top rated
leagues, we were a match made in heaven and the deal was arranged and finalized soon.

I see us being a much stronger side next year. I've been building the clubs reputation and finances for a while now so that when these kinds of players are available, I can offer them good contracts and be the favorite to sign them.
 
Hi Brendn, I followed last years story and this years and I think what you do is great. You don't buy all the usual players you branch put and buy players which people don't always think of. This is one of the best bits of the story for me. I support Liverpool and I love a good game with them. I try to sell some useless players and ring in some youngsters. It's good to see you bring in experience as well. I love financial prudence as well. The wage budget is £2m when you take over, have you managed to reduce this? Keep up the good work pal!

I think it's a part of the tradition of the 5 year plan. I try not to buy the insta-sucsess players and build a legacy. I love to develop young players as that's the Liverpool way in my opinion. I love giving younth a chance to impress me and if they're good enough, they're old enough :)

The financial prudence is because Liverpool don't have the massive corporate deals and sponsorship as the other Top 4 teams so I can't spend recklessly and just will everything o be rosy. A few years without success can cripple Liverpool (as we've seen without Champions League for so long) so I try to keep the budgets to a minimum so we can go crazy when we're in a position to capitalize on hard graft and work after many seasons.

The wage budget is £2m when you take over, have you managed to reduce this? Keep up the good work pal!

To be honest, The wage budget is 500K higher. £2.5Mp/w isn't that much for a Premier league club with title aspirations so I don't see any sense in cutting down for the sake of cutting down.

Once I reach the end of this season, I'll be giving this save a break for a while. Don't worry, it won't be over. I will be coming back to it but this Liverpool save is the only one I've started and played in FM16 so I want to diverse out a bit and play a few other saves.​

The legend of Mendy continues and he's just written a new chapter: The day he became a first team regular.
Our home leg of the Champions League 1st round knock out, I played a 4-2-3-1 (Wide) to utilize Sturridge
up front as a poacher with Origi, Correa and Coutinho playing supporting roles in advanced midfield positions.

Early into the First half, Sturridge had to come off with a damaged heel, so I brought on Firminho, moved
Origi into a striker role and let the Brazilian cut inside from the far right. No sooner had Firminho settled into
the game, he was forced off injured after he came out the worse in a tackle. I had a choice: Keep Origi up
front and bring on Lallana or move Origi wide again and ask Mendy to do the unthinkable... Lead the line
against PSG in the Champions League.

He's ready. If he can do that against Europe's Elite, dose he really need time to 'develop'... The boy's
earned his shot in the first team.

Mendy is unreal!!! One of the best regens I've ever seen, love how he's smashing them in his first proper season, can wait to start my LFC save, I'm an LFC fan btw

I know right!!! :) i'm so **** excited for how he'll turn out.
He very well could be one of the best regens I've ever found. Insane stats at 17 so I can't wait to see what he'll be like at 25

his second season
The broken leg in pre seaosn set him back but he's been back in training about a month and a half now and he's not declined so that's a big plus :) Now to get him on a vein of good form and let him loose to terrorize the Premier league
 
Brendn This is awesome, im totaly HOOKED! I could nto sleep last night so found youre story, got sold totaly on it and dident fall asleep until 7 this morning having you force me to start a Liverpool save developing my own tactic based on youre success.
Got 3 tactics now, 1 with 3x AMC and 1 with AML AMR AMC + 1 with 2x DM and MR ML, was thinking about youre save, tweaking the roles to suit Coutinho, Firmino and Sturridge ^^

Goal of today, play until i get Coutinho a new contract without a release clause ;)
