Spartans fail to make Impact
It was there first game of the season for all the teams and they all were nervous but not as nervous as the Blyth sqaud. There opener was away to an Aldershot who managed to get ESPN to but the game on TV. So the two teams come out onto the field and both sets of fans start to cheer. Evan with the long distance a health number of Spartans travelled to the game. In the first half it was evan stevens as they went into the break. The spartan sqaud had seemed to look more interested and raring to go. The second half wasnt as lucky for Blyth as Aldershot took the lead of 49 mins. Striker Danny Hylton placed it past Areola in the Blyth goal. The game quieted down until Aldershot made sure of 3 points with a goal from Dylan McGeouch on 86 minutes. Nothing cames from Blyth as they just finished the game with the heads down, not what Soulsby wanted to start the season with... Aldershot 2 - 0 Blyth Spartans

Blyth travel to Preston for League Cup tie
With a away defeat only 4 days ago the morale still isnt at its best as the League Cup is taking the team down to Preston. Preston are a league 1 team and started well. Blyth will need a bit of look on there side to get passed them. The sight of Deepdale was seen as they approched. This was the first time for a few memebers of the sqaud to play at a stadium of its size. The sqauds go onto the pitch to shake hands. It only took 15 minutes for Preston to open the scoring. Michael Paton goes and celebrates with the crowd after his volley. It was calm for the rest of the half. But the second half just put the end to Blyth's cup run (If you call it that!). Jon Stead made it 2-0 on 69 mins. Surley that was Blyth out of the running. And to round it up a goal from Damian Jaron on 85 mins. Blyth were beaten and out... Preston 3 - 0 Blyth - LC

Blyth travel again to Gillingham

Blyth are the travellers this openening week as they travel to Gillingham. The game kicks off and both sides try to retian the ball off eachother. And to much supprise Spartans take the lead. Mel O'Halloran of who is on loan from the Toon scores his first Blyth goal on 8 minutes. :) But on 21 mins Gillingham pull level. Ben Hunt on the counter attack makes it 1-1. Half time goes and Gillingham take immediate control with Ben Hunts second of the game on 46 mins. Then a mistake by Dario Dumic who trips Ben Hunt in the box, Pen !!! Ben Hunt shoots and completes his hatrick infront of 3500 hom supporters. On the last minute of time Mel O'Halloran pulls one back for Blyth but there wasnt enough time to equilise. 3 games, 3 defeats for Blyth, that surley cant good ... Gillingham 3 - 2 Blyth Spartans

So Michael, the season has started and Blyth havnt won yet, what do you think about that ?

Well its still early on and we have played good sides and i expect the upcoming game against Cambridge will be our turning point. Also with the fans behind the sqaud there's a slight advantage to us.

With the southeners coming up, do you think that you can take 3 points ?

I believe so, its the first home game and i hope that the players will feel more comfertable. Evan if we dont get we want on tuesday, there is still time.

Second half came with the teams level and then on 67 mins, Paul Mcgowen got his and Cambridge's second of the game. Paced into the net from close range. Blyth could attack from then and Cambridge got there 3rd. Chris Holoroyd on 90 mins wrapped up the points for Cambridge with a thuderous volley in the 6 yard box... Blyth 1 - 3 Cambridge

Blyth's second home game was again on a tuesday night. The visiters were to be Rushden Diamonds. A crowd of 2353 turned up at the game. The teams walked out, shuck hands and kicked off. And it went advantage Blyth as James Forrest shot into the bottom corner of the Rushden goal. He goes and celebrates with the lads in the crowd. 1-0 to the Blyth. But soon after Rushden pulled level on 36 minutes. Striker Adam Sharpe chipped the keeper to make it 1-1. They battled on throughout the game but couldnt score. Blyth take there first point of the season, aventually... Blyth 1 - 1 Rushden

Blyth awarded 3 points
Blyth were on the travel again but this time down to Brentford. Brentford weren't having there best start either so the game was bound to be close. The teams came out and took there positions. Kicked off and the position was keep whiching with nothing coming from them. Until Blyth get a corner, crossed in by Kane Hemmings and it meets the head of defender Kamil Wiktorski. GOAL !! Blyth took the lead on 35 minutes. After that it went quiet for the rest of the game and the whistle went and the traveling Blyth has gave a almighty cheer. They had won... Brentford 0 - 1 Blyth

Blyth evan went 2-0 up on 36 minutes from the sub Andy Bishop placed shot. Blyth went 2-0 up at half time and with confidence on there side. In the second hald it started off quite until Andy Bishop made sure of victory with his second goal on 75 mins. The Blyth fans went mental and celebrated right until the whistile. The players , staff , fans and manager had big smiles all over there faces. The had went through into the next round... Blyth 3 - 0 Bradford JPT

Spartans hammer Rivals
After a terrible start to the season by the Spartans, today would have reallt boosted there confidence. Just after 4 minutes Rogelio Adams turned and shot into the roof of the net to give Blyth a lead. Ross Campbell equilised on 34 minutes for Carlisle. Straight after Blyth took the lead again from a goal off Luke McCarthy on 37 minutes. Ben Kudjodi equilised again on 39 minutes and it stood like that till half time. Marko Mitorvic pulled Blyth ahead on 57 minutes and then 2 minutes later another. Blyth were 4-2 up without an hour played. On 61 minutes, sub Andy Bishop fired home and made the score 5-2 to Spartans. A game to be proud of from the fans and the players... Blyth 5 - 2 Carlisle

Blyth Take Point from Game
Another home game for the Spartans as the host Southend. And that was the team who took the lead. On 19 minutes a long ball up towards Freddy Eastwood who proffesionally placed it in the goal. But Blyth didnt last long behind as Dominik Hofbauer finished fantastically in the Southend net. A long run up the line and into the box. Keeper had no chance and it made it 1-1. Nothing exciting came from then and it end one all... Blyth 1 - 1 Southend.

Spartans Fail to Win

The Season so far.....

Since ive agreed that my layout aint the best ive fort that i should do a update on whats happening.

  • In the league ive played 12 games and am on 15 points.
  • In the JPT iam in the second round against Lincoln
  • My position in the league is also 15th
Also from now iam going to just go back to the simpliler layout with the 'Newspaper Article' Not seeming to be attracting people. As the Crewe game was the last in September, from now each month (game) will be updated.
e.g

  • Each game will show which competition it's in
  • The scorers and what time
  • Revenue and opposite team
  • Attendence, Date and Time of kick - off
Iam really sorry about keep changing the layout as i cant deside which suits me best!! Hope people will start to comment again after this change. Thanks for viewing if you are !! :)

What a great way to end the year with a victory and a booked place into the Johnstone's Paint Trophy North against Sheffield Wednesday. Next month will be fantastic with that fixture and the FA Cup 3rd Round draw against Brentford. Already looking forwards to this month and the year 2016.
You beat Brentford :(; Good Luck; especially in the JPT Trophy

Going well mate keep it up. Love the layout u got at the moment!!

I haven't looked on this story for a while and when I come back to it, your in the play-off places and beating County :(
