Season 2016/2017
As the summer holidays start coming to an end, the Blyth sqaud are starting to make some activity in the Transfer Market. Blyth had an amazing season last year and winning the JPT and gaining promotion via the Play Off's. Rumors have been reported that half the squad will need to be replaced to deal with the teams in League 1. Everything will be posted on here as soon as possible as the Market opens.
Players Released
Blyth Spartans manager Michael Soulsby has offically named the following players to be leaving in the summer.All the youths which didnt make a full time contract, Goalkeepers James Gilpin, Stephen Deary andJan Budtz, Strikers Sam Wood and Andy Bishop andWinger Ben Hilton. We would like to appologise for releasing each player and hopes there career is successful.
Players Signed
Blyth Spartans are proud to announce that the club has signed a handfull of players to boost the squad's strength. The goalkeeper who was on loan last season from Newcastle Areola Alphonse has signed fully. A local goalkeeper Mark Cook has also signed from Linfield for free. Striker Daniel Nardiello has joined after his relsease from Southend. Romanian Andrei Cristea signed from Rochdale on a free contract. Midfielder Allan Jenkins signed a contract after leaving Blackpool. Left winger Kasim Soltani signed from Hamilton afrer being released. Troy Deeney, Jordan Allen
and Tim Lee have all signed as free agents. Last season Blyth did sign 2 players who joined in July named Craig Barr and Oliver Lancashire.

Blyth win 9-8 on Pens
So a mixed first month in the 3rd tier of football for Blyth as they just lose to Middlesborough and get hammered at home by Walsall. An amazing penelty shoot out against Accrington Stanley where the Blyth goalkeeper Areloa scores the winning goal.
Blyth signed a new player on the last day on the transfer market. Defender Matthew Briggs signed for £100k after being rumored not being happy in Nottingham Forest's Reserves. He will be able to play as soon as his contract details arrive through the post which was last night.
