Untitled-1-16.png

Manchester City's first game in the Npower League One.

Manchester City travelled to Broadhall Way to look for there first win of the season, Manchester City fans wasn't used to see such small ground but I'm afraid that's what it's come to.

Manchester City was excellent today but the scoreline doesn't show that. Stefan Savic was booked on the 10th minute for a tussle with Stevenage Striker Chris Beardsley. 10 minutes later Jon Ashton was booked for upending Kenwyne Jones. Kenwyne Jones then put Manchester City 1-0 up on the 26th minute.

Not much happened in the second half, Chris Beardsley of Stevenage was sent of in the 56th minute which was for a elbowing Stefan Savic in the face. These two was a loggerheads through out the 90th minutes.

Manchester City had 18 shots with 6 on target and a total possesion of 54%. Stevenage had 8 shots with 3 on target and 46% possesion.

So Manchester City got there first win of the season today, the fans absolutely hated the atmosphere and ground. "It's nothing like the Premier League" said one of the fans.

Manchester City's finally had a home game and it was in the first round of the Carling Cup against Hartlepool United.

Hartlepool travelled to The City Of Manchester Stadium in hope to have the upset of the round.

Probably one of the most boring matches I've ever witnessed but that's what League One is in comparison with the Premier League so City just had to get on with it. The only goal of the game was just before half time when Vladimir Weiss took on 3 players to smash to ball into the top left corner, what a fantastic goal it was.

In the second half Manchester City was constantly attacking giving Hartlepool no hope of a equaliser. Evan Horwood of Hartlepool was injured by Tim Krul on the 49th minute.

Manchester City had 21 shots with 6 on target and a total of 55% possession. Hartlepool had 5 shots with 4 of them being on target and a possession percentage of 45.

Manchester City are through to the second round of the Carling cup much to the City fans expectations.

Manchester have 1-0 syndrome as they frustrate Hartlepool again.

Hartlepool fans traveled to The City Of Manchester Stadium again within 4 days of playing them in the Carling Cup and losing 1-0.

Marc Albrighton scored in the 5th minute to give the blues the lead with a fantastic goal weaving in and out of players, eventually smashing it into the bottom right corner.

It was bad news for Manchester City on the 29th and 36th minute when Nedum Onuoha and Kenwyne Jones was substituted after getting injured.

Dedryck Boyata was booked in the 77th minute for almost pulling the shirt of James Brown.

Manchester City made it 2 wins out of 2 in the league and was looking forward to the away trip at Derbyshire outfit Chesterfield.

Shock as Chesterfield destroy Manchester City.

Chesterfield absolutely destroyed Manchester City today and nobody seen it coming. 2,000 traveling Manchester City fans was gutted about the outcome.

Craig Westcarr scored on the 45th minute just before half time and sent the Spireites into raptures, a goal before half time is always good for the morale.

One minute after half time and Dwayne Mattis scored for Chesterfield giving them a 2-0 lead. The Spireites though they was dreaming. Stefan Savic has a reported twisted ankle after being subbed on the 62nd minute.

Goallllll Chesterfield score again! This time Dedryck Boyata scored a own goal on the 71st minute. Ryan McGiven made it 4-0 on the 87th minute, McGiven was sold to Chesterfield by Manchester City in the summer.

Manchester City had 12 shots with 6 on target and a total of 58% possession. Chesterfield had 6 shots with 4 of them being on target and a possession percentage of 42.
