Brilliant, Dzeko finally pays me back for picking him in my FT over Gervinho and Kompany.

4-1, this is some sort of statement by City 10 men or not.

If Chelsea beat QPR suddenly they're 2nd and United are in 'crisis', that's the sort of things I can see in tomorrows papers. Football can change in an instant.

I have to say, this is the City I expected to show up and if they can deliver this week in week out and somehow get through their group in Europe this could be the start of a period of success and dominance.

As a Chelsea fan, I admit that Silva/Yaya Toure would walk in my lineup and Aguero/Dzeko would push the boundaries. This City team is on the rise, they can only get better and if Mancini continues playing like this I can't see past a top 2 finish for them.

United will bounce back though that's for sure.

Any journo that uses the word crisis shouldn't be a football correspondant. Can see it in the mirror. cause they're pretty **** anyway

two completely different views on Fletcher, interesting...

As a neutral (Not a City, United or Liverpool fan), when Fletcher was fully fit for United he played outstanding. He's not even 100% now, he surely has a lot of muscle mass to put back on but maybe I'm nostalgic I think he's superb.

Billy's post proves what I think, he doesn't get enough credit and didn't when he was on top of his game. A bit like Carrick in the 09/10 season when I thought he had the season of his life and still the acclaim didn't come, but when his form dips everyone's on his back it's pretty strange.

11 v 11 0-1 at ht and the game was even.

2nd half 45 mins with 10 men we were ripped apart.

jonny evans should be sold after he cost us the game, all i can say is i told u so to all fellow united fans who backed evans. the guy is a joke!!

Johnathan Evans, this is the final straw after 18 months. Do one.

Maybe i will calm down later and change my mind, but seriously, you're an idiot. I'll exact my small revenge by immediately selling you

Gervinho did manage 2 assists and a goal today though, so not exactly awful!;)

Agreed totally United will come back, though what a result at Old Trafford. Evans was poor of course, but they were always against it and had little in the first half to make me think the result would have been in their favour had Evans not gone and done something silly, certainly hope the team looks at themselves instead of just blame it on Evans.

LOL XD What a pummelling, I saw the match and I wasn't expecting that at first. A tight game perhaps, but after Evans got sent off (his own mistake too) it all got easier.

I am speechless. Never ever did I think I would see Utd on the end of a defeat like this at old trafford ion my lifetime. I am not looking forward to when Chelsea play City that's for sure.

That's the plus point of having a filthy-rich Sheikh bankroll you. City are realistically strong contenders for the title I must say.

The guy is not a joke but I can see his confidence being shattered after this.
Plus he is not strong enough.

Either way we dress this up, in the record books it will show 6-1 without the tag line of ''CB sent off and United play half the game with 10 men''.

City have finally delivered what we all thought they were capable of, that's how I'm looking at this. Key thing will be how they follow this up, they need to be consistent and strong in the lead. They can't have too many Craven Cottage episodes if they are going to win this title because I can't see United or Chelsea dropping a 2 goal lead.

Devastated by the result. We should not be losing 6-1 to any team, let alone City. But all credit to city, they took their chances, and kept United quiet. Even scoring against the run of play in the first half.
But as soon as United were down to 10 men, there was only going to be one outcome. And once the 3rd went in, United basically gave up apart from the goal.
Only player for United I'm disappointed in is Evans. Stupid mistake to make.

But in the long run, I'm not to worried. United will bounce back like they always do and still 3/4 of the league to go.
And lets not forget, United have 19 titles to City's 2.

Trololololol. All I can say really. Was lterally sat watching the game laughing at United get torn apart. Almost as funny as Arsenal losing 8-2 at Old Trafford, but not quite on that level! Jonny Evans has really got to jog on now, he is nowhere near good enough for a team such as Manchester United! Would probably be better suited for Burton Albion!?

So when can Vidic finally come back and sort out our defense? This is an abysmal performance from our back 4. Ferdinand was so reluctant to run, Evra plays with no passion when he is defending and Smalling can't do everything by himself. I don't need to say anything about Evans.

Terrible from us, I was hoping that Vidic would start, and Berbatov too, because he's been really good whenever we plays at home. Welbeck on the other hand always gives me the impression that he is a bit reluctant to shoot. Watching this game despite having a final exam tomorrow and now I don't even have the mood to study for it. The whole team better sort themselves out, this is outright embarrassing.

I won't respect any Manchester United fan who comes up with excuses today. The team was outclassed, Jonny Evans shouldn't be used an excuse, he was idiotic, deserved his red card. Congratulations City, people like Joe deserve to be able to brag for a while now.

the blue moon has risen? what a performance! HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA
