I lost to Brentford remember. :D

31st August 2009
Another defeat for Palace as they slumped to a 2-0 defeat at London Road. 'Our performances are getting poorer and poorer, relegation is on the cards if we do not buck our ideas up!' Gregg's men have minus 8 points after 5 games, a dreadful start for the troubled club.

Brentford > Crewe. Anyway I'll leave that conversation to the actual net game thread.

Always tough playing a team with financial troubles so fair play to you guys for taking up the challenge

I was amazed. We had won. Crystal Palace had taken the game to Scunthorpe. I played Scannell out of instinct. I was right. Lee scoring again and Scannell scoring the winner. Hooper scored their goal. A blistering striker. One on the top of my list for January. I decided to drive home on my own after the celebrations. I feel the players are back on my side now. One more win and we will see negative numbers no more. Alan Lee is now the star striker. Third in the Top Scorers Rankings. Now we have to focus and get ourselves out of this mess. The sun is shining on me for once, emphasising our intentions this year.

Thanks for the support everyone :)
Especially Kaka ;)

6th August 2009
The Eagles have today claimed their first league win of the season! They have beaten Scunthorpe 4-3! The goals came from Hayes (OG), McCarthy and another brace from Freddie Sears. 'This win is long overdue, I am relieved we have finally got three points out of a match'

Might update later :)
Going to do some of my Blues story ;)

Crystal Palace- Relegation? I have great news. Relegation looks a bit less likely now! Alan Lee, Sean Scannell, Stern John and Fred Sears are all in scintillating form. Sears notably scored an amazing late screamer when we came back from two goals down against QPR. We stunned Derby and West Brom. Both games were 2-0 victories. Alan Lee grabbed a memorable brace in the dying minutes of the West Brom match. We have turned the results round significantly. However, I have made my mind up about Moses. He under performs and I am looking to get £3M+ in January, for him. The takeover is on the rocks. This is another issue as we desperately need funding in January. Onwards and upwards as they say!

Well done Chris, We are storming Max and Luke now! ;)

Nice one Chris, your team are definately turning it around.

I wasn't going to update but oh well...

I sat on my desk amazed. 3-0 against Sheffield Wednesday. How? Danns had scored an amazing 35 yard free kick that dipped beautifully under the bar before going in. Stern John had smashed an unstoppable shot home and N'Diaye had scored a wonderful placed goal, late in the game. Speroni was amazing and we would have conceded four or five without him. We find ourselves out of the relegation zone! Things are looking up for Palace!

yes i think this thread is awsome how you guys start on minus money if you asked me to play i would have already been in january its that good

Scannell and Moses not looking for way out:
Sean Scannell and Victor Moses have confirmed to boss Max King they want to stay with their club Crystal Palace until the end of the season and help Palace in their push for survival. Sean and Victor were both interviewed earlier..

Scannell - "I don't want to be forced out of the club I love. I've been here since I was a youngster, and I don't plan on leaving for reserve Premier League football when the going gets tough here. I know where I stand here, and I'm happy, big teams can bid all they want, I'm not going anywhere for any amount of money.

Moses - "I want to stay here until the end of the season. Much like Sean Scannell I love this club but I can't see myself leaving at the current time. There is no bonus for me leaving, and I'm better off staying here for the rest of the season, the new gaffer Max has helped me a lot so far and I think I'm getting better as a player and I'm more confident. Once again I'll say it, I'm not moving this season unless the club needs me to leave for financial reasons, but after this season, I'll have another look at the situation and think about my options".

Moses was later seen at White Hart Lane talking to Spurs manager Harry Redknapp, it's reported there has been no bid made, and no permission was given to Spurs to talk to Moses.

Meanwhile Sean Scannell reported to training bright and early and looked up for the next game against Q.P.R.
