Dear Diary

I really cant wait for tomorrow. The first game of the new season for the lads and i really want to make a winning start. The lads morale has been fantastic over the summer break and really cant wait to play either. I have a fully fit sqaud but the only worry is with defender Ryan Sullivan who texted me eariler with a bad migraine coming on. But anyway, i will update on sunday after the game,
Michael S.

Spartans 1 - 1 Chelmsford

Sunday 11th August 2013
Dear Diary

After yestaday's performance, iam feeling alot better than i fought i would. Iam happy for a draw as the lads were still tring to blend back into the squad and with a crowd of just under 1400, its not too bad. Update for the away game to Northwich will come tomorrow.

With the travel down to Northwich tomorrow, i did a quick training session today with the lads which i have a full squad but Greg Taylor via suspension from the last game. Looking forwards to the game with a 3 hour bus journey down. Really hope we can get a result from this which is do-able. Report from tomorrow's game will follow,

Dear Diary

After last nights win over Northwich the lads will be needing to be up early again for another training session as on thurday when we host a strong Kettering side. Greg Taylor will be back from suspention. But with goals from Smith and 2 from Hemmings really boosts the confidence levels. Looking forwards to a decent crowd tomorrow and hopefully a great game,

August Results

Rushden 3 - 5 Blyth Spartans ( Hemmings 3, Bendiksen, Kerr )
Wow, what a start to the season. I certainly didnt expect this to be the score. It only took 6 minutes for Hemmings to grab his 1st goal. Great start and hopefully it will continue.

Blyth Spartans 4 - 1 Oxford ( Hemmings 2, Mitrovic, Smyth )
Another fantastic result for the Spartans as they hammer Oxford at Croft Park. An amazing 3504 people turned up to see the tie and most of them went home with smiles upon there faces. Hemmings is on fire infront of goal at the minute.

Blyth Spartans 1 - 0 Blackpool ( Mitrovic )
Blyth have shocked sports fans today after a 1-0 over league 1's Blackpool. The only goal came early from Swed striker Marko Mitrovic. Blyth took immediate control from then until the end. Blyth have been drawn to Prem side Birmingham.

Blyth Spartans 3 - 3 Aldershot ( Adams, Hofbauer, Forrest )
Another high scoring game as both teams take a point from the game. All six goals came in the 2nd half. Each time Blyth took the lead Aldershot soon equilised. Good result for Blyth as there good form goes onwards.

Blyth Spartans 0 - 3 Birmingham
Blyth really deserved to get something from this game as they held and did better than birmingham all the 1st half. But the bigger team started to get better and there best players started to shine. Blyth will be really happy evan though they went out the cup with the performabe they produced. Well done boys !!! Full capacity of 4000 people will help the finances.

Carlisle 1 - 4 Blyth Spartans ( Stockinger, Mason, Bendiksen, Kerr )
The good league still continues with a great result over a strong Carlisle side. Blyth did conside the first goal after 5 minutes. Blyth did equalise and took control the second half by scoring 3 more goals.

Blyth have really suprised me this month without losing a game in the league but having really high scores has narth helpped out.

Upcoming Games

03.09.14 Sheff Wed [H] JPT
06.09.14 Oldham [A]
13.09.14 Bury [H]
16.09.14 Bristol Rovers [A]
20.09.14 Morecambe [H]
24.09.14 Cheltenham [A]
28.09.14 Darlington [A]

Another home cup game and lots more league game. Lets make some process on it then.

Good start to League 2. With Stevenage, I had quite a slow start to the League 2 season, but turned out to have a great campaign, as I'm sure you will. Struggling in League 1, though. Anyway, good luck and maybe sneak the play-offs?

Septmeber Results

Blyth Spartans 0 - 3 Sheffield Wednesday
Well Blyth didnt have the energy today and got dumped out the cup at the earlist chance. Sheffield Wed did really well when they got the ball but struggled to tackle the Blyth players. But when they got an opportunity they took them well. Good attendence for a mid week fixture. Blyth will need to concentrate on the league for now.

Oldham 1 - 3 Blyth Spartans ( Mason 2, Forrest )
Good win for the Blyth as they go top of the league for the first time. Blyth took control from the start as they put 3 past Oldham's keeper. Really hope that the current form continues as the away fixtures come around.

Blyth Spartans 5 - 1 Bury ( Hemmings 2, Dumic, Hofbauer, Williams )
A fantastic game from the Spartans as they hammer a Bury team who a rock bottom. I told them to attck from the off and thats just what they did. Very pleased with them and the fans will back me up with that.

Bristol Rovers 1 - 0 Blyth Spartans
Well thats the end of the unbeaten streak as Bristol take control early on and stopped our attacks each time. This game could really effect the squad as they lost their confidence after the game. Really need to pick it up again and fast !

Cheltenham 2 - 1 Blyth Spartans ( Mitrovic )
Still not back to best as Blyth lose again. The orriginal fixture was posponed and Blyth slipped down a few positions which didnt help with the sqaud morale. We did pull one back but it was to late to have an effect. Not looking good atm.

Darlington 3 - 0 Blyth Spartans
This is really starting to turn into a big problem. Unable to score, conceding goals and not picking up any points. Blyth have moved all the way down to 10th after this result which has made the lads not to happy. They are starting to argurre on the pitch and that isnt a good sign. Something needs to be done. Maybe a change in tactic's ? Maybe the team needs to be changed a little ?

Could somebody think of something which may help ?

If you havnt got a game midweek, organise a friendly with the weakest team possible and try to hammer them into double figures, that will boost morale.

October Results

Blyth Spartans 3 - 1 Exeter ( Mason 3 )
Jeff Mason scores his first hat-rick for Blyth as they take all three points over Exeter. An attendence of 2318 came to see the game and the mogority of them will be happy.

Blyth Spartans 1 - 4 Northampton ( Adams )
Blyth get brought back down to earth as they get thumpped by Northampton. They didnt really stand much of a chance in front of a 2784 strong crowd.

Blyth Spartans 1 - 2 Yeovil ( Mitrovic )
Blyth lose again at home for the second game in a row. Blyth owned most the game until players started to get tired and Yeovil took advantage and grabbed two goals. 2481 people filled Croft Park today.

Blyth Spartans 1 - 1 Tranmere ( Hemmings )
Both teams get a point each as neither team could take the lead. Blyth really should feel bad as a silly own goal gave a poor tranmere team. A cowd of 3333 game to the tie.

Crewe 1 - 1 Blyth Spartans ( Mitrovic )
Crewe can only manage a draw against minnows Blyth as legend and ex manager of Spartans Harry Dunn plays against his old club. 3285 people entred The Alexandra tonight.

Brentford 1 - 2 Blyth Spartans ( Bendkisen, Hemmings )
Blyth fans have been causing problems outside of Griffin Park as they take all three points off Brentford. Blyth took control and didnt let Brentford to get the ball. 3530 football fans came to see the game.

Bournemouth 2 - 0 Blyth Spartans
Bournemouth put a stop to the Spartans with a comfertable win. Blyth couldnt get started as Bournemouth kept the ball in their possetion. 2517 fans travelled to see the game at The Dean.

Blyth Spartans 1 - 4 Grimsby ( Monkhouse )
Blyth will be unhappy after being thumpped by the Magpie's 1-4. Blyth went in 2-0 at half time and nothing changed after the break. Poor end of October for the Spartans. 2960 people came to the game.
